They have all their shoes out on the floor. They don't keep any shoes in the back. Luckily I was able to find my size but not in the color I wanted. My daughter needed shoes so we came in today for flats. They had big selection of them but she is picky. She definitely found some. Loved the customer service. We were asked if we needed help by two employees and both of them were helpful. I also couldn't help but notice that the employees seemed - I don't want to say "happy" because that sounds patronizing - I just notice good vibes, I guess. If this parking lot weren't such a pain, I'd probably come more often. Store policy also is a plus here. We were told if her size was not in, we could get it sent to our house for free in 4-7 days. At the register area they have a nice selection of novelty items, socks, shoe inserts, I even saw lotions. For someone that does not like shopping, I enjoyed this visit. read more

I hadn't been to DSW in a couple of years, but I always appreciated their variety of shoes and occasional good sales. Today, September 8, 2024, around 12:30 pm, I went to purchase four pairs of shoes. While browsing, I asked a staff member at the desk if they had a particular size available. Before I could finish speaking, she abruptly cut me off, saying, "That's all we have on the floor." Her tone was rude and condescending. I tried to let it go, but when I asked at checkout if I could use the $20 off coupon from their promotion (buy three pairs, get $20 off), she dismissively told me it wouldn't show up for 24-48 hours, again in a rude manner. I went ahead and purchased the shoes, only to see the discount appear in the app immediately after the transaction. Already irritated, I didn't bother bringing it up and decided I might use it another time at a different location or pass it along to a friend. If you're unhappy with your job, it's best not to take it out on customers. This experience left a really bad impression of DSW's customer service. read more

The Short: Don't waste your time here. Order online from somewhere else! The Long: This particular store has the worst selection of men's shoes ever. Typically in any store I expect the men's shoe area to be underwhelming as compared to women's, but here it's exceptionally bad. Most of the shoes in stock at this store can be found for cheaper at Nordstrom's Rack or Macy's which are in close proximity. What's really ridiculously though is that this store will leave a nearly out of stock shoe on display in order to make their selection appear larger than it is. An example of this is a display of Dr Martens boots that has been on display since I have started going into this DSW. The problem? Well, it's literally the display boots and two other pairs. That's all! They are two size 12's and one size 13. So they've kept these three pairs of boots in sizes that I'm sure not too many people wear, just so they can have the appearance of selling Dr Martens. Those three pairs have been there for over a year now and no new sizes have ever been added. You're better off ordering shoes from Nordstrom's Rack online for men's shoes to be honest. read more

Very big open space, the whole inventory is literally out and there is nothing stocked in the back. I like that fact that they have so many different styles and brand and everything is layed out. So if you can't find your size the next step is to order it online. It's free shipping if you're a member and it's free to sign up. For every $100 spent you her $5 back and you also get a $5 reward for your birthday. They also have specials where if you spend a certain amount you get a free gift. They have clearance section on the back of the store. I like the fact that they have an wide collection of bags, purses and also kids shoes. I went today around 10am, an hour after they had just open. I was alittle disappointed with the customer service, 3 workers passed by and not one acknowledged or greeted me. And I used to work here back in 2012 and management emphasize the importance of good customer service and how we should greet and ask the customers if they were needing any assistance. I'm not quite sure what happened from the time I was there to now, but the workers did not seem to be enthused this morning. Someone told me that DSW has children's shoes, and since I like to buy shoes for my grandchildren, decided to check out this store. Yes, they do have children's shoes, not a large stock, but neatly arranged, off to one corner where children can run amuck without interfering with other customers. Easy place to browse, lots of choice, and they keep it tidy. I've bought a few pairs of shoes here recently and found them all in my size and in good shape. All the times I've been in, there have been some other guests but it hasn't been so busy that I felt rushed or like there wasn't room to move around and try things on. Got to the store at exactly 6:00 and it was closed with the doors locked to customers trying to come in -- and a piece of paper with "new" store hours showing 6:00. I read the reviews before posting this - too bad there are so many Karen's in the mix - thinking they are probably people who don't have a life, or spend their life complaining. 9 out of 10 times I find exactly what I want in this store - and many times more than I "need" - if my size is out of stock, I go online, find my size and color selection, order, and get free shipping within 3-5 days at the most. I'm a Rewards Member and there are many perks; such as free gifts (usually with a $49 purchase), numerous $10/$20 off , birthday and anniversary coupons. I've only had to pay full price maybe 1 out of 5 purchases in the last several years. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Since COVID hit, I've noticed a few less staff (all working like busy bees); and I wonder if the store is sometimes understaffed. I like the fact that each and EVERY time I shop here, an associate asks if I need any help. That doesn't happen at every retail shop in Fresno. Horrible customer service. I found a pair of sandals that I wanted to purchase, but I needed a size 7 and the only size 7 was the display. So I went up to Chantal who works there and as soon as I started to say something, she interrupted and said all of our stock is out on the floor. I responded, yes but the size I want is the display and the shoe looks all wasted and worn. She then responded in a smart ass way, oh yeah people try on these shoes everyday. I prefer stores with open stock shoes like this so I can easily browse and see if they have my shoe size. I love this store because they carry women's shoes in sizes larger than 10. I have a larger foot so my shoe boxes usually have a bright yellow sticker on them indicating the size which allows me to find shoes much faster. They have a wide selection of shoes all organized by category (casual, heels, athletic, boots, etc). They are DESIGNER Shoe Warehouse, so don't be worried about not recognizing any of the brands on the shelves. In addition to shoes, they also sell designer handbags at discounted prices. In the back of the store they have clearance racks full of shoeboxes organized by size. Each shoe is marked down with a colored sticker (red, green, blue or purple) which indicate further markdowns. The highest additional markdown being 70%! Some great steals can be found in the clearance section so be sure to check it out. On my most recent visit I found a pair of leather ankle boots for an additional 70% off the already marked down price making them extremely reasonably priced. I'd just like to start out on a positive note and say that this was one of the cleaner, more organized DSW's I've ever been to. However, I'm so used to receiving excellent customer service at DSW and being greeted and assisted during my visit. The workers here, especially during my most recent visit, were completely reluctant to even speak with me. I felt like I was following the workers around the store while they swiftly walked away or busied themselves with rearranging shoes. When I finally caught someone's attention I felt I was treated poorly and even my friend who was barely within earshot said that the worker had a horrible attitude judging by the exasperated tone and sour face. I understand that people are not in a good mood on a daily basis but customer service does involve SERVICE, ya know. Buying them here usually gets me $40 off the original price and if I'm lucky I'll find some other treasures on their clearance section. It's pretty pathetic as a business to NOT ALLOW your customers to use cash, there are hand written signs at each register stating and I quote "If paying with cash you must have exact change!!!" I recently stopped by to purchase some boots and 3 different sales associates approached me to make sure I didn't need any help with anything. No one greeted me right when I walk in. No offered to help me while I basically was walking around for a good couple min til I finally found what I was looking for. Ask for help from the cashier but he just pointed to an aisle and told me to go check there on my own to look for whatever kind of shoe I was looking for. Thought he would come back to helped after checking out the other customer but nope instead he just hangout at the register and talking on his mic. There was 3 of the worker up front by now and when I went back to ask for help 2 of the worker just walk away which lead only the same worker that had i had ask before. And again he failed to help me by just telling me, he is busy and can't help me out in the show floor. Like how are u busy when I'm the only customer in the store. Place is so dead and not welcoming. Need a whole change of staff and management team. Like if u are not willing to help your customer then don't work there. there are so far more people that are willing to take your job position and do better. i give 0 star and will not return to this store. Horrible customer service. Waited in line for approximately five minutes and neither of the two customer service reps acknowledged me. When one finally did, she was condescending. When a white woman came into the checkout line, she was helped immediately and greeted warmly. If people want to be in this profession, they should learn to acquire some soft skills.
