During that visit, one of the coaches, Javi, made comments that were completely inappropriate for an adult in a position of trust. He told my daughter she "fights like a ghetto Black girl," which is an unacceptable and offensive remark to make to any child. He then had my 13-year-old daughter call me on the phone. During that interaction, he asked her to show him my social media pictures and told her he wanted me to have his babies. I have never met this man in my life. When I gave him no attention, he reportedly told my daughter, "Tell her never mind. She looks like she's an attention-seeking mother." I cannot understand why an adult coach would involve a minor in a personal conversation about her mother or make comments like these to a child. Coaches are supposed to mentor, encourage, and create a safe environment not put children in the middle of inappropriate personal interactions. I sincerely hope UFC Gym Reno takes this complaint seriously and investigates what happened. Parents should be able to trust that their children are in a safe, respectful, and professional environment.

Actually, when I first joined I had several negative interactions with staff (to include a Supervisor), so I have mostly avoided FC Staff. Lately though, my experience has been more positive. I come to many of the Zumba classes with Minette, Sarah and Joy. All are high energy and really fun. I also recently tried the new Hyrox Complete class and loved it.

My trainer at Performance EDU (Collin LaPorte) has the experience and training to help me work on various parts of my body, focusing on different muscle groups each session. My best friend has been working out here for two years so this recommendation comes from her as well. Watching all the different fitness coaches here work with people who have varying degrees of endurance and goals reassures me that they all are capable at what they do. The same facility houses a Physical Therapist business, which I personally have not used but my friend has and notes how both the PT's and fitness coaches communicate and work together for the well being of each client.

I actually find myself getting up early on my days off to go to Hotworx for the yoga. During the week I enjoy going right after work. The times are convenient since it all runs on continuous loops 24/7. The infrared saunas warm you deep inside, allowing the muscles to have less strain and more motion. You begin sweating in the first five minutes. Bye bye toxins. There's enough variety to keep you interested and motivated. Besides the 10 saunas there is a small gym area equipped with various weights. Most of the time whether it's just the times I pick, I'm usually the only one in the saunas. The facility is available 24/7. Staffed hours are posted. There are several security items in place for unstaffed times - hall lights dim if no one moves in the hall for 20 minutes, only members can enter with special app on their phone, and there are two panic buttons available to take with you in a sauna. The app allows me to check availability of saunas and times to book two days out. It also records sessions and calories burned. Give it a try.

I instantly was hooked!!! It is so nice going to the gym every day not trying to come up with a workout plan of what area I want to work out for the day. Bryan always has a great game plan; he keeps track of what areas of your body you've already trained for the week and already has a full workout set up and ready to go when you get there. He has so much great advice not only on working out, but on nutrition as well. I will send him messages after the gym or on weekends and ask him if I could eat a certain food with my diet plan or drink a certain beverage and he responds right away and always has something positive to reply with like what I can replace it with instead. Coach B talked me into trying out his Body Sculpting program. I jokingly told him I wanted to have really big guns. He convinced me it was possible. I started going to his coaching sessions a few times a week, and immediately had more energy, better posture, and OMG--muscle definition!!! He gave me instruction on what to eat and how often, so that I didn't feel hungry all the time. Coach B is motivating, but he really doesn't have to be. His Body Sculpting program is SO EASY and gets such FAST results, that you'd have to be kind of an idiot to not be excited about it. I can open jars without the help of hot water for the first time in my life! LOL! Rather than working one-on-one like a standard personal trainer, he does coaching sessions, where several people might be working out all at the same time. This has been really great for me; I've met lots of neat people, and I'm no longer bored with exercise! Every one of the instructors there are great and you can ask him any question when it comes to your training and what you can do to improve it. One of the best things I'd like about it. you're not competing with anybody else, you're only competing with yourself. It doesn't matter if the person next year is running all out at 10 miles an hour and you're running at 6, it's about how you feel at the end of the workout and what you did to help your physical fitness.

The owner, Matt, was quick to respond when I gave the gym a call and provided amazing customer service! He even swung by the gym and introduced himself. Gym is fully equipped with several cardio machines (stairmaster, bikes, treadmills), free weights, benches, turf area, cable machines, resistance machines, two squat racks and much more. In addition, for an extra cost, you can have access to their Recovery Room which has infrared saunas, compression boots for lowerbody (I believe hips too), and massage guns. There are also small lockers that are available for use during your workout. The gym is very clean and all of the equipment is well-maintained. This is my first time at a privately owned gym and I can see why people lean towards em. If you're local, I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out and getting a membership.
