But someone suggested that since I have no idea how to maintain any of the house equipment, I should think about it. So, I asked for recommendations and Sol Heating & Cooling was brought up by a few people. I called 2 companies just to get a quote. Sol called me back within a few hours. I spoke with Dave on the phone. Just speaking with him, I knew I wanted to work with him, and I didn't wait for the other company to call me back. I signed up for twice a year maintenance and scheduled my first appointment. By the way, the other company called me back TWO DAYS later. Dave arrived on time and happily answered the dozen questions I asked. He serviced everything in my attic room...I think it was a hot water heater, boiler (?) and humidifier. He also looked at my gas fireplace to make sure it was running properly. I talked to Dave about getting a water softener installed but I need to wait until next year. However, he did install a new smart thermostat. A week later I texted him with a small thermostat issue and said I didn't want him to come out to service it...I just wanted him to tell me if I could fix it. He got right back to me, sent me simple instructions and a few minutes later the problem was solved. Their company philosophy is to keep everything maintained properly so their service calls are few. I am THRILLED with their service and know that if anything breaks down in the freeze of winter or the heat of summer, I will be taken care of, and the issue will be resolved quickly. I am happy I hired them and what I pay each month is well worth my peace of mind.

When you call for help with air conditioning on a 90+ degree day, you expect prompt service. Mr. Hengeveld was at my home earlier than expected and a welcome sight. Mr. Hengeveld was competent in his assessment of the issue I was having. His estimate for the work was spot on. Mr. Hengeveld worked conservatively as to not run up the bill.
