Every time we dine at Duangrat's we are impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the authentic Thai decor and ambiance, to the amazing service, Duangrat's Thai Restaurant NEVER disappoints.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered our favorite dishes. We enjoyed the crispy vegetable spring rolls, the sesame ginger beef which is served with white rice, and the Thai fried rice. All bites left us satisfied and with enough leftovers to enjoy the next day.

Ate here in a Sunday. A bit of a challenge, since I don't like spicy food and my friends is allergic to crustaceans. This eliminated a good portion of the menu especially since they do not have a separate oil for frying that dishes containing crustaceans were fried in. We started with roti duck roll (with the hype and would get again), the special lychee dumplings (delicious and interesting combo of meat and sweet fruit), and the satay skewers (recommended by the waiter and would get again). For our mains we got the seared sea scallops (good), pad Thai with chicken (very good), and the whole fried rock fish (he decided to chance it and take a pill). For the rock fish, we substituted the Asian Caesar for the spicy simple salad. It was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is elegant and hard to believe one is on Colombia pike.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent. Will return!

My first time in this long-standing establishment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The positives were plenty of parking, a really nice dining room and very attentive service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was OK. There's a lot of great Thai food in the region so it is not near our favorite. For example, I think the noodles could've been cooked to be a little more tender, same with the eggplant. There needs to be a little bit more depth of flavor. I don't know if it's a one off or standard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think it's still a great place for family, a date or group gathering.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My friend and I checked out a new fragrance spot around the corner and decided we wanted Thai. We came here and parking was pretty easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were a little confused on if we were supposed to go upstairs but we stayed downstairs since we saw people eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As we were being seated a couple said the food was delicious and named a few items to get. We were seated immediately and the service was PROMPT, that was lovely! I ordered tea, Thai fried rice spicy and my friend ordered a few things on the menu as well. I was so excited for the rice and it was just the rice spice I needed. Everything was delicious and IF I was back in the are son would absolutely return! Great choice, I highly recommend. Em

Yummm-E. Came for a weekend bite. It didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and very flavorful. The sesame beef and Tom Yum soup were absolutely delectable.

Really enjoyed my first experience here at this [relatively] historic institution. It claims to the first Thai restaurant of its kind in the area, opening in 1987 and winning several local culinary awards and recognitions in the ensuing decades. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated in red, gold, and white, with lots of relics from Thai culture adorning the space. The service was friendly and professional. I had the Yen Ta Fo (Thai pink noodle seafood soup - $15 during lunch) and it was delicious, and very filling. Would absolutely recommend.

This review is for One Night in Bangkok - Duangrat's second floor. Formerly known as Rabieng, they refurbished the upper floor of the restaurant and rebranded it as One Night in Bangkok. The menu focuses on Thai street food. We love the food, my favorite dishes are the Duck noodle soup, fried calamari, chicken satay, and the coffee. Service is great as always, there's less traffic as Rabieng and they are able to serve efficiently. Highly recommend this place!

I came…read morefor a late lunch so I was basically the only person in the restaurant besides staff, so everything I ordered came out very quickly. I wasn't too hungry when coming in for a late lunch so I didn't get big plates. But I can 100% vouch for everything I ate. The Tom Kha was some of the best I have ever had! A slightly mild soup with chicken and coconut flavors (yummmm). I also ordered the mussels (I did not expect them to come in a broth since the menu says they are steamed) but they were surprisingly spicy and delicious. It came with some housemade chili sauce that was even spicier! There were like 7 mussels. Even though it was so spicy, the flavors were delicious so I bared through the spicy sauce. I ordered jasmine tea and it came as a packet of the jasmine tea with hot water. I would've loved it to be brewed loose leaf but that's ok. Overall, this place was delicious, and it was so cute! The decor inside doesn't give "Thai" but it's absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. There is a lot of seating as well and a whole parking lot.

I wouldn't say the inside gives off a Thai restaurant, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For starters, we ordered the duck wrap and the papaya salad. The duck wrap was interesting, but not sure if it was in the good way. The wrap tasted buttery, which was a little different than what I have had before, and the duck didn't really taste like duck and there wasn't much of it. The papaya salad was fine, but not the best I have had. It was a little bit spicy. For the main dish, I ordered the hang-over noodle (Khee Mao), which was I think their version of drunken noodles. I thought it was good, but it was definitely too spicy for my liking but that is my bad for not asking for a lower spice level. The noodles had a nice texture. I wouldn't say this is the best Thai place in NOVA, but I thought it was alright.

We got the crunchy rice with sour pork (naem khao thadaeu), pork shoulder (ping), fried catfish (patod), chicken pad thai (kua mee), and warm coconut milky dessert (bua loy). All the dishes were delicious but a bit more salty than Thai. Feels like a lot of fish sauces in all the dishes. The crunchy rice came with lettuce but ours were not the best lettuce. The fried catfish were nicely fried with a perfect coating. Definitely a dish to get. The pork shoulder is another dish to get. Nicely seasoned with sticky rice. Their version of pad thai is uniquely different than Thai. A bit more sweet but the lime makes it better. Wife wanted to try bua loy dessert. It is a warm sweet dessert that balanced out all the salty flavors of the dishes. Something to try as well. Flavor are still the same. The dishes we order were too much for 2 of us. My only complaint was the restaurant smelled like smoke when we walked in. Not the kind where there was a fire in the kitchen but more like someone smoking in the kitchen?
