    Crispy Duck
    Jeff G.

Had dinner here on NYE before going out to a local bar for the ball drop. 5 stars for the food, the Crispy Duck was absolutely terrific. 1 star for the service...cold, unfriendly, and rushing us the entire time. Server was eating dinner and came over to our table while still chewing her last bite. Place was very slow other than one other table. They close at 10pm, we sat down at 8:30pm. It became apparent very quickly that they wanted to get us out of there and close down. Forgot one of our salads, when I pointed it out she said "ok" and walked away lol. Rushing us the entire time, telling us last call on drinks at 9:10pm, then just dropping the check without me asking for it while we are still eating. It felt extremely rude and not the way we had hoped to spend NYE. At least the food was good, even though I ate faster than I would've liked!

This was such a great little afternoon lunch. The doorway is a bit narrow, so don't bring a stroller or anything large like that because it won't fit through but the staff was so nice trying to get it in. The staff was so prepared and had kid utensils and kid Size stuff for the children I had with me to eat. Service was really quick and delicious. I will say the food was a bit pricey for the area in my opinion and parking could be difficult, but otherwise it's a delicious spot.

Lucky Thai is a great spot for solid Thai favorites! My family and I came in to celebrate my sister's birthday and were pleasantly surprised by this local restaurant's cozy vibe. I got the Shrimp Drunken Noodles, a spicy noodle dish with large pieces of carrots, onions, and peppers. It was tasty and had a great spice level. The shrimp were a bit overcooked. I would recommend getting chicken if you plan to go. The service was speedy and very accommodating for our bigger group. Recommend visiting if you are in the area!

Chicken pad Thai lunch special with potstickers

Stopped in for a quick lunch and decided to try the chicken pad Thai with potstickers lunch special. The pad Thai was so salty and strange, it was as though the chef just poured fish sauce onto it at the very end (there was literally liquid under my noodles). I ate as much as I could but it wasn't very enjoyable. It also didn't have that slightly sweet component that pad Thai sometimes does. The two potstickers that came with my lunch special were good though. The only saving grace in my meal. Sadly, I won't be back.

This place is amazing! Walking in, it's clean and organized and the team is quick to say hello with a smile and get you seated. We went on a Thursday evening around 6 so it wasn't too crowded. We ordered an appetizer of spring rolls (comes with 3) and I got the drunken noodles and my partner got the pineapple fried rice. The food was quick to come out, spring rolls first, and then entrees shortly after app was finished. The drunken noodles could have been a tad spicier, so if you like spice ask for some extra spice on the side. The pineapple fried rice was good too. Sweet and savory. Portion sizes are decent for the price too. Definitely going back and trying the curry next!

I'm always on a search to eat Thai food and when I learned about Lucky Thai I had to check it out. We ordered the Pad See Ew with Tofu, Pad Him-Ma-Pan with Tofu and the Panang Curry with Tofu. All the dishes tasted great with my favorite being the pad see ew. The restaurant was pretty empty the day we went and it's definitely a more casual/takeout type restaurant as many people were walking in and getting their orders. The food came out relatively quickly and everyone was so nice! We had a lot of leftovers for the next day and after the flavors set in it tasted even better!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and sat at a table outside. Service was very quick, got the pad see ew with tofu. The noodles were perfect! Tofu was a little tough but the dish was still great tasting. Portion size was generous, split it between two people for a light lunch

Lucky Thai seems to be a Falls Church favorite - we came here for an earlier dinner and ordered: +Duck Rolls - rotie wrappers filled with duck, spring onions, and cucumbers, served with their house hoisin-like sauce; the duck was described on the menu as being 'crispy roasted duck', but it was not crispy at all; the app just seemed to have been served cold, and it was just super chewy +Panang Curry - we opted for the tofu; the curry itself was thick and creamy, which was great; however, it was super bland and tons of crushed peanuts throughout; the fried cubed tofu was generous +Drunken Noodles - we opted for the chicken; the noodles were just way too mushy, and there wasn't not much of that stir-fried taste nor not enough sauce that dressed this dish; this was just bland +Pad Thai - we opted for the shrimp; this was more on the wetter end with the sauce, but it was a bit too vinegar-y and overly sweet at the same time; the noodles could have been cooked less +Thai iced tea - this was tasty and strong Service was very friendly, and the place itself is cute and cozy. There's also some patio seating in the front as well. Free parking in the back; just note that the spaces are marked with the number range of the businesses. I'm glad we were able to check this place out, but most likely wouldn't return. +mediocre Thai items +friendly service +free parking in the rear

The food is always fresh, flavorful and imaginative. I am amazed at the distinct flavor blends and quality of the food and service. Rattiya, the owner, makes coming here from Fairfax worth the drive every time. Each visit is an intimate experience. Excited for my next culinary adventure!

Has been a very good reliable and quality local Thai place. Was just in for dinner last night(forgot to take a good pic) and spoke to the chefs wife on the way out. She was so sweet and explained they dont even advertise. Its word of mouth entirely. Will always come back for more Lucky Thai, especially the Pad See Ew!!

Really good food. This place was a staple for me when i lived in the area, and i had the chance to try it again recently. The food never disappoints. I tried the lemongrass tea refresher and really liked it! It's a local fav of mine.

Local favorite along West Broad street located within a strip mall. With plenty of parking behind the restaurant and seating options for indoor and outdoor. The dishes are delicious with a perfect mixture of spices. At times, a little spicy even for a 3 chili pepper on their scale of spiciness...but still tasty! Even though we order takeout this time, the service is always friendly and quick with a smile. This place is a must visit and bookmarked for us. Enjoy!

If you are looking for a spot that actually functions as a community hub rather than just a place…read moreto grab a caffeine fix, Northside Social in Falls Church is the standard. It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

Though it was tasty, it didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped.  We ordered it medium spicy as we were warned not to have the spice overwhelm the taste of the broth (we like spicy so it wasn't a matter of degree of heat.)  We brought some home as leftovers so we will see if it has a little more oomph after resting for a day.  The service was good and quick and we appreciated that extra utensils, napkins and to go containers were really easily accessible.  The lot is small when compared to the number of tables inside.  But, as the sign on the door states, you can park at the church across the street.

On a mid-Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about ¾ full. We started out with the Wonton Soup and the Spicy Wonton soup. The Wonton soup is just okay, but the Spicy Wonton Soup is wonderful and highly recommended. For another appetizer, we ordered the Scallion Pancake. It has a nice dense texture and I really liked it. It would've been even better if it came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the pickled cabbage. It was good, though lacking seasoning. Our first entrée was ground pork in a delicious sauce accompanied by sprouts and thinly sliced cucumber (or was that zucchini?). Recommended! Our second entrée was a Pan Fried Beef Bun. The beef was flavorful but the bread was kinda dry. Our last entrée was the Beef Wraps. These were great! Who woulda thunk that beef and fresh carrots would go together so well?! Oh, the chili sauce in a jar on the table is extra tasty. At the end, before we got our check, we were given a plate with sliced cucumbers in a light tasty sesame chili sauce. Excellent! But the hot tea was an epic fail. It had no flavor whatsoever. Peeking inside the teapot, all I could see was a micro tiny tea bag floating or sort of sinking. One other thing I kinda don't want to bring up in light of the great food we enjoyed, but need to in the spirit of full disclosure, is to mention that A&J shares space in the building with several other businesses. The restrooms are common to all the businesses. A&J needs to lean hard on the property owner/manager to do a deep cleaning in those restrooms. I'll leave it at that.

Our server seemed a bit impatient and abrupt when taking our order (we asked how many spring rolls come in each order, and added beef meatballs to one of our pho orders), but we were mainly there for the food. The space itself is roomy, casual and comfortable, with tables spaced and seated far enough apart to not feel crowded. We started with the pork and taro spring rolls, which came out hot, cut in half, and impressively crispy! (Just as a heads up so you don't get scolded like we did - the pork and taro spring rolls come with two per order, and the price for both is a great deal compared to most pho establishments!) For our mains, we ordered three pho bowls and one dry noodle dish. The pho arrived warm, and adding bean sprouts cooled it down further rather than cooking them through. The dry noodle dish, on the other hand, was excellent in flavor, though also not very hot - likely due to the fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber) mixed in. Overall, a solid, filling meal, even if the service and the temperature of the food could be improved. Likely will be back (again, for the food), and will be better prepared (with no questions) for the less-than-stellar service next time.

We ordered the combo pho, the duck cotnfiet with egg noodles, the kids pho, and cha gio. Never had such a bland cha gio in my life where all it had was pork and taro?
