Latest loves: lunch special green curry is very tasty. Creamy coconut and tender chicken. Standout, though, is the Pad Thai. Excellent version of the national dish. Not dry and not sweet. Generous portion. Som tum papaya salad well balanced and great value. Loved their catfish curry. Fried catfish portions in a creamy red coconut curry sauce. Very generous portion. Reminds me of a similar dish Thai Pilin used to do.

Great food Great service Very low prices We love this family run restaurant. They have a special lunch menu but you can specify what you prefer. Highly recommended!

Food: homestyle Thai and Thai-adjacent good. Based on the style of the food, presentation, and overall, I honestly imagine the restaurant is run by a family cooking for family. Our youngest daughter loves the three flavored chicken, which might be compared to a sesame chicken dish. Personally, I love the drunken noodles. The presentation varies a little each time (with veggies changing based on what they have on hand, I expect), but the taste is consistently very enjoyable. And everyone loves the spring rolls. Ambience: again, a quiet, little family run spot. Service: at the risk of being repetitive, again, the service of a little family run spot. Friendly, attentive, but busy and sometimes a little stretched. Everyone wears a few different hats. (Which has never been an issue - timing or otherwise - for us.) Review is for dine-in, but we've always observed a healthy amount of take-out traffic. And the staff seemed to recognize some of persons grabbing take-out, suggesting repeat clientele. Good sign. (P.S. Have only had take-out once. Very tasty but the drunken noodles stuck together. I think that's partially on me - given the nature of the noodles and trapped heat in transit, I should've seen that coming.)

steamed dumpling appetizer, so good!

My sister and I were regulars at Thai Pilin in Vienna and were so bummed when they closed, that they were able to open a new restaurant was the best news we could ever receive!!! I'm not sure why other reviews are so low, the portions and prices are great, and the food is even better. The ga pow here is unlike any I've ever had at other Thai restaurants in the area. It's authentic and feels so homemade, like eating your mother's cooking for the first time in years. I've been back several times since they opened and will continue to return as long as I'm able! They also have a great lunch special deal throughout the week! Dishes to try: chicken ga pow, tom kha soup, tom yum soup, steamed dumplings, three flavored chicken, and ma kea throng to name a few. I've never been disappointed by anything here!

WOW! Before COVID, my family and I had been regulars at Thai Pailin in Tysons Corner. When we heard it closed after us having been going there for 10+ years we were devastated as i'm sure a lot of their client base was too. And then a few months ago the same family that owned and operated Thai Pailin was able to open a new spot and my God does it not disappoint! Amazing food, friendly efficient service, nice light/clean atmosphere, and a killer lunch special that extends to Saturdays too! We got the classic gra pow and the new ma kea throng krueng which was literally so freaking good, i'm still craving it. Finally, mango and sticky rice to end it on a high note. So excited to be back in town so i can go again!

Pad Thai, pad see ew, and garlic pepper chicken.

Small, no-frills place with a counter and a few booths/tables. The food is good and so are the prices.

Good food! Both takeout and eat in. Lunch specials are worth a visit too. The parking lot can get intense in evenings and on weekends.

I had Pad Pra Pow with Chicken. It was so tasty and fresh. Very authentic Thai and the Family that owns it was very pleasant also.

We do carry out from this place at least once a month. The three flavored chicken is the best!

This place was awesome. I saw it recommended on Reddit so we ordered delivery on a Friday night…read more Delivery was only $2 (+tip) and they don't upcharge the prices because they don't go through a delivery service. The only downside is you can't see the delivery progress but I felt like a kid again where you had no idea when the food would show up and you'd just sit there watching the window (it took an hour at peak Friday night). The pad Thai was delicious, not super sweet like some places make it. The crispy squid basil was also excellent, and they cut a couple small holes in the container so it was still crispy when it got to us. The prices were very reasonable as well. I think we found our new Thai place in Arlington!

I went here today for a small dinner and it did not disappoint…read more I took the time to read their reviews before going and noticed other yelpers commenting about lack of decorations and customer service. I'll be honest, I also felt at first that our server wasn't friendly. The food completely made up for her lack of customer service. We ordered the catfish as well as the boat noodle soup. Both had the most amazing flavor and did not take long to come out. I also noticed that once we engaged our waitress in more questions and conversation, that she is just a more reserved person and not unfriendly. The decor inside wasn't anything outstanding but I truly didn't care with how amazing the food was. This was the best boat noodle soup in northern va that I have tried.

Took an extended walk a few weeks ago to check this place out before getting groceries, as it's…read moresupposedly some of the best Thai in South Arlington and had to verify that. Was seated by a delightful young lady, and found the decor and layout to be quite pleasing; modest by elegant. As for the fare, it was indeed quite worth the walk. Ordered a bowl of Tom Yum and the Pad Thai Mun Goong. The Tom Yum was solid and quite flavorful, a flux of tangy lemongrass with the oniony sweetness of steeped scallions, and enoki mushrooms to provide some heartiness. The Pad Thai Mun Goong was a chef specialty pad Thai made with stir fried rice noodle, prawns shrimp tomalley oil (a crucial element for this version), egg and bean sprouts, naturally topped with green onions, peanuts and a lime for squeezing, and this also was quite phenomenal. Savory, sweet, a little tingle of sourness from the citrus in the mid-palate, and the juicy, briny shrimp balancing the dense carbs and rich flavorful sauce. All-in-all, I was well pleased this visit. As this is Padaek's second location, I hope they don't expand too much further/quickly and compromise on quality.

Absolutely delicious! Was looking for a restaurant for Friday evening and stumbled upon Padaek…read more Made a reservation for 8:15pm. We walked in and the restaurant was lively. They had a band and singers and folks were up dancing. We found out this is an annual thing and not something regular. We didn't realized they closed at 9pm so felt a little rushed. My friend and I shared the Pad See Ew with beef and the Pla Makham. Both dishes were so good and packed with flavor. We saw some good looking dishes being delivered to other tables and can't wait to return to try them.

I wasn't too hungry when coming in for a late lunch so I didn't get big plates. But I can 100% vouch for everything I ate. The Tom Kha was some of the best I have ever had! A slightly mild soup with chicken and coconut flavors (yummmm). I also ordered the mussels (I did not expect them to come in a broth since the menu says they are steamed) but they were surprisingly spicy and delicious. It came with some housemade chili sauce that was even spicier! There were like 7 mussels. Even though it was so spicy, the flavors were delicious so I bared through the spicy sauce. I ordered jasmine tea and it came as a packet of the jasmine tea with hot water. I would've loved it to be brewed loose leaf but that's ok. Overall, this place was delicious, and it was so cute! The decor inside doesn't give "Thai" but it's absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. There is a lot of seating as well and a whole parking lot.

I wouldn't say the inside gives off a Thai restaurant, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For starters, we ordered the duck wrap and the papaya salad. The duck wrap was interesting, but not sure if it was in the good way. The wrap tasted buttery, which was a little different than what I have had before, and the duck didn't really taste like duck and there wasn't much of it. The papaya salad was fine, but not the best I have had. It was a little bit spicy. For the main dish, I ordered the hang-over noodle (Khee Mao), which was I think their version of drunken noodles. I thought it was good, but it was definitely too spicy for my liking but that is my bad for not asking for a lower spice level. The noodles had a nice texture. I wouldn't say this is the best Thai place in NOVA, but I thought it was alright.
