The pizza was very good overall! One of the pizzas was a tad burnt on the bottom, but that's pretty common with brick oven pizza and didn't take away from the flavor. I ordered the meat lovers, and it was delicious--the toppings were generous, and the crust had a great texture. We were bummed to learn that this is no longer Mountain Pizza and Taproom. Sadly, the food didn't live up to expectations. The pizza was very greasy and too salty for our taste. The highlight of the meal was actually the fries that came with the wings, which isn't saying much. Overall, it wasn't the best experience, and we wouldn't go back. We had an interesting experience at Mountain Pizza. We we in no hurry and we were deciding what we wanted to order when a dude came up and told us to order with the Russian gentleman at the counter. No problem, except the Russian gentleman told us to use the Kiosk to place our order and pay (which we did and he helped us). His English was not so good but I was interested in having him repeat himself so I could understand the problem. The guy behind the counter could have explained you have to place you order at a kiosk but offered no help. If you want a beer or wine, you pour your own at the taproom area. We used to go here because we thought it was the only pizza in town. But we found another place we like better. It's ok. The service is usually not great. They never plan for spring break and get annoyed at the customers giving them tourism revenue. It doesn't make sense. This is an example of a small town tourist restaurant that is grasping defeat out of the jaws of victory. It has the location, the seating, the signage, the facility, and the marketing. With very little effort, they could turn the entire experience around for the customer. Filthy, service personnel, just a complete turn off. Not a single employee looks like they wanted to be there. The entire place reflected that. If you are working at the front register, you have to act like you care about at least something, maybe even the customer.
