Next door is the specialty wine business. I was warmly greeted by the friendly staffer, who explained some of the bikes they had for sale. It's a little spartan inside, so don't expect a lavish interior. Nevertheless they have a good assortment of inexpensive ebikes for sale. Almost all of them are the motor in the hub design. A young gentlemen at the door told me that jakes closed for the day. I let him know we had made an arrangement, he closed the door, then came back outside to sell me Jake isn't available. I then texted Jake because perhaps there was a miscommunication and he replied back dismaying his availability. "Not available, what about tomorrow or the day after" He didn't respond back after I told him I drove from Tracy to meet this appointment. I didn't even need him to service my bike right away lol I could have left it there as planned but he chose not come outside. I drove 45mins for nothing. This is unprofessional. I would have tipped him very well because his quoted price was less than the bike shops and the only reason I chose him because local bike shops quoted me a 4 week wait minimum and he estimated a week if I recall correctly. Business integrity is important. Had he apologized via text about his unavailability I would have come back the next day or another mutually convenient time.

Eventually this guy did charge for un-expected break fluid and then he asked me to pay extra for the bar tape. After one week, he did not follow up with my call and text because I paid extra $20 for the bar tape. After one month, I reached out to him again and he's somehow still lost. He is such a lazy and unresponsive owner. I am seriously upset with this situation and the owner's irresponsibility. I've already reached out to Venmo to make sure that he spends his time for my $20. It sounds silly but I really want him to pay for every single penny that he owes me.
