May 10, 2026…read more I wanted to let you know that I was interested in buying a new bike and establishing a relationship with a local bike shop here in Pleasanton. I went to your shop in January and had a very lengthy and friendly conversation with one of your mechanics. I explained to him that I had just had a very extensive bike fit and was hoping to buy a bike according to the information in the very detailed fit which took my body geometry into account. He said it should not be a problem and while I was there, I emailed him the report with all the specifications. He said he looked at it and thought the Specialized Roubaix would be a good fit, but it was not currently available in the color I wanted. He said I would be notified as soon as it was available. I didn't hear anything so decided to stop by the shop in March and was told it still wasn't available. I stopped by again (I was never called) on April 16 and was told it was available, and it could be ordered that day. I again reminded him about all the measurements, and he said no problem. I paid in full that day. I also re-sent the measurements. I was notified April 22 that it was ready and made an appt.to pick it up April 23. When I arrived, I found out that it wasn't ready (battery was defective on the shifter) and I would be notified again when the new battery arrived. On April 28 got another text notification that the bike was now ready. I went to pick it up April 29 (after reminding the mechanic that the tires were supposed to be tubeless) and when I got there, the tires were not set up as tubeless. I tried to get on the bike, but it was very uncomfortable and not at all adjusted to the measurements I had provided more than once. Also, I had asked for SPD pedals in purple but was told that they didn't exist. (The pedals on the bike did not work with my shoes). When I asked if the specific measurements were considered, I was informed first by the original mechanic and then by a second one, that they are not bike fitters and essentially, they are just mechanics and couldn't really help me. When I had made the appt to pick up the bike, I was told someone named Dean would be putting the bike together as he has an expertise in fitting. When I asked if this had happened, they both looked at me as if I was asking for a special favor. They said no, Dean (or whatever his name is) did it not put it together as they had not made that arrangement. The situation was starting to take on an adversarial vibe and it became clear to me that the previous discussions I had about the measurements were completely ignored. They both then accused me of asking for something that didn't exists and that no bike store would be able to provide what I wanted. They offered to let me return the bike, but I would have to pay for the labor it took to assemble. I left feeling very frustrated but still wanted to try and make it work. On the way home I stopped at Mike's Bikes, and they had the exact pedals wanted. I bought them there thinking I would go back to Superfly and drop them off so they could be installed. But the more I thought about it; I realized that I did not want to have this adversarial relationship and called the shop to take them up on the offer of returning the bike. It cost my over $350 but I realized it was worth it. I should have seen the red flags, the first being there were hardly any road bikes in your shop. I wish that when I first went in, the mechanic had been honest with me and said that they are basically a mountain and electric bike shop and could not provide the skill needed to set me up with a bike that would be comfortable for me. I am sure both of these men are good mechanics, but their customer service and honesty is lacking. I feel like dodged a bullet (albeit an expensive one) but it was worth it to me to not have to deal with unpleasant and dishonest people. Went to here a few times in the past when I still lived in San Ramon, California. This place is…read moresupposed to be like a Dick's Sporting Goods but with more variety of sports equipment and other related products. As well as better quality since it's like a private owned business and not a public one. The service overall was good at this place as the employees were helpful with guiding us to find stuff we were looking for. As well as helping my brother find a new bike for him to ride after his old one fell apart. When it comes to value that is where the problems set in as to why I am giving this place a 4/5. Lot of the stuff in this store is expensive and I do mean EXPENSIVE. It could be close to like 120 dollars for a pair of shoes which seems to be way more than most other retailers. And most of the other equipment could range up to 200-300 dollars as well which can make it frustrating to figure out what to spend your money on depending on the need. At least the store has plenty of equipment to choose from, as well as a range for you test stuff out and other useful features for equipment you want to rent. But I would only go here as a last resort if you can't go to a Dick's or find good pricing.

Jon did an excellent job and I was very happy to be able to take my bike on long rides, as the original factory seat was way too uncomfortable. Today, I went for some help getting a newly purchased rack mounted because I had no clue how to do it and was stressed out about it. Garrett showed me how to secure the rack, use the pin lock, mount the bike and properly strap it. He made the whole thing seem so easy and was very patient with me. The guys at this shop are very professional and really know what they're doing. Better yet, they seem passionate about cycling and helping others enjoy the sport. I definitely recommend them.

Go to any other bike store like trek or Mikes bikes if you buy a bike. Other bike stores don't charge that fee(I called and asked) and the workers at these other stores actually care to please their customers. The staff is always friendly and even if you get lost by accident or on purpose through the aisles the employees are always willing to help you! Shout out to Corinda for the help with backpacks and about REI membership! Now price points are from midrange to high, however all of the items are well built and are meant to last. I hadn't called ahead but for a simple tire and tune replacement it was an easy visit. It was a tad busy on a Saturday afternoon but everyone was taken care of promptly. As a walk-in I didn't expect same day service and was prepared to leave my bike for the day, but I got lucky. They offered free water bottle in the mini fridge while I waited for my bicycle to be serviced. The bathroom was clean. There's plenty of inventory of various bikes and accessories. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Parking lot is a good size. I'll be back!

He walked me through the Trek Checkpoint's features, took time to answer all my (many) questions, and made the buying process simple and pressure-free. What sealed the deal was that Mike worked with me on price and made sure the Checkpoint was the best fit for my riding style, needs, and budget - he personally helped to adjust the gears, added fresh sealant, and swap the saddle and pedals to my own personal set! I've also stopped by a few times after my purchase to pick up a few things every now and then and each visit I have, I'm met with so much kindness and support from all of the Trek Livermore staff! I was missing exactly one screw for my SPD pedals, and when I asked one of the busy mechanics, they dropped everything and found a replacement screw for free! After 15 years of buying bikes, this is easily one of the best shop experiences I've had. Highly recommend!

They hadn't tightened the bolt that holds the back tire. Side note: my son is 11 years old and 78 pounds wet! When I called and spoke to the owner, he was not only apathetic, but unapologetic. I will NEVER bring my business here again. I should've headed friends' warnings and gone to the place in Alamo. BUYER BEWARE!
