Upon arrival, Thomas suggested I give the bike a test ride around the block which I enthusiastically did after he sized me to the bike. The test ride was key to lock down the sale which I could not have done at other Trek dealers. Besides Thomas, the guys is the back were great and did a few adjustments to prepare the bike for it's new home. The store also has plenty of accessories. First, I have owned 4 Trek bikes and purchased one from this store. My disappointment is with a tune of my road bike where the service person swapped my cassette from 11x34 to a 11x30 for no reason. I called the store and the store employee said this was impossible and I couldn't prove it and offered me a $20 coupon so I could buy a new 11-34 cassette, which is ridiculous. I am not going back to this store unless they put an equivalent 11-34 cassette back on my bike without any charges and they can have the other 11-30 cassette back. read more

I liked this shop. The people were nice. Prices reasonable. Bought a bike for my son from here and they helped adjust the derailleur a couple of times as it wasn't shifting great. They redid the handlebar tape on my wife's bike and trimmed the steer tube. They also rewired my brake lines and on my main bike as I wanted to lower my handlebars. This service was great. They allowed me to schedule it in advance and were able to complete it the same day I brought it in. I ride my bike almost every day so being able to schedule service is important so I have the least amount time without it. I recently crashed and damaged my left shifter and bought a replacement for it and just called to schedule service and was refused. They said it's corporate policy that I simply have to bring the bike in, put it in their queue, and they will get to it when they get to it. They told me they are currently 36 hours backed up. So ... just to clarify ... I said I need to bring me bike in and have it sit in your store for 36 hours before you will begin working on it? Yep, that's their policy. So now I will find a new bike shop that doesn't feel the need of storing my bike for an indeterminate amount of time before working on it. What a dumb policy. read more

This bike shop is next to a ballet studio my daughter and her friend belong to. On the way from Fremont to Dublin to take them there for their classes today, her friend let me know she forgot her water bottle. After we arrived, I wandered in the bike shop hoping to get something to drink for the girl since the class will last for hours. The guy working there heard what I needed, went to the back and got me a bottle of refrigerated water for me. He wouldn't charge me for it. I was beyond thankful. I have no need for bikes or bike gears at the moment. But they will be the first to come to mind if I ever do. The wife and I recently quit the gym for the 16th time. But this time it might be for good due to this thing going around. So, we needed something to maintain our 25 year old bodies (I kid). I already have a pretty sweet Canondale road bike, and the wife wanted something too. This place used to be Livermore Cyclery, but as it was told to me, the owners were going to close up shop but Trek did not want to lose its market share. So Trek turned it into a company store. There was a short line outside the door as they were only letting a couple peeps inside. We were helped by David and walked in and the place was pretty wiped out of bikes. I've read stories of how how it was to get a decent bike during the pandemic. And here was the proof. Shockingly though, David had a Domane aluminum for about $1,000. Last one too. Of course, he did his salesman thing about how it was the last one and everyone wanted it. But hey, it was all true. The wife took a quick test ride and was sold. I even jumped on it to check it out. Wasn't too crazy about the boring plain black frame, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. David rang us up and offered to get the seat adjusted. Phones were ringing off the hook and I overheard him say that he just sold it. People were calling for the very bike we had just bought. Great timing I guess. Now, if bike manufacturers can just ramp up production, they'd make a killing I think. Maybe call first before heading down here. Unless you want a $5,000 bike. They got plenty of those. This Trek store was our first stop in search for a bike for my husband. We were planning to stop by a few in the area to see what options there are inside the store since I heard most bike stores and online are out of stock now due to SIP and quarantine. We thought it was still called "Livermore Cyclery" here but learned that Trek bought the store out. So there is no more Livermore Cyclery here in Dublin nor Livermore. We came here to look for a bike. The sales guy told us they had one in store inside size L mtn bike so we went in to take a look. He didn't ask about our budget. So he showed us a nice bike that was about $3000+ and it wasn't within our price range. While inside, I then noticed another mountain bike right besides the $3k one he showed us and I asked if it was available. It actually was, and was the right size we need and it was at a very affordable price for $399. We just wanted something basic. Of course the dude was trying to sell us the more $$$ bike...till I discovered other options inside on my own. We took the affordable bike out for a quick test run. Sales dude asked to get my hubby's drivers license before he could take the bike out...um, I guess he didn't trust us? We had the whole family there together, did he really think we gonna ride away that bike?! Either way, another sales guy ended up helping us out 'cos the first one had to go take his break. Well, I am glad because David was a very honest guy, telling us the big differences btw the 2 bikes. Educated us with the details. He was very knowledgeable with his products and gave us his honest opinion. He wasn't just trying to up sell us at all and showed us trust. Well, we ended up buying the bike. Good price, right size, and good customer service from David. So I recommend, if u see a bike in the store that seems to fit you, hurry up and buy it before its gone. Bikes seems to be selling like HOT tamales!? Bike shops are doing SO well these days due to COVID. The stores carried limited number of bikes that are available but they will randomly get shipments. Most bikes inside are road bikes and many are $3000+. And if u want to order, it would take months before u can even get ur bike, they said maybe in December 2020, if so. Overall, we love our new Trek bike. And what's important is that we got better customer service from David who was very friendly and casual, just like a friend, so we had a great experience. He wasn't pushy at all. We will be back here again to shop for more stuff. Highly recommend this place. Just look for an asian man named David. P.S. Got a new seat for my trek bike and we picked up a seat and requested them to replace the old seat with the new one. The associate did the work and then during billing added charges for labor but didn't mention anything about this during the whole transaction was surprised to see it. Took one look at an electric bike and said he couldn't work on it because it wasn't something he knew. Told him is works as a regular bike, just needed brakes fixed. Said he felt "uncomfortable since it wasn't a usual electric bike" he knew. Took it over to Danville's Treks everytime and they tune it up for me. The one time I try a different location the service manager was atrocious. Try Danville instead. Much better staff imo. More knowledge and more accommodating for all bikes. read more

I had an old bike tuned up recently. It wasn't a Trek bike but they do service any bike. I was quoted for additional fees for "flushing of the shifters" so, according to them, will remove the grime buildup & make shifting smoother. I fell for the sales talk. When I got the bike back, it was still shifting the same noisy way. I think my bike is just old (2002) with older components, that's why I'm not faulting them too much. I'm not giving them a 1-star (or a 2-star for that matter) because their customer service was actually really good. They were presentable, always smiling & upbeat, and they even called me up when the bike was done a few days ahead of schedule. read more

I had many great experiences at this Trek store. Joe is exceptionally knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He knows Trek models, differences, usages, and components well, including all E-bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, and city bikes. He offers applicable and relevant facts without sales pitch or pressure. Another younger gentleman, Abraham, is friendly and personable. He interacted with my young son really well like a friend. He is eager to help with servicing my bike. This time I bought a Trek Dual Sport for my teenage daughter, a fantastic great all-around bike for both paved roads and trails. At pick up, Joe made adjustments to ensure it's perfect for my daughter. I'm happy with the service and the selections offered by Trek. They'll be my favorite bike store to learn, research, get services, and make additional purchases. read more

Dropped my Trek Project 1 off at Trek, Dublin on July 23, 2020 to have a new cassette, chain and 'possibly bottom bracket. Turned out I didn't need a bottom bracket but I did nee a new rear wheel - that was expected. Got the bike back on August 15, 2020. Between receipt and yesterday, September 15 no one was riding due to the wildfire smoke inundating the area. OK - here's what I got back: 1) a badly damaged frame (huge chunk of paint chipped off one of the seat stays) and I'm not sure about the condition of the carbon. 2) The shop did not verify and make minor adjustments to the shifting accuracy. When I had the bike on the stand for a pre-ride check I found these oversights. 3) Lastly (maybe) the brake pads were 'crooked' and not contacting the rims correctly. read more

Considering this shop opened in the middle of the pandemic and SIP orders, they are really doing a great job trying to keep up with the increased demand and service. The shop is carefully following strict safety protocol as mandated by health officials. It's really trying to maintain "normal" business as usual because of all this. In spite of all this, the shop has been very responsive and accommodating for us. My boyfriend and I went on a bike hunt yesterday to find the last few treks available in the area. It's been really hard to find women bikes in a small or medium because of the bike boom that's happening right now. After leaving Danville Trek, we figured we would get the same exceptional customer service that we got at this trek location, NOPE! First off, I called before I got there and they said they had at least 3 in stock for the one I wanted and when I got there, which was 20 min or less it was down to 1! I mean yes, they could've sold 2 in the last 20 min, but when we got there we were the only ones in the parking lot! We get in, the guy that was helping us was actually full of information, but his manager whoever that was sucks! At Danville Trek, they had us do test rides and even give us loaner helmets so we can get a feel of the bike, at Dublin, the manager said we couldn't test ride at all!!! Excuse me, but I'm not buying an expensive bike without trying it, I mean it's absurd. I was torn because it was the only size that was a good fit for me and when I asked if I could put it on hold with a down payment, they refused, again unlike the Danville location where my bf had put money down towards his bike so he can pick it up another time. So here I was trying to decide whether or not I wanted to buy it without trying it, but I had called another store and they said they had a bike in my size, so reluctantly, I said ok if I don't see another one in my size then I'll come back after going to this other store. So we drive to the other location which was about 20 min away, oh and yeah this place was letting it's customers test ride unlike Dublin. Then after test riding, I decided the size in Dublin would be better, so I call them and guess what, they were selling the bike as I was talking to the person on the other line. Great! But you know what, it wasn't meant to be, my bf found a place in SF called Valencia Cyclery and they had the bike I wanted in the color that I was looking for, so all in all, it worked out for me, but if you're looking to test ride or have a nice experience at this place, you better just take your business elsewhere like the one in Danville. Also the bike they were trying to sell us in Dublin had different bike pedals that were cheaper than the ones it should've came with so they were trying to sell us a bike that didn't have original parts and come to find out the one they were selling me was a men's!! Sneaky, but again, wasn't meant to be and it still worked out in the end. Bad manager with good people working under him/her, what a shame. read more

Was skeptical of going into a high end bike shop, especially, after reading some of the negative reviews. Maybe under new management because Mike, who helped me over the past few weeks, was very helpful and friendly. I was in the market for a Madone SL6. On the Trek website, I noticed they had my size in stock. So, I went down there to check it out in person. Unfortunately, they couldn't sell it because they are waiting on a part to come in. Mike still let me sit on it and get a feel for it to see if it was the right size for me. A couple weeks pass, and I call to see if they got the part in. No dice, but I could preorder one, and it will come in July. I did have to actually come in and order it though, which I understand, and I was only 5 minutes away.
