I was very busy and had no time to eat. Really wanted a donut. I was surprised to go in and see no case to chose from. They mage then to order. Okay. I got two. One with powdered sugar. One with streusel and powdered sugar. First off they're way too hot to just eat out of the box. When I tried it practically melted and fell apart and into the box. After waiting for it to cool long enough to eat, the toppings were either soaked into all the oil or the slathering of frosting. The combination of heat, too sweet, and oil made my stomach hurt. I had donuts delivered today for my birthday. I never had donuts from duck donuts. They were warm and extremely fresh very good.

Went I. To get donuts. At the counter they said it would be a 30 min wait. Only 2 people inside so I'm assuming they are catering to online orders before customers inside. We waited as several other people received their in store orders before us. I finally after 25 min asked why ours wasn't ready. One employee said I called " 2 dozen bears" . Ok? I was inside the whole tine. That was our order but I am not an employee and do not know what 2 dozen bears mean. I ordered several donuts and 6 PLAIN donuts. Never did I or would I correlate those 2. We were the only table sitting waiting inside for donuts at the time. Would you not as an employee maybe come ask us if they were ours. And how about a name at order because I do know that! No confusion! The one male employee apologized and understood that a customer would not know what "bare" meant and that I did not order 2 dozen " bare". The other female employees were rather rude about it. A sign in the store, prominently displayed, promoted a weekday special of half dozen cinnamon donuts for $7. We had specifically come to the store for this deal. Employee told us that management had ended the deal. When I pointed out the sign, she offered no apology and walked over and removed the sign. It is unacceptable that the store 1. would not honor an advertised deal and 2. cared so little for customer satisfaction to refuse it to us with no apology. read more

This place is amazing! The donuts have a crispy outside with a soft inside and they were still warm when we ate one in the car They dip them in the toppings as we ordered. We have never experienced something quite like this place. I am a little sad that they didn't have any bars or cream type Donuts but still amazing. read more

I've been to Duck Donuts several times in the East. So great to see them here in CO! They are delish!! My review here is only about this particular Ducks Donuts....Friendly staff, but seemed short staffed, making for a longer wait. The only other reason i didn't give 5 stars is for sanitation reasons...we had a hair on one of our donuts, which we weren't surprised to see because the gentleman making our donut box had a long beard, and long hair, neither of which were covered in any way. Also, while we were there, a delivery truck came, and the employee signed for the package with her gloved finger, and then continued making donuts. It's disturbing when OSHA sanitation guidelines are not practiced at a food establishment. Gloves need to be changed before ANY food contact, and during if necessary, as well as hair being covered, or tied back to avoid falling into food. Otherwise, we LOVED the donuts!! read more

We are fans! I'm an old fashioned donut fan I feel they have the perfect donut texture - and with the various toppings adds that fun twist to a classic. I usually savor one donut when I go there as the flavors are rich and plentiful; whereas grocery store bakery raised donuts I enjoy two. I'm not usually a fan of sprinkles and frosting, but each bite seems to be perfectly measured. Great donuts to go alongside a hot tea or coffee. Got a dozen donuts. All of the donuts were baked fresh and are decorated right there. I usually don't like frosted donuts so I ordered mostly glazed, coffee cake, and the cinnamon sugar, which were delicious. I dislike overly sweet donuts, so these were the perfect texture for me and warm! The only thing I wish I did different was buy more of the frosted donuts! I absolutely love this place. It's so much better than other donut places I've been to. Pros: They have a build your own donut, which is main reason husband I went. So yes I made my own donut and it was exactly how I pictured it. Husband got a chocolate with chocolate sprinkles. The do have a order kiosk that you can use. They also have t-shirts that you can buy. They have the shirts I hanging on the wall along with some mugs and cups to purchase. The donut was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They really know how to make a perfect donut. They do have curbside pickup and online ordering. Cons: Am I supposed to write anything negative? Only negative is you will have sticky fingers. But even that's not a negative. Husband put in his two cents with the kiosk is that they don't have an option for just regular donuts. It's all pre-made or make your own. Recommended? Yes. I threw away $20 worth of donuts. I wanted to eat them so bad because they looked amazing, but if only you saw how they were made. As one employee made my donuts, another employee directly behind her was spinning a DAMP, WET, cleaning cloth around in the air. I literally thought he was making pizza dough. Then oh no, to everyones surprise, he drops the cleaning cloth, on the floor, picks it up and starts cleaning the surfaces with it. I am no scientist, but I believe the centrifugal force of the spinning wet cloth got particles on my donuts and the stores toppings. Nothing "Quacky" about duck donuts. Found this place randomly and thought I would give it a shot. When they say made to order they mean it. It might take a little longer but dang fresh hot donuts with delicious toppings are worth the wait. Friendly staff let other customers know that it might take a while before they ordered since there were quite a few orders going on so it was their choice to wait or not. You can order ahead and I would advise to do so. I was lucky enough to time it right for a dozen donuts but there was a large call ahead order in front of me that was just finishing up. I agree with other reviews that they seem short staffed so I can see someone getting annoyed with having to wait but hey perfection and deliciousness are worth waiting for aren't they. Give them a try and again order ahead if you can! They also have coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I did get a caramel latte with oat milk and it was good. This was a let down. It took an hour to get 4 donuts which is ridiculous. It wasn't that busy inside but they apparently had too many online orders. We ran errands and came back and they had lost our order so they made them fresh...so at least they did that. They were extremely greasy and I couldn't finish one donut. They had several staff members working who were moving slowly and seemed confused by everything. Peace Love and a Little Donuts is down the road. I'll be taking my donut business there.
