Only decent bagel in town. I'm from Philly and I like places that get the chew on the outside part right without it tasting stale. Other places in town are too doughy or taste crusty. Gibs tastes like an east coast bagel. The cream cheese also has a certain richness to it that tastes better than others. I ate half my bagel, left the other part out for a few hours before finishing it. No staling, hadn't hardened. A touch too dense/spongey but nothings perfect. And they have egg bagels! read more

When I lived here many years ago this was the best bagel spot in town, but they've gone downhill dramatically. The bagels are small and dense, and the dough is under-salted. They skimp on butter and cream cheese. They also forgot the lox on my order even though I was the only person in the store - but after seeing how bad the rest of the food was I suspect that I dodged a bullet. A friend that's lived in Fort Collins their entire life and grew up near Gib's took me to this place for the first time and I really enjoyed it. You can feel the deep community roots and the food is fabulous with mostly college students providing front end service, a great way to build people skills and self confidence. Read through some of the reviews. Most people seem angry about something else and take their issues out on the bagels. Not the case. As a guy who was born & bred in NY minutes away from the GWB (and married to a woman from Ft Lee on the NJ side who agrees with this review), the bagels are spot on NY/NJ! We just moved to town, went in and grabbed a dozen so I can't speak to anything else. But this is the best bagel I've had in this state, and frankly, that's all I want from a bagel shop. The staff is very rude and condescending, treats people of color and neurodivergent like we are aliens. A bunch of spoiled entitled college kids with no more abilities than to make bagels. Got incredibly ill once and management did nothing and told me not to come back. The manager Jacob was incredibly rude and unhelpful and the staff laughed at me when I returned. Don't go here if you're having a bad day, they'll make your day even worse. Not to mention the bagels are actually terrible and not NY style at all. Their online ordering system is also messed up and doesn't work properly on their end but will charge you and then the employees won't solve it. They make you pay again. I go here at least a couple of times a month usually for lunch since they've added soups and sandwiches and salads. It gives me a lot more to order from everything is always excellent but my go to is their mother's vegetable chicken soup. It's absolutely delicious. Always the perfect temperature. It comes with focaccia bread and you can always get a salad or a sandwich in addition to that if you'd like and they have a good variety of coffee, drinks, and other drinks as well. Came here on multiple occasions and havnt been disappointed yet. I've had the lox as well as the egg cheese and sauce bagel on a toasted everything bagel. Everything is just made fresh and the quality is like something you would have made at home but tastes better since you didn't make it yourself. Pro: -Nice crunch to the bagel -Good ratio, not lacking meat or toppings. Cons: -Just a tad pricey, but it is delicious and fresh so cant complain too much -They take too long to make the order. Both times I've eaten here (for here and to go) it was the same thing Tips: -If you're with family or friends try to get a sandwich you both like and split half and half so you can get to explore their menu. I walked in and it seemed to me that it was busy, but the line kept moving. The employee at the register (didn't catch a name) was ON it. When the line was gone, she jumped straight into supporting the production line, refilling stuff. I was in and out with my order in probably about 10 minutes with three people ahead of me in line! My favorite bagel is the jalapeño bagel for sure. So tasty, and I love the spicy tingle it adds to whatever you put on it. I've also heard amazing things about the egg bagels, but haven't tried it myself. The employee from the register brought my coffee over while I was sitting at a table waiting for my order today, I thought that was super nice. read more

I hate to do it, but I can truly only give Gib's Bagels three stars. Their bagel quality is "meh", the price point (for what your taste buds receive) is steep, and the service is hit or miss. I got a breakfast sandwich today with sausage, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. It was bland and the sausage could/should have been heated up longer. I cannot say I'll be running back to Gib's anytime soon. If you're looking for a true New York bagel in Colorado, do yourself a favor and visit Rosenberg's Bagels in Denver. The bagels are the most important thing and I'd give theirs a 10/10. They are chewy and soft, big, and they have so many good flavor options. I haven't seen a pretzel bagel anywhere else! I had a honey wheat bagel with extra strawberry cream cheese. (They really loaded it up!) They get quite busy on weekend mornings, so make sure to call ahead, order online, or get there earlier. I'm always surprised though by how quickly they move through the line. Also, they actually have quite a few drink options including things like cold brew (which I got), matcha, chai, and drip coffee. read more

Walked in, no line, placed order. Sat down and waited and saw the people that had walked in before me get their food. Then the high school rush came and I saw them all start to get their drinks and sandwiches, I ordered literally a bagel with cream cheese. After waiting far too long, I asked a girl behind the counter about it (very nicely as I didn't even want to ask in the first place) and was cut off after two words with "it's in the queue", followed by her walking back and rolling her eyes and complaining about me to her coworkers, who were 19 feet away. I was humiliated and almost left without it because I felt stupid for asking. Low and behold they came back a few minutes later and asked my name because THEY LOST MY TICKET. The quality of Gib's has really decreased significantly. I have always tried to stay loyal to a local bagel shop but my last several experiences have been frustrating - bagels and food are sloppily thrown together with skimpy use of cream cheese or topping, coffee weak or burnt, parts of the order are often wrong or missing. And the wait is unreasonably long. I am super disappointed and will be looking for a new place for bagels. read more

I've been coming to Gib's for several years now. Gib's has the best bagels in town, without question! The everything bagel is my favorite! I enjoy the multiple options of cream cheeses and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. The coffee is just OK, and I usually don't like getting it at Gib's. While they have options for light roast, dark roast, and a smooth blend, it never quite taste like the quality that I would expect from a place with bagels this good. The service needs work. I can't say I've ever been impressed by the service I received at Gib's. Sometimes they are mildly friendly, and sometimes it seems as though they just don't care. Maybe it's the early mornings that they have to maintain. In any case, I will continue to get the bagels because they are delicious. read more

I am not sure how there are even bad reviews here. I have been coming here for over 20 years and the bagels are always on point, fresh, and delicious! I've never had a bad bagel here and the service is usually very good. The line can back up and be longer at times but that's because the food is so delicious. My favorite bagel here is the everything bagel but really they're all delicious. Their homemade cream cheese is our wonderful and the atmosphere is cozy and nice. The best deal is to get the Gib's dozen which is actually 13 bagels. There are also have wonderful sandwiches, bagel knots, coffee, tea, as well as juices and soft drinks. This is the original Gib's Bagels and my favorite. All the locations are good but I prefer this location. Parking is ample and there's always tons of variety. If you've never been to a Gib's Bagels, then do yourself a favor and head over. If you've been but haven't in a awhile, go back and eat a tasty bagel. read more
