Awesome pizza!! This is a hidden treasure in Duck. They have great customer service and the pizza is delicious. It's NY style but without the grease. Well, if I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered 1 gluten free pizza, they gave us FOUR. No fluffy crust, cardboard. Half the crust was not covered by sauce/ cheese. We were told 30-35 minutes and it took an hour and 15. Would never recommend to anyone. read more

OBX is not known for its pizza, so our expectations were low when ordering Duck Pizza Co. However there is a clear division between trying and not succeeding, and not trying at all. This business fall under the latter. Think communion wafer as crust, cheese and what seemed to be mostly evaporated sauce covering only the inner third of this extra large cracker. A truly soulless pie. After 10 hours in the car with my family, the worst part of my day was unveiling this "large" cheese pizza that is about 8 inches of actual pizza. read more

Awful and low quality cracker pizza with a side of a burnt to a crisp pizza roll. Felt terrible for the girls working who have been put into a terrible position by who ever owns the place by having to face high volume seasonal customers. Obviously failed ownership and leadership. We had a very large and complicated order, and they got it all right! Everything was delicious, especially the decoy.

Tucked away in the back of Scarborough Faire shopping center, it is a typical pizza delivery location with room for a few tables with decent room. We were the only ones not getting take-out or delivery, but they still had high-chairs for nephew and two people on staff to take care of us. The pizza was decent, just enough toppings and an ok crust. Others liked it more than I, but I've had better although there's nothing that I can say that was bad. read more

Disregard all ratings over a year old. New Management! Went there with group of six after music on the Duck green. Usually go to Waves, but it was closed. Glad we had to go to Duck Pizza. The service was great, pizza came out fast, and all three at once. The crust is excellent, considering this isn't NY, it is by far the best on the northern beaches. Sauce was very good, nice consistency and good flavor, not just out of the can. Toppings were all tasty and lots of good choices. The owner kept checking in to make sure we were happy. Consistent hours, 11:30 to 8:30 7 days. They also deliver to everyone between Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn. Try it if you haven't, you will be pleased. read more

This was for a delivery order. They deliver. The service was efficient and the price was reasonable. The delivery was prompt and as promised. The pizza was just okay. Certainly nothing special - just pizza. The one real downside for me (and I know it's small and it's just a pet peeve) was ordering a pizza that has mushrooms and finding that the mushrooms were out of a can or pre-processed. There is just something nasty about canned/processed mushrooms on a pizza (or anywhere). Tough, rubbery, basically flavorless excuses for vegetables. Please, please, please - buy them fresh, clean them, slice them and serve them - it's not that hard. read more

1 star is generous. We ordered over phone AND PAID before 6 pm and told 1 hour. We are approaching the 2 hour mark and tried to call to check status. Went straight to voicemail 5 times. Call finally went thru and told that time was quoted as2 hours for delivery. Still waiting. The shop is 1.3 miles from where we are staying. Last time we will order. After over 2 1/2 hours we called and were told that the order could not be delivered and driver "attempted" to call 3 times due to lack of gate access. Tolerable pizza at a steep price. If you're okay with Domino's or Papa John's then I'm sure you'll love Duck Pizza. Lured in by their free delivery and the magnet on the fridge in our rental we tried this place on our first night in Duck. Their promised delivery time frame of 40 minutes ended up being over an hour and 20 minutes. I guess free isn't always a good thing! At least their employees were cordial and helpful. The pepperoni on our pizza tasted off and the sauce was nothing to write home about. The crust was neither thin nor what other places call "traditional" and was largely tasteless. The whole thing was so greasy that the box was soaked through. If you want delivery and don't need anything other than something to fill your stomach then this place will do. If you want a good pizza at a fair price head a bit down Duck Road and check out Waves. read more

I wanted to leave No stars...NONE. Placed an online order on 10/5. Dick Pizza called and told us they didn't have what we ordered and asked if we wanted to cancel the order. We said yes please cancel. We get home from vacation to find that our bank card has been charged $47 for an order we didn't receive. Have called Duck Pizza no less than 20 times at the number they provide on their website and no one answers and they are not accepting messages. I've also emailed them at the link they provide on their website and no one responds. I did speak to a human being one time as soon as I found the charge and she said she would leave a message for Derrick to call me. Guess what?....that's right...no call. So I didn't receive any food to rate but I can tell you the customer service or complete lack of it is unacceptable. read more

We called into this pizza cafe as all other restaurants in the area were fully booked. It soon became obvious why this place was empty. The salads are pre-made on the mornings and they grabbed a huge tub of pre cut chicken out of the fridge to add to my order. Thankfully I cancelled my order. The pizza itself tasted good. I am giving them one star because it will not allow me to give no stars. First off we ordered online and when we went to pick it up at the time that it said when we ordered they hadn't even started the order. I watched the gentlemen making the pizza drop one coming out of the oven and then check to see if anyone was there...thankfully I was because I am positive he would have sent it out. Love the ability to order online and get delivery. The wings and pizza were good, skimpy on some toppings, but we had no complaints. Wanted to try wood fired but we were limited to a few places who deliver. Delivery was a welcome surprise 10 minutes faster than quoted. I tried making a very simple order over the phone for delivery. Not only could the person taking the order NOT understand me but they could not understand where to deliver to. ( Literally right down the street ) After having 4 people in my home speak to this person we got the order through. We decided to call back and pick up the order as we were not confident they knew how to get to our place ( Even though it was down the street ) When I arrived to pick up the food it was not ready. Ok no big deal. But I sat and waited over 40 minutes after the initial 40 minutes they said it would take to make it. It was one Large Pizza, Grilled Chicken salad and wings . So as I am waiting for the food to be made there were 3 people working the front counter. The restaurant was NOT busy at all. They brought out the pizza ad wings but no salad . Over 30 minutes later the girl looked at us and goes "oh! " Runs in the back and brings out the salads. She took them pre-made right out of the fridge. So not sure why I had to wait over 30 minutes to get salad that was pre-made. Well because of the other food being ready by the time we got the salads the pizza was cold, and cheese hardened. The wings were TERRIBLE ... No meat on them, soggy and lots of fat. We ordered both Hot and mild. There was absolutely no difference in the hot sauce ... NONE! Oh and the salads i took them almost 2 hours to make . Right .... It was processed frozen chicken that they threw on top of the garden salad. They did not even bother to warm the chicken. It was TERRIBLE. I spent over 70 dollars on food that went right into the trash. We had to go back out after bringing it home and get dinner elsewhere. read more

The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean. We got a stromboli, which was quite good, but the portion was incredibly tiny, which was surprising, as the thing cost nearly $10. I was also disappointed that it only came with cheese, a side of marinara, and a choice of one other topping. All in all, it was a decent experience. Found out due to asking if we were inconveniencing them as I was sensing high levels of frustration from the staff and owner that we were there. Cooking on vacation is so overrated. We were looking for a local, non-chain pizza place that would deliver to us in Southern Shores. After making a few phone calls, we found Duck Pizza. The house salad was crisp and fresh. I'm not sure what type of cheese they put on top, but YUM! Our 4 X-Large pizzas were huge. Seriously gigantic. The crust was thin without being flopping. The sauce was sparse. Our extra cheese and pepperoni toppings were good, but nothing too special. I liked how they cut them into somewhat smaller slices. This means I can eat more pieces without feeling as guilty. I kept coming back for more. I would absolutely order again next time we're in the OBX. Check their website for a menu! If we weren't ordering for a group, I would love to try one of their specialty pizzas. read more

The pizza was pretty good. Especially since I came from Memphs and those idiots think pizza is store bought pizza crust with spaghetti sauce and pepperoni on it. The salad was nothing more than half a head of iceburg lettuce with a sliced tomatoe on it. Definitley worth a visit for a quick slice of pie, just don't expect much. I live nearby and eat from here often. I've only had it delivered so I can't say how the eat in experience is. The pizzas that i have had are incredible. Their specialty pizzas are what we always order and have not been disappointed yet. I think the small sized pizzas are hugely overpriced but the extra large is a good value compared to what I see elsewhere. All in all, I really love their pizza and service. read more
