I agree that this is a solid 4/5 star drive-through car wash. I don't expect the level of cleanliness that you would get with an auto detail. It gets the job done for a quick rinse on the outside. I downloaded the Ducky's app beforehand and set up an account. The app gets terrible reviews because people don't realize that you need to create an account (link is at the bottom of the app login page) whereas the app makes it look like you type in your email and you get a login code. Putting in your email only works after you've created an account. Once I set up the app, I used the first time car wash deal for $9.99 unlimited for one month. I learned through another review that I could get my first wash free by downloading their app, so I did that and the free wash loaded automatically, which was nice. When I got there, there was no line and an attendant under an umbrella (needed because it was very hot and sunny) scanned my barcode then guided me in to the start of the wash with a little sign. The wash itself was quick, through and effective, fully removing the sticky liquid that had gotten on my front quarter panel. The blow dry portion was strong and long enough to do the job, which was appreciated. I didn't use the one vacuum stand available, though I can imagine that gets pretty backed up when it's busy. There's not really room to put a second one, however. I don't think I need to wash my car often enough for the monthly plan, but I do plan to go back next time I need a quick wash, instead of going up to the one in Cupertino I had been patronizing previously. read more

The car wash today didn't really clean my car. Sure, it took off big chunks of leaves, but it still came out with a good amount of dirt. I have to give it another wash. Nice people, but just didn't work for me this time. read more

Ducky's Car Wash is attached to the Chevron gas station at the corner of Prospect and Saratoga Avenue in San Jose. For a "gas station car wash", this is a solid 4 out of 5 in my book and a pretty good place to go! - Customer service was positive, and the worker at the payment kiosk was helpful. They put on a protective plastic sleeve over my rear windshield wiper blade to prevent damage - I appreciated that. - The car wash itself was quick and easy to go through and all the directions were clear, i.e. when to enter (there happened to be a car right in front of me), when to set your gear to Neutral and release your foot from the pedals, then when to press the gas after it's through. -The car wash successfully removed the dirt / pollen / bugs from my front and rear windows, and it was a nice brushless wash. - Took off one star because there were still a number of water spots after I was finished, despite the "blow dry" treatment at the end. You can purchase promotional memberships, like $9.99 for unlimited washes for one car for the first month. I might consider that next time, but today my car wash was free for downloading the Ducky's Express app - great deal! read more

Never thought I'd leave a review for a car wash drive through station but this one was impressive. We were surprised that there was actual staff at the payment spot and at the beginning of the wash. They put a protective sleeve on the rear windshield wiper. You just drive in and out your car in neutral. My son loves watching all the colorful lights as our car was washed. And the fan at the end is so powerful a bunch of leaves that were caught in that little space in the hood blew out. Place is horrible, went to thousands of car washes in my car before lo and behold I go here after driving home from school, my bumper gets a nice pullout. Of course though, because my car had an unrelated dent they weren't "liable". Right. Just go to the chevron washers stuffs good enough to mess up a bumper but can't wash off any actual bug or bird stains. read more

Every time I went here the blowers and brushes would pull off a part of my two SUV's. Finally on the last occasion it tore off my entire rear wiper mechanism. It sounded as though something had crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The staff and corporate office were unresponsive and avoided all contact and responsibility. . They have a bucket of car parts they keep because of issues here. The Chevron employees don't want any association to it even though the wash was purchased through them. Stay away. When they first opened I tried it and got a great wash. I then got a membership for $30 a month. It included a wash, dry, wax and protective coating. Since I got the membership my washes are with water only, not soap like when they opened. The wax and coating is just water too. So don't pay for the extras just get the cheapest package. Also because theres no soap it doesnt get off sap or bugs that well. ​ read more

Beware of Ducky's. I signed up for a 1 month trial on both of my cars in August. I canceled both before the cut off date and I am still being charged for the Lucky Duck wash which is 29.99. I paid for a $.99 and $9.99 one month deal. I have called numerous times and after almost 3 months I received an email telling me that my one account was canceled and the case was closed. Next steps are to call my credit card company to give the proof they need and have them reverse the charges. Nightmare read more

I hate trial period pricing. It's $10 unlimited for one month, then it's $20 or more. For a plain ol' gas station car wash. 3 people were working and couldn't get the payment to work, so I would have had to go inside and pay cash. Maybe it will work when they get enough subscriptions but I'm done with car washes where I have to endure a sales pitch. Quack...Quack! Similar to Ms. Dolly's experience below. I cancelled, they charged my card $29 when there was NO contract to be charged that amount...I didn't sign up for $20/month. Hell to pay with emails, calls that went no where..."Oh, we'll get back to you..." they never did. The CS number goes to CHEVRON (yet they say they are not associated with Chevron)...they also did not follow up after I told them about the charge. As far as I'm concerned it is fraud...charging what you did not contract for and not refunding when it was cancelled during the cancellation period. Very bad look, bad CS. read more

Overall okay, not the best car wash. Parts of the windshield still looks uncleaned. It's super fast and the attendant manually squirt soap on the car before entering it. The female attendant is a liitle rude. She was yelling at me to park my car on neutral. ​My car was on neutral, but she still kept yelling out loudly "put on car on neutral!" My car is on neutral. Im not sure why she keeps yelling so loud. I could hear her yelling even with all my car windows closed that "this is not your first time here!". My car has always been on neutral. Sigh. No need for that nasty comment and yelling tone. The whole ordeal was stressful. I'm debating if it's worth the stress to return. read more
