The guy even showed what the air vent from upstairs looked like before and after he cleaned it. It was literally spotless after he cleaned it. I was looking around for vent cleaners for our two furnace system and was lucky to find Ducts R Us. They provided the best pricing out of all the vent cleaners I contacted and covered the largest scope of work, including furnace cleaning, a bathroom vent cleaning, and sanitizing spray for the vents. They were a little busy though so I had to schedule them to come out two weeks later. On the day of service, two technicians came out and were very professional and courteous. There was no upselling, and they just went to work for about 3 hours. The company was responsive in scheduling the appointment. The two gentlemen who arrived were punctual, professional, and did a good job cleaning the air ducts throughout our entire house, in addition to the furnace and dryer vent. Issues became apparent once they left though. They had cleaned the furnace but had somehow turned off the pilot light on our water heater (although the gas was still on), so we had no hot water. Additionally, although they cleaned out the dryer vent, they did not properly reattach the dryer vent, so when we attempted to run a load in the dyer, we came downstairs 30 minutes later after starting the dryer to find a ton of heat and moisture in our basement near the dryer. The owner apologized and came out the day after to fix the issues, so everything ended up ok. read more

We had our ducts cleaned and sanitized by this company for the first time. I can not say enough good things about the two young men who did the job. So polite and courteous. Michael and Juan came promptly and even called ahead to give a 15 min eta. The before and after pics were unbelievable to see how badly we needed this done on our two furnace two story and full basement house. They also cleaned two dryer vents and one is an in closet stackable unit. Michael cleaned it from our attic and this saved me having to make the usual costly service call to Abt for dryer vent cleaning. They also gave us a coupon for 50.00 off and cleaned one of the bathroom fans and dryer vent for free. We will definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them - they arrived right on time for their appointment and spent more time than expected going through the ducts and explaining the services to us. We paid an additional fee for the dryer vent cleaning and I'm so happy we did b/c it did not look like the previous owners ever did this. I found this great little company on Yelp so I'll contribute a quick review to confirm the five star service that I received. Nothing complicated, just something I should've done a long time ago regarding the ductwork in my house. We just finished some major renovation and figured this was a good time to clean the construction dust and years of build up. We had no idea how much gunk was actually in our system until opening one of the vents for painting. Excellence from the initial call, to the prompt service, to the fair price, to the great crew of Chris and Charlie that came to my house. I obtained a quote to evaluate their services and was provided back a long detailed message regarding their procedures. The message stated "The EPA and the National Air Duct Cleaners association do not recommend any kind of santizers or deodorizers to be applied inside of the duct work. It can harm the indoor air quality as well at the actual duct work itself." Because I am researching this topic heavily because I'm in the market, this statement is absolutely not true. To quote the EPA: "A small number of products are currently registered by EPA specifically for use on the inside of bare sheet metal air ducts. A number of products are also registered for use as sanitizers on hard surfaces, which could include the interior of bare sheet metal ducts". I used Yelp to gather estimates on a full duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning after we got hardwood floors installed in our condo. Ducts R Us came back with the most competitive price and the most services out of the bunch. Also, judging from their other great reviews, it was a no-brainer. When they came over, they covered all the flooring with blankets as to not damage them and talked through what they'd be doing for the next few hours so we had a better understanding. They then proceeded cleaning out every vent in the condo along with the dryer vent. They showed us before and after pictures for each vent so we could see the difference. Absolutely wonderful experience! We had a early Sat morning appointment given the timeframe of 7-9AM and two technicians arrived close to 7AM. I could not have asked for more professional and courteous technicians. They wore protective booties, masks while in the home and they explained everything in depth when we had questions. The previous painters had painted over the vents and the technician was up front about costs for extra labor which I appreciated. The before/after photos were great. Chris explained clearly what they were going to do, then he and Michael went about doing it. They worked hard from start to finish, about 3-1/2 hours in total, not cutting any corners, and making sure to do the job right. The ductwork included 18 supply and return vents.
