Great little dive-ish bar in such a cute part of town. The cobble stones and water right outside are really nice. We went on a Monday which was 70 cent wing day from 6pm - 11pm, and they were really incredible wings. We tried the hot and the spicy and sweet thai flavors and liked them both. The crabby fries were also amazing, with lots of crab on them. I was just disappointed with the fried oyster platter. Maybe it was just a personal preference, but the taste wasn't great, and you also only get like 5 oysters and some fries for $11. That definitely wouldn't stop me from coming back though, and I would recommend stopping by! Especially on a Monday. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite on my husband's birthday. Small and intimate tavern with great service. We only had buffalo wings and crab dip but enjoyed. The wings were actually the best we have had in awhile. Plump, juicy and hot with the right amount of heat! Would definitely come back. read more

My lady and I visited Duda's in Fells Point On 6/13, the day after the Paul McCartney concert at OPACY. Adrianna (2n's) was the bartender / waitress for the entire place. She was super friendly with a great personality. She welcomed everybody as soon as they walked in the door and told them where they could sit. We ordered food and drinks. She was super knowledgeable about the beers on tap. She interacted with everybody in the place. She was sarcastic in a very good way. She was super busy and didn't let It get her frazzled. It was Adrianna's birthday so we tipped her extremely well. We hope your fifth date went well and you didn't corrupt that nice young lightweight of a guy. I'm an out of town visitor looking for dinner in Baltimore. So I go with the flow and order crab cakes and an orange crush. My son was with us and he was not feeling well so we moved outside. Our waitress was very understanding and accommodating. From our short stay inside, I can say that if you like the corner bar atmosphere this is your place. There were maybe a dozen happy hour folks celebrating TGIF. Outside there are maybe a half dozen tables and they are mostly shaded, great for views of the bustling area without being intrusive. On to the food. My orange crush was good and my wife enjoyed her margarita. My son wasn't digging his ginger ale but he wouldn't be in love with a bag of fifties at that point. I grade crab cakes on three things; taste, amount of meat vs filler, texture and in that order. Taste - check, little filler - check, texture - just a tad dry. So would I recommend them, absolutely. Would they be on my death row last meal list - no. All in all, a good experience and we would return next time we are in Charm City. My son you ask? Another great meal at Duda's Tavern! We usually order crab cakes, which are always delicious, but today we got a burger and a steak sandwich which we thoroughly enjoyed! Duda's is a small unassuming dive bar in a prime Fells location- across from the water and surrounded by swanky neighbors. It goes unnoticed by those attracted to yuppie-esque atmospheres at Bond Street Social or craving pseudo "ethnic" experiences at Mezze/Kali's/Meli. Think of what Diagon Alley looked like to Muggles ;). The atmosphere is so laid back, down to earth, and cozy that I feel like this is what Baltimore really *is*- once you peel back the shiny veneer of Harbor East and look beyond the downtown crime and grime. The food is pretty good if you know what to order. Their baked chili bowl with buttery croutons and melted cheddar is the perfect antidote to winter chill, and their crab cakes are the best in the Fells Point area. There is a different special every weeknight, and last time I checked, Tuesday is 1/2 price crab cakes. Don't come here if you are in a hurry though, food service is really slow. read more

We wandered into this place looking for some dinner and it was an excellent decision! Come here and get the crabcakes. I am no connoisseur of the crabcake and generally find them a bit unappealing due to all the filling and grease but Duda's were amazing! Much much more "crab" than "cake" in these guys without the greasy after-taste. You can order them as a single or a platter (2 plus 2 sides). I got the single and it came with a side of coleslaw and some chips. It was more than enough (well after my steamed clams for an appetizer) and it was amazing. Although the menu indicates the crabcakes are "market price" don't get scared. The platter was $27 and the single was only $14. Well worth it. Yes, the service is a bit slow but it's a great atmosphere and the servers are excellent. Chill out and have a few beers while you wait on your food. read more

I visited Baltimore last weekend while on a girls trip with friends. We made Friday night dinner reservations at another restaurant but, oddly enough, the power went out on the block so we had to find somewhere else to eat. We were excited about getting seafood and crab, and stumbled upon Duda's. The only reason I am even giving this place any stars at all was because the crab crake was pretty good. We all ordered crab cakes in some form -- the crab cake sandwich, single crab cake, and crab cake platter. I ordered the single crab cake which came with a "side" of potato salad. I will warn, the term "side" is much too generous, as it actually came in one of those mini plastic cups that you would put condiments in. It couldn't have been more than a tablespoon or two of potato salad. Also, I noted some other pictures on Yelp included a side of coleslaw as well with the single crab cake. I was not offered or given any coleslaw, only this so-called "side" of potato salad. I would have posted a photo of my meal, but the outdoor seating was so dark that I could barely see my food in-person, let alone take any pictures of it. Regardless, the main reason for the 1 star was because of the awful service we received. I mean, absolutely terrible. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer because we were so hungry. Our waitress came out to advise that she made a mistake and put our dinner orders in first with the kitchen, before our appetizer. She apologized and said our appetizer would instead come out closer to when we got our dinners, or maybe even with our dinners. She instead offered to make up for this mistake by giving us shots at the bar after our dinner. We said it was no problem, and that worked for us. We literally did not see our waitress for the rest of our dinner. Well, our dinners were brought out by some guy. We all finished our meals and that same guy came and cleared our plates from the table. Still no sign of the appetizer we ordered. I figured the appetizer had just been forgotten by this point. After we had already finished our meals and our plates had been cleared, our appetizer finally arrived!!!! There was still no sign of our waitress, and some other guy brought out the appetizer. By this time, we were too full from drinks and dinner that we had ordered, and could not eat any of the crab dip (which, by the way, did not look like the crab dip pictured in other Yelp reviews here....no garnish on top and just a ramekin of crab dip with some pita-looking things on the side). Our waitress finally came back to the table and asked what kind of shots we wanted at the bar to make up for her mistake. We instead asked that she just take the crab dip off the bill considering the circumstances. We did not expect the dip to come out well after we finished our meals, we did not eat the dip, and we really did not want any "make up shots." I can't recall the exact exchange that then occurred with our waitress, but it was sooooo awkward. She said she could not take the dip off our check and it would be easier to make up for this by giving us shots. There was an awkward pause, and our waitress then mentioned she would have to pay for the crab dip herself if it did not go on our check. She then said nevermind and that it was fine and she would just "put it on somewhere else." I have no clue what she meant, but it was just awkward. I can understand if she needed to do some internal thinking on how to handle the situation, but the fact that she verbalized all this was a tad inappropriate. Needless to say, we paid our bill and got the heck out. I will not be returning any time soon!!!! read more

I will visit this place every time that I'm in Baltimore. Duda's is a great corner bar with that also happens to serve top notch bar food. This is a good place to unwind after a day of work. Our crabcakes were excellent- large pieces of crab and no filler. Be sure to get the platter, 1 crab cake isn't enough. Also, any place that has shakers of Old Bay on the table is A-OK in my book. Ok I don't know anything about the inside places in Bmore, I live in NJ and have lived in NYC and SF. But I've always loved Baltimore, been going there and enjoying the city for the last 30 years. With moderate level expectations, it does not impress. On even a slow night the service is downright horrendous. You will wait forever for crappy food. Prepare yourself. I could go and on, but let's keep it short, here's what to expect: 1. World record wait for mediocre food 2. Service without a smile and actually makes you feel like you're severely inconveniencing your server. The bar is slightly better than a table, but not by much. 3. This place is pretty clean and brightly lit to be considered a dive bar IMHO, but whatevs. We were here for beer only and the IPAs we all had were sorta gross - there were three of us and two had the same thing and one had another. It tasted to me like the tap lines needed cleaning. Our server was efficient and friendly though, and they had 120 Minute IPA in bottles so that heals a lot of wrongs. After grabbing a couple of drinks at Max's around the corner on New Year's Eve, we wanted to grab a bite to eat. Of course, I turned to Yelp for a recommendation. I love the location of this place. It is on a cobble-stoned street corner in Fell's Point neighborhood very close to the Inner Harbor. In fact, we walked from our hotel on Inner Harbor to this spot. The staff was helpful and pleasant, and the vibe of the place is great. It is smaller and quaint, has a full menu, great bar with plenty of beers, wine and liquor to choose from, and they had it all decorated for the holidays. I ordered the NY Strip dinner because it was the Thursday night special. If I went again, I would skip the special. Out of the four of us, none of us really ate much of our food. I ordered my steak medium and it came out charred. I hate char... it's gross and I do not know why a medium cooked steak would even have that much char on it. I would go back to this spot for a drink but I would not eat there again given the experience of our entire party with each of the plates we ordered. I wish I could remember what the rest ordered but I was too distracted by the burned bits of steak I was trying to consume. read more

This is our go-to afternoon drink spot in Fell's Point. I've never tried the food, but it looked like decent bar food. As for the drinks, they are cold and plentiful. The tap list is extensive from local favs like Natty Boh to great craft brews from all over the country. Price wise, it's a little bit cheaper than the surrounding bars. Stopped in for lunch after walking by this place a ton of times and never noticing it. Duda's is a small corner restaurant, with a bit of seating, a really long bar, descent tap selection and a large menu. It's mostly pub fair - but with a baltimore twist (old bay, seafood etc) and higher end that you'd expect from this little corner shop. Walking in on a Friday, the place was packed. The waiter was a bit surprised by this, but we were still able to grab a table outside on the sidewalk. I got the burger, with cheddar cheese and a side of fries - around $11. It was really good. I ordered it Medium, and it came on the Medium-well side of things, but was still juicy and plump. At $11 bucks it's not a steal, but not a bad deal either. The fries were crispy, wavy style fries. No complaints there. Despite the sudden surge of patrons, our waiter checked in a few times and was really friendly, answering questions and joking around with us a bit. Granted, we were there for a really long time - but I think it was just that they were overwhelmed, and no one seemed to be in a rush at the other tables. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other options on the menu - crabcakes seem to be suggested a lot, and they do have a bunch of seafood options. Went here twice, second time was much better. Food was great both times, but our waitress the first time was a flake. Delish crab cakes. If you get two, prepare to be stuffed. The chicken wings were great, too. I really liked the BBQ and Old Bay ones. Great beer selection. Problem with the first waitress was that our food took forever to arrive and then she brought the wrong stuff. Our second waitress was much better and attentive. To be honest, even after all the good reviews I read, the initial smell of Duda's that knocked me in the face when I walked in almost made me second guess my choice, but I sat down anyways and figured I'd get used to it.. Ultimately, my boyfriend and I went for the crab cakes and we were not disappointed! We were the only people in the place around 5 on a Monday.. clearly an awkward time, but we were hungry! We got some happy hour beers and ordered one crab cake platter and one extra crab cake to split. It was a perfect amount for us between 1 1/2 huge jumbo lump crab cakes and all the sides that came with it. This tiny little hidden masterpiece is the oldest bar in Fells Point and still only has a 6 day liquor license- which means, and remember this when your dying for their wings to go with some Ravens football, its closed on Sundays...Besides that unfortunate detail (I would happily eat here every day of the week if I could...) Duda's has a great menu that takes you from standard bar fare (done very well) to amazing dishes only found here; such as the chilli bake (unreal chill bakes and topped with buttermilk croutons and cheddar cheese) old bay wings and the Raven burger (big, spicy and delicious). Best dive bar in Baltimore. The food is fantastic, the bartenders are attentive, but not obtrusive and the crowd is never the same twice. My husband always chooses Duda's when he needs a burger and the Raven Burger does not disappoint. Whether we're doing buckets of Polish beer on a Saturday or just stopping by on a weeknight for a quiet meal, Duda's always delivers exactly what you're looking for. The only word of warning is: the food does not come out fast. Dive bar with a chill local feel. Street parking, use the pay stations on each side of the block and put your parking permit on the dashboard. Came here for crabcakes. Not too shabby but Market Price varies. I think crab cakes are overpriced anywhere you go in Charm City. Mine, at Duda's, was served on a Kaiser roll, and it was very tasty, legit crab chunks and fresh. For the price, I would have liked to see a bit more. I had a few of their local brews on tap during Happy Hour, nice way to wind down. Service was five stars phenomenal, very chill, patient, and friendly. First off, the crab cake here is delicious. It's about the size of a tennis ball and served with fries, 1/2 sweet potato and 1/2 regular. You will feel like 'this is the life' looking at the bay from your outdoor table. They have a full service bar and a wide selection of every beer you can think of. The service here was fast, but I could see it getting backed up in the evening. I was here on a Saturday afternoon. I like the feel of the bartender servicing us, sort of a mom-pop feel. Next stop on the bar crawl, walked into this smallish corner. It got raved reviews on it's food, so I figured the bar service wouldn't be bad either. Walked in, and it was pretty packed. There were several girls in line for drinks, and all the bartenders were ignoring them/us, just making drinks for the patrons at the tables. They were clearly understaffed for a Saturday night, or the priorities weren't straighten out. Once we got attended to, which was about ten minutes after we walked in, the bartender thought I said "fuzzie nipple" however I said "Rezzie Ale." Yeah, I don't exactly know where he got that from, nor do I look like a fuzzie kind of guy... They do have a real good selection of beers though. There were a few I never heard of before, but I'm also not from this region though either. Drinks were expensive in comparison to Leadbetter, but I guess that everything is. However, it was $11 for a draft beer, and a g and t, kind of steep. The saving factor of this place this night was the small bistro tables outside that let us enjoy the nice evening weather. read more

This place is just a great chill bar with above average bar food. Right in Fell's point, and if you sit outside you see the water. Pretty extensive menu for a bar...I ordered wings and a salad and was pleased with both. One thing to note-they had "sweet potato sticks" on the menu, which I ordered, thinking they were sweet potatoe fries. Wrong! They were shaped like mozzerella sticks and were filled with a sweet potato mush that almost looked and tasted like baby food. Totally bizarre. I mean I'm all about bar food and hole in the wall joints, but this place must have had the slowest service imaginable, bartender eating the free Happy Hour food behind the bar, the cook leaving the kitchen going outside; for what I have no idea (just a few observations) and to top it off my boyfriend and I were the only patrons in there ordering food! My girlfriend were in Baltimore for the weekend and kinda decided on a whim to pop into Dudas for dinner, mostly because neither of us had been there yet. Well, I've had beers there before but never dinner. For an appetizer we got fried clam strips and woah. Just woah, they were great. Some of the best I've had. They have a GREAT craft beer selection but we'd spent all day drinking those at Max's so I just got a buncha Natty Bohs, she got wine. I ordered one of the specials, a soft crab sandwich. Let's just saw... WOW. I'd never had one of these before, so they explained it all to me. I made the right choice. Whole crab, seasoned, breaded and fried to perfection with a nice i cant remember, but was delicious. Fries were cooked to perfection and Old Bay was bein sprikled appropriately. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. My girlfriend got the fish n' chips which i tried some of and again... WOW. This I can say, after having fish n' chips everywhere and anywhere, this was the best. Why the 4 stars you ask? The two guys sittin next to us wouldn't stop bothering us. Even asked for a round of beers. They were nice and all, and it was fine when we were having the app and drinks, but kept bothering us while we were eating. I wish i could just do a 4.7 but there's no star fractions. Oh well, there's worse things in life than an interupted dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, the folks working were friendly and welcoming, and the beer was cold.
