This record shop is the BEST! It's family owned and operated, and you can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. They have a great selection, play great music while you shop, and have great service. Jesse was awesome, answering my questions, and even told me some history about one the Stones records I selected. Really cool place! A good selection of new and used vinyl, CDs and memorabilia. The prices are on the higher side, but nothing too outrageous, and everything is very good quality! You know I have never really been to that many record stores but I have got to tell you that there really is something special about walking into this store. Dudley's Vintage Vinyl is my favorite record shop to go to, forget amoeba and sound station, this is the place to be! Jesse has always been very helpful when I've come into the shop. He hooked me up with some awesome misfit and rancid stickers and plus they have all of the classics on vinyl! Phil is a great guy too, really friendly and made me feel welcomed in his shop. Definitely come check out this shop if you're in the area, the people running this shop alone will leave you with a great experience. Highly recommend! I bought a record player from Bill and Jessie and had the best experience ever. They were warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. They even opened up brand new record players for me and played numerous records, just to see if it worked! It is a beautiful Victorla turntable and I have never been happier. They even took a picture of me with it for their instagram page. :) Their records are numerous and voluminous, throwbacks and classics... Whatever you are looking for, they have it all! Don't buy from this guy. He buys from flea markets then resells for way too much. He is a complete novice and is taking advantage of people who don't know the going price of a record. He also puts the release dates on all of his records to deceive customers into thinking those are the pressing dates. I spend about 300-500 dollars on records every month, and visit local record shops frequently. My personal favorite shop is third eye records in Long Beach, and if you want to stay local to Torrance pm sounds has some cool stuff if you are into jazz. I was excited about seeing Dudley's shop opening because it is down the street from my house (that I own, bought from the business that I also own) but I must say it is the worst vinyl shop I have ever gone to. Read the owners reply to me, and see how he really is. Decides to insult the customer rather than taking constructive criticism. I wonder how long he'll be able to keep the doors open. Like I said don't waste your time, and money on this guy. You as the consumer deserve better. UPDATE: Why would I lie about about a record store? I love records, collecting, and crate digging. If I could give a no star I would. Two people working - The assistant was helping one customer - I should say sucking up to a customer - The counter guy didn't even know what a gross was - I asked about inner sleeve protectors - After the glazed eyes wore off from the apparent bong hit he had, he stated we have some... But we only do bulk. Hey pal, what is 144 (Gross) - Is that not bulk? Anyway, no more wasting my breathe on this loser - The owner was standing behind a counter doing nothing. I was never greeted - I flipped through some LPs, many of which I have, and stated WOW, my collection is worth a lot more than I thought - Based on their $30 - $40/LP price..... Asked the owner if the had ever been to Recycled Records on 8th and PCH in Hermosa - He said "No". "Not from around here". I asked about turntable parts - Do they have any or know of anyone? Stonefaced stated "No". I come back after visiting and said your customer service is not great and needs some work - He said he was "working with another customer (who was not present) on a """big order" then asked if I thought I was more special then that customer - Who did not exist - I said no, I just want to be treated fairly like any customer - then proceeded to rant and yell trespass and then called the police. He called the police and stated he hates white people. What a F'n jerk. Bill, you know nothing about customer service...... Love this store!! A friend mentioned there was a new place nearby to find vinyl. We used to haunt thrift stores, or make the trek to Hollywood or Culver City when we were in the market for records. This is a South Bay gem. So much to see you don't know where to look first. Records, posters, t-shirts and stickers. The owner Bill gives you amazing, personalized service. If he doesn't have the album you want, he can likely get it for you. From Logic to Sinatra, I recently came home with a treasure trove of records for the whole family. I've been to Dudley's a few times. Most times in and out with a couple of nice finds. But my last visit really didn't sit well with me. The last couple times it was just the younger gentleman. He stayed outta your way, but always checked in to see if you needed any assistance. Though this last go was with the older gentleman. He put off an uncomfortable vibe (if that's even a reviewable thing). He seemed to be watching my every move. Mind you, I'm in there with my 10yo son. So I don't necessarily match the description of someone who came in to steal. Eventually he came over to me and asked me what I was looking at because I took a record out of its sleeve to look at the condition. He then went on to flip the plastic protective cover around and then started to "explain" that it has to go a certain way so "people stay honest". Okay, fine and fair, but I'm standing right here man! There's literally no one else in the store. At best you should've waited until I was done or at least waited until I took one step away from that rack. Needless to say I probably won't return. Update: Just read the response to my review from William T. What a joke. My son is 10 years old. How many 10yo kids run amuck and behind counters?! Hahahaha. What a joke response. That wasn't me and it wasn't my situation at all. Even without that made up scenario William T's response is less of taking responsibility for his actions and more finger pointing towards the customer. Shows you how he thinks of his customers. I am very disappointed with my visit to this store which opened up 6 months ago and is oh-so-close to where I live. First the pros: lots of parking, friendly staff, a decent selection of good music despite the limited amount of records, and they only sell records in decent condition. The cons; Hugely expensive, some of the records I bought had the large hard-to-remove price stickers right on the cover (!) and there is no listening stations to play the records before you buy them. As to the prices, Every record was expensive; no bargains here. New records, such as the Eight Days a Week double album you can buy on Amazon for $18.99 is $30.00 here. Another example is the Adolescents debut record reissue on blue vinyl was $30 at Dudley's, but can be bought for its $15.00 list price on the Frontier Records website - and practically every other store. Used records are seemingly priced at DIscogs plus 20%. Even promotional cut-outs! I spend about $150 a month on records, but it looks like I will keep spending it at Freak Beat. Even factoring in gasoline I will. still get nearly twice as many records. Final Words: if you love getting gouged at Amoeba in Hollywood stay in the South Bay and pay high prices here! read more

Both of the guys working here helped me order exactly what I was looking for, and my order arrived just a few days later. I found their customer service to be very professional.
