Amazing! Wow! Fantastic! Lovely! So many words to describe this restaurant. I am shocked it has such low reviews. Don't listen to the rating! Go, and enjoy! We stayed next door at the Olema House. Our expectations were not high but one bite and we were delighted! We tried many things and each one was delicious. This chef really knows how to make simple things and elevate them! The staff were very kind and welcoming! The restaurant itself was clean, inviting and warm!

Wild Mushroom Toast - this was not wild mushroom but crimini, so just a slight adjustment to title, IMHO

Solid spot while in the area. If the decor was a sign for how delicious the food is then this place would be hitting it out of the park! Alas, decor is cuter than food is delicious but that's OK. We shared dishes and tried a few things which was fun to be able to taste more of the menu. I'm a sucker for a good dip so I was excited for the cod dip. We ordered extra crackers, so my pic reflects a double order. The dip was good overall in flavor but too loose/watery in texture and not really Smokey despite the title. If it was thicker it would have been a little stronger overall. The winter salad was good but I'm never a fan when big chunks of lettuce are served. I want a salad that is chopped and mixed properly together to meld the flavors and this wasn't that. Maybe it just comes down to personal preferences. Overall I'm glad we checked it out. I can't say I'd drive from home which is in east Santa Rosa just for it, but I'd make it happen again when in the area.

The service was excellent many seating areas inside and out nice to hang out while we waited for our car to charge The food...the oysters baked and fresh were very good we had chicken wing they had like no flavor and the drink was horrible,my poor hubby o my drank it because it was 13. Bucks

Overall solid B: great place, staff, cozy indoor/outdoor seating, yummy pizza fix after a long volunteering day at Pt Reyes: winter chicoties pizza pie (farm eggs, pecoriono, agliato), house salad, IPA beer and house red wine.

    Low Tide at Drakes Beach

My wife and I enjoyed Due West after walking the Trails and Drakes Beach(low tide) at Point Reyes, John was personable and helpful. We wanted something light so the Caesat Salad with pawns was great. The garlic Shrimp was really good, we soaked up the sauce with the brea. I rate Due West tavern an 8 out of 10. Thank You. Enjoy

They have a 5% mandatory surcharge that is not a gratuity added to all checks. This kind of pricing is a total turn off.

We had a 7:45pm dinner reservation and arrived on time, only to find no one at the host stand. After waiting about 10 minutes, someone finally came and seated us around 7:55. Water was poured, and then nothing. No server ever came to our table. After sitting there for 30 minutes without anyone taking our order or even checking in, we left at 8:25. Really disappointing, because the food actually looked good. We were staying nearby and decided to give it another shot the next morning for breakfast, which was included with our hotel stay. Unfortunately, it was more of the same. We arrived around 9am, again no one at the host stand. We eventually flagged down a waitress, who rudely told us to just seat ourselves. After sitting down, we waited another 20 minutes and still no one came to take our order. We left again without eating. The front of house operation here is a complete mess. It feels like there is no system at all, no coordination, no accountability, and no awareness of guests. At one point, I overheard staff saying things like "let's just say this one has no milk in it" and "let's just say this one is sunny side up," which made it clear they did not even know where dishes were supposed to go and were just guessing. Even more telling, barely anyone in the restaurant was actually eating, and most people looked as confused and frustrated as we were. Honestly, the owner and staff should be embarrassed by how poorly this place is being run. I have never seen such a complete breakdown in service, especially two days in a row. Huge disappointment.

As I waited for my friend I noticed that everyone working there is so sweet and loves being there and it shows in how kindly they interact with the guests! My friend wasn't sure what drink to get so they were kind enough to let her taste test to settle on a decision. From there we got our food - the catch of the day and spaghetti - genuinely some of the best Italian food I have ever had!! The flavor profile of every dish was so well curated and just writing about it makes me want to take the 3 hour drive to try it again. Afterwards we had the chocolate mousse and tiramisu which was also some of the best I ever had. By that time it was getting dark so Jodan rolled over a whole heating lamp for us since we were the only two left outside. The view was soooo peaceful and beautiful and the weather was perfect so if you can eat outside I def recommend. You wouldn't expect an old saloon way out in Bolinas to have such delicious, fresh Mexican food, but they do! Not only were the burritos and tacos delicious, but the pico, the guac, the green AND red salsas were all basically perfect - fresh, delicious, not too spicy, the exact flavor profile I want from each one! The locals pointed us to someone named Sean. We went to a bar to try to find him only for someone there to tell us he was in Richmond. I love that all the locals there knew this one mechanic. Eventually we called AAA to get the car towed and they came within an hour which was impressive Next on the agenda was to call an Uber to get us out of here. After roughly twelve attempts to call an Uber we found one. Our plan is to first Uber to Mill Valley and then try to catch something to S.F. While waiting we got some food here. The food was quite good. The fish tacos are very flavorful with excellent salsa. They had a robust menu of vegan options a the vegan chicken bowl is really good and ethically sourced to boot!
