We have been here several times over the past few years and the food, service and atmosphere are amazing. It's has a wonderful bar with full bar service and the menu has some many options and I have had a few of the chef specials. Never a bad meal. 10/10 love that this spot is in our side of Longmont. We loved the spinach artichoke dip to start and I'm still thinking about the goat cheese and apple salad, my dinner date loved date loved the fish and chips and the profiteroles ice cream dessert is delicious and definitely big enough to share. I didn't get to try to the Buffalo Cauliflower or Chocolate mousse so we need to come back. Everything was delicious and the service was super friendly. Great place, a little off the beaten path for me at least. Found it on Yelp. The concept for me, mostly a scratch kitchen a few nice entrees, good list of salsa and sandwiches. Good service our server just to happen to be one of the owners. Overall good experience. Good fries, really nice side salad. The Ruben had excellent presentation and amazing flavor, the meet just a little tough but the way it's sliced made it fine to pull apart. The Diet Coke and Coke Zero were pretty flat but want enough to complain. Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu and looking forward to some more Bourbon selections read more

We went to Duets yesterday and absolutely loved it. The curry fries were so good, and the space itself is really inviting. The service was spot on--we had a server with long hair (I wish I remembered her name!) who was incredibly helpful and kind. We shared the prosciutto sandwich, which was delicious. I was totally in the moment and didn't even think to take photos. My husband had the salmon sandwich and loved it, and the lobster bisque was amazing. We'll definitely be back. read more

Decent new restaurant. Tasty cocktail at the bar and friendly service both at the bar and at the dinner table. Cocktails were great. Background music was barely audible. Started with a Prosciutto special order (not the salad); Burrata, Steak Frites and Coq au Vin good but not exceptional. Chicken portion was a little modest. Ordered a bottle of Campuget Rose but they were out so they brought bottle of a bottle of Moulin de Gassac which wasn't on the list. Menus not on the website, which is unfortunate. Taking into account that they are still new all in all it was a good visit. Will give them another couple months to get their ducks in a row then try again. read more

We used to go to the restaurant that had this space before and miss it. But we were excited to finally try Duets, especially because we have yet to find a burger we both enjoy in Longmont. My husband is particular because he's worked in restaurants. We went last evening for dinner during happy hour after my husband got off work. It took a while for the server to come over. She appeared to be the only one in our half of the restaurant. It was not very busy, still, if they can't attend to customers right away, they should have another server. She didn't seem very engaged with anyone. Just going through the motions. My wine came quickly but she forgot my husband's club soda until our burgers arrived and he reminded her. Speaking of the burgers, it took longer than expected to get them. The hostess had told me earlier when I stopped to get a menu that they have a new chef this week, so perhaps he/she is still getting familiar. She also told me that they will be tweaking the menu. Hopefully they will post it online since I had to go there to get one. And hopefully they complete their website. I looked there and also found a Facebook page, but no menus. Just pictures which doesn't tell me anything. We asked for 'medium' cooked burgers and they were medium rare, which I like, but my husband wanted actual medium, just a little pink. So I was happy but he wasn't. The burger seemed bigger than the 6oz it said on the menu, which was great. The fries were mostly good, but some were a bit soggy. The lettuce was fresh, pickles good. The onion seemed cut from an edge, so had too much tough skin for my liking, but at least they were thin. There was a stray brown glob. I still don't know what it was. Our waitress never checked on us, so I called over the hostess who was more personable anyway. She thought it might have been mushroom, which comes on a different menu item, so that shouldn't have happened, right? As far as atmosphere, the layout looks the same as the previous restaurant, but updated. So, it has cleaner lines. I used the ladies room and it is nice, upscale, except for one oddity, the toilet paper holder looked old and chipped. So yes, this review is mixed. Not sure we will go back. The burger is a good deal, but to spend our hard earned money these days, the service and food should be better than this. And we continue to look for the best burger. read more

We went to Duets when it was the deli not the bistro. It has deli items for lunch and an expanded bistro menu for dinner. First off, the service was wonderful. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. She came back several times to see if we needed anything. She brought us to-go boxes and the check in a timely manner. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. Instead of the usual bagel, it came on a baguette. It had a generous serving of smoked salmon (lox) plus cured cucumbers and cream cheese. I did not want the red onions. I thought it was tasty. My guest ordered the Tuna Salad Sandwich. She said it was delicious, but the serving size of tuna was really small for the $14 price. The sandwiches are served with your choice of Boulder Canyon chips. The interior was clean and attractive. They had comfortable booths and an outdoor seating area. There is plenty of free parking. I liked my sandwich, but my guest was not impressed with the amount of food in her sandwich. I would like to see what the place is like at night for the bistro food choices. read more

I absolutely love that this bistro landed in our neighborhood. We tried the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer. I had never heard of this dish before and it was inspired. I followed it up with a chicken mozzarella panini. The ciabatta roll was delightfully crunchy and chewy and made a perfect sandwich. We had a couple of cocktails to top it off. If Duets Bistro is aiming to become the worst new restaurant in town, congratulations -- they're off to a phenomenal start. From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a disaster, not a dining experience. We were left waiting an eternity before anyone even acknowledged us. When someone finally did, they managed to bring just one glass of water for two people. A romantic gesture? No. Just sheer incompetence. We ordered drinks -- a low bar for any bistro, right? Wrong. After twenty full minutes of waiting and watching the bartender churn out drinks for everyone but us, we flagged down the manager (a man in a white hat, who apparently believes his headwear compensates for poor service). When we politely asked about our drinks and suggested they might've been forgotten, he defensively snapped, "There are nine tickets ahead of him," like that somehow excused the fact we had literally watched him serve others who arrived after us. When we said we were leaving, he didn't apologize. He didn't ask us to stay. He just shot us a snide, smug look, yanked the menus from our hands, and turned on his heel like a brat denied a toy. What a charmer. And let's not forget -- multiple items on the already unimpressive menu were mysteriously "unavailable." In short: Duets Bistro is all sting, no honey. We REALLY wanted to like Duets but, it fell flat for us. We went for a birthday celebration and noted this in our reservation. Yet at no point was it acknowledged or anything offered to our birthday girl. I had reviewed the menu before going and was excited for the French Onion Soup and Gnocchi. I had to adjust when I found out they put walnuts in the pesto rather than the traditional pine nuts. So ordered the soup and a Philly Sandwich. Prior to our meal, I got a Duets Spritz, which was wonderful. 3 of us ordered a soup or salad to come prior to our meal, yet everything came out at the same time. This left one of my items to get cold while I ate the other. While the soup was OK, it wasn't great. Lacked depth and seasoning. The meat for the Philly sandwich was a little off putting but I did enjoy the baguette. One of our friends got wings and was encouraged to get the ranch to dip. Ranch was super herby and just didn't taste like ranch so my friend wanted blue cheese. No one came back to check on us so we needed to get up and find someone to make the request. 3 of the 4 of us ordered a second drink but they got one of the orders wrong and brought back an incorrect drink. They did make it right and left the incorrect drink with the table. No one asked about a dessert and at that point we were done. Again, wish this place was better, for the high prices, I think we'll go somewhere that has it figured out and can provide good to great service. read more

Maybe our worst restaurant experience ever? (And, yes, we politely advised the wait staff the issue.) The 1/2 Ceasar salad - wilted. $11. Drowned in too much cheese, too? French Onion soup? Worst ever seen or tasted. And, it was $11 for the (super) small? Corned beef sandwich. ($18 w fries) Uh, can you even find more drier, sorta burnt, thin and stringy pieces of corned beef? Was tough biting through it, so much that the sandwich sort of disintegrated when trying to get a bite. Left under the heat lamp too long? Seemed more than that. When wait person was picking up our plates ... he repeatedly asked if the sandwich was ok, since it was hardly eaten. The dried, stringy dark meat was sort of laid out in plain site. Finally told him it was dry. The pickle slice on the plate - spongy. The fries that came out a bit after the rest of the food - looked promising Yay! Good sized portion. Several long and clearly freshly fried ones on top. But below, maybe 3/4 of the serving) was clearly small pieces from an earlier fry. We usually eat everything, even if it's just so-so, and 'cuz we don't like leaving food. Today ... maybe only 1/4-1/3 was eaten. Really want to see something successful at this location. Hope it somehow changes. They've done some nice work as to appearance and cleanliness. This was a holiday, so maybe regular cook was off? read more

I've now been to Duets in Longmont at least half a dozen times, and each visit has been an absolute delight. With every return, the food seems to reach new heights, and little touches keep improving like upgraded napkins and a beautifully designed menu. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming, and the drinks are top-notch. My personal favorite is the refreshing cucumber gimlet. The menu offers a wonderful balance of French bistro classics and beloved local favorites. Tonight, I enjoyed the Salad Nicoise: sushi-grade tuna, tender fingerling potatoes, pickled onions, and crisp haricots verts, all draped in a tangy, creamy dressing. Absolutely divine, and even better alongside that cucumber gimlet. The atmosphere is fresh, open, and inviting, with seating options to suit any mood. It's been such a pleasure to watch this gem grow into one of Longmont's most charming dining spots. We'll happily continue supporting their beautiful new presence in our community! read more

I had lunch here recently, and I have no particular complaints. The cocktail was good. the service was pleasant (bordering on enthusiastic, which is great for a new place), and vibe was relaxed. Overall, this place felt like a golf club restaurant. Drinks, food. If you're going to present raclette twice on the menu, I'd strongly suggest that it actually be melted and scraped off the cheese - rather than just sliced cold. I can see this place going a couple ways; either they'll settle in to whatever they envision, or cut their chops and become a destination (which unfortunately, it will need to be - it's a little off the path) and reconfigure slightly to step up the food game. I can't see what good adding "deli" does for the place, other than to name the counter that replaces the bike shop that used to be there. Either way, I look forward to return visit once they've settled themselves. Hint: french casual bistro, anyone? Maybe with breads, reheatables and salumi from the front counter? read more

The food was excellent. I had the salmon and wife had the Coq au Vin, both were so good we knew we had to have dessert... also delicious.

Unfortunately, this restaurant was a huge disappointment for our family. We were greeted warmly and sat promptly. But from there things went downhill. To start things off, we had to switch our table as there were several flies swarming around our booth. As far as the food, my salmon salad was good, however, our family got 2 french onion soups both of which were more like sludge and cold. There was actually no broth. Our waitress did take them away and off of our bill but didn't acknowledge the problem (no broth) but simply said that a lot of people like it. I'll add as well, that everything was served at once, my husband should have gotten his soup first. Secondly we got the gnocchi dish with steak. The gnocchi had some decent flavor but was swimming in grease. There were also several slabs of tough, flavorless steak strewn atop the dish. Next, the fries were apparently the last of an old batch they were trying to get rid of. They were also cold. The restaurant does have a nice atmosphere overall, sadly the food was mostly plain awful. I wish it was better. This restaurant is close to our neighborhood and we had high hopes. Of note, this is our second try coming here, equally disappointed the first time, but gave it another shot. We will not be coming back. read more

Our group between us had excellent happy hour old fashions and cosmos, French Onion Soups, Cesar Salads, a Pub Burger, Le Philly, and the amazing Croque Monsieur. We all agree that every single item was an A+ along with the perfect fries they came with. Hats off to the new chef! Connor made me an amazing Mocktail- Raspberry Mojito, loved! Be patient, starting, finding the best help. Takes time. I recommend and suggest coming back and giving it another try.
