Located right next to the movie theatre is Spitz, a mediterranean feast. When walking in there are various tables you can sit at. You order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table. So if you are new to this place, I would grab a menu and take a seat somewhere before ordering, if you haven't had a chance to look at the menu. My husband and I wanted to get a wide array of what was on the menu but we opted for the loaded street cart fries with a mix of sweet potato and regular fries and the OG gyro with beef and lamb mix. Because I wanted to try the chicken gyro I got the mixed meat for my street cart fries. They accidentally forgot to put it on my fries so I got it as a side. The food was really good, especially the sweet potato fries with a side of garlic aïoli. The fries inside of the gyro were pretty good, but I would but felt it was overloaded by other flavors. I also got a drink of a passionfruit Mezcal, which was nice and smoky. Overall, I would come back to the spot, but it is definitely not an everyday spot due to price point. The service is fine, the food is ok. For me, the food is just too many flavors and not enough good wholesome basics. Every component seems spiced in some way and instead of a singular flavor profile shining through the food it's just a mish mash of all different kinds of foods that over work my palate. I am not a huge fan of the fries too, they are always a bit dry and too skinny. The concept is cool, and I hope that they continue to thrive in their location. I know the rent is not cheap in that shopping center. Its more of a "sometimes" place we would only go to a few times a year if we didn't have many other choices. The prices are barely ok for what they offer. However I wouldn't judge on that since all restaurants these days seem to have forgotten that none of the working class salaries have increased in the craze of prices changing. I have new here three times each time I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised but each time it fell a bit flat. The flavors are okay and I think the ideas are good in theory but execution falls a bit flat. I love this place for lunch the street food is so good , the only problem I keep having is clueless servers always on there phone paying zero attention until u pay and give them a tip and they talk wow. Really was excited to try this place cause of reviews and great location. Boy was I disappointed. First of all, calling their doner a doner is an insult to doners. It was hardly a doner but rather more of a wrap. Also the bread/tortilla was rather tough and not great. We thought they spiffed us on the sauce and forgot to add it in there, then at the end of our doner we saw the smallest amount of sauce. And definitely not enough meat and too much cabbage. If this was a wrap, it's decent, but as a doner it's incorrigible. Will have to go back just to try their gyros as a second chance read more

Longmont was missing great Mediterranean food, but not anymore! I had a gyro with a Greek side salad and my husband had the Medibowl, a kind of protein bowl with a mix of meat, vegetables and hummus. All of my food was fresh and had a fabulous balance of flavors. The fries on the gyro were an interesting touch; I don't know that I'd add them next time, as it has plenty of flavor on its own. I'm not sure how to rate this...I'd give 3.5 if I could maybe a 4 if I had realized that it was a fastish food place. The service was great and the ambience fun. I got the falafel Donner. Presentation was great but after a few bites, I lost the difference of taste between the food items. Just kinda bland. I added their hot sauce options though and that spiced things up. I've been 3 times, the first 2 times things went well and the food was good! The 3rd time some simple things went wrong. Gin & Tonic is a simple drink way too much tonic and missing the Lime. Our order was made incorrectly, when I told the hostess she didn't offer to remake it, I requested she speak to the cook he came out I explained that we didn't get what we ordered and he apologized and remade it correctly. We first discovered Spitz on a road trip to Salt Lake City a few years ago and were thrilled when we heard they were coming to Longmont. It's quickly become one of our favorite spots in town; consistently delicious, always fresh, decent menu variety, and reasonable prices for the portion size (you can easily make 2 meals out of a wrap or bowl).
