Everything was perfect. These days that is hard to get. Got their name from someone in real estate and called. Got hold of Robert and found out they wanted $150.00 to inspect the whole underside of my double wide mfg home. Then if they found anything they would give me a complete quote. On the day and time of my appointment, Robert was there. It took him around an hour and I received a complete invoice listing everything he checked. In my case everything was in good shape. He was off and I was extremely pleased. Would without hesitation recommend this business to any mobile or manufacture home. read more

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They charged me for things I didn't need. They said all charges were included, they weren't. The wife was so nasty and harassing I had to block all their numbers. They went off in my lender also. Because escrow was paying them, as agreed from beginning they thought it took too long and threatened to lien my house. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Warning: Duffy is NOT a licensed contractor and does not have a structural engineer on staff. Duffy's is a "handyman" service. I learned the hard way that you do not want a handyman maintaining your mobile home foundation. These guys do not know what they are doing. Make sure to hire licensed contractors who understand structural engineering for this type of work. Duffy inspected and then recommended $1500 of foundation/pier work on my manufactured home last year. In the 12 months since Duffy did the work, the home has moved significantly and there is now damage to my walls, floors and ceiling. Duffy's "inspection" was worthless. They lack the expertise to spot real problems. It turns out all the work has to be re-done plus additional work is needed. Duffy inspection failed to notice or tell us that there was insufficient support underneath the house at the perimeter. Duffy also failed to notice or tell us that our piers were sitting on 40 year-old wood planks instead of water resistant plastic. All of this needs to be addressed at a new cost of $6500 now. The $1500 I spent with Duffy last year was a total waste of money. They did worthless "repairs". Their "inspection" was either incompetent or a scam. Duffy's does not know what they are doing. Don't make my mistake. Don't let Duffy's touch your foundation/piers. read more

Hit-and- miss quality - built an awning that seems fine, the paint job was awful Unreliable - backed out of a job he had already promised to do Unprofessional - left a huge mess of my deck furniture, then claimed he hadnt moved it. I'm disabled and could not have moved it myself and had to pay someone to put it back. I saw his crew move it and they reassured me they would put it back. When I pointed out deficiencies in the paint job, he used a childs sing-song voice to say "oh, you're a whiner." Really? Schoolyard insults from a supposed professional? Poor communication. Didnt follow through numerous times, all he cared about was my check. Avoid. read more

Until now!! 16 years in Palm Springs and I finally located and secured one - Duffy's. Robert took the time to listen to my intentions (some demolition involved) and make objective recommendations! I have a 20'x40' mobile home with a large addition that houses a Jacuzzi & bar that is not the same height as the home. Duffy (Robert Duffy) came out with his crew of 2 promptly within a couple of days & answered all of our questions, addressed our concerns about the home being on dirt, asphalt & concrete & the different levels of the 2 parts of the house & he was able to do the roof very neatly, add the correct pitch to the roof for drainage & made sure that there would be no future water damage. It is called a roof over & is a white aluminum roof with drip rails that he actually fabricated himself. There is foam under the roof & is quiet, sealed, very neat looking, guaranteed for life & is done with 2 large pieces of solid aluminum with a ridge cap down the middle that connects the 2 halves of the home & it is sealed with industrial polymers that you can't just buy at the local hardware store. Robert is the owner & he goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable without being pushy at all, he actually is up there on the roof doing the work himself with 2 other workers. He really cares about people & making you feel comfortable. After all that being said, he gave the cheapest price & actually did the complete job in 2 days & arranged for the inspector to come out at our convenience. To me, he is the last of a breed of Americans that say what they do & do what they say, go above & beyond & is involved in the entire process & building of whatever it is they will be doing to your home. He expresses great care in his responsibility & high quality of the work, customer satisfaction at a shockingly fair price that undercut the other quotes that I got from 2 other roofers by $3,000 each quote. The other quotes also said that it would take them 2 weeks to do the job & that there would be additional fees for inspectors! Good Lord, Duffy's Mobile Home Repair is a breath of fresh air! Duffy's was recommended to us by a friend. We needed our home leveled and a soft spot near the back door fixed. He was booked solid but promised to get back to me when he had openings in a few weeks. UPDATE: I'm going to keep the rating the same. However, after waiting for a few weeks for a call back, I finally heard from Mr. Duffy. I asked him for an estimate of what the skirting would cost, and he pretty much told me to do the math based on the measurements that I gave him. I am late getting my review out but didn't want to let it go without saying how pleased I was with the service and price. Response time was pretty darn immediate and it was over a holiday weekend so I didn't expect to a reply. I got a reply within no time and Rob had a job in my area so he popped by just to take a quick look. Was back the following weekend with a mate to do a full inspection. Fixed an a/c vent that was separated, replaced 3 risers and pointed out that I had some old water damage to the subfloor under the master bathroom but no current leaks. Was very pleased. There were some negative reviews about calls not being returned and that concerned me but it also made me think that he must be in high demand. I've come to realize that local services are great but don't expect them to have a call center, gushy customer service or dispatch. Most of them are a one man operation and that allows them to remain reasonably priced. read more

Two days ago, I requested a quote from Duffy's Manufactured Home Service to level our manufactured home after reading Yelp reviews and so glad I did. I received a quick email response from Robert and after speaking on the phone we were able to schedule today's project. Robert explained in detail for a flat cost of $300 they would level our home using the water method, as well as report any leaks, duct problems, etc. He and his 2 person crew came out today and within 2 hours had leveled our 1200 sqft manufactured home, finding many of our piers unlevel but no other issues. Since our home is 27 years old we now feel so much more comfortable knowing we don't have any lurking problems. Lastly, Robert and his team were professional, efficient and very pleasant. Our piers have not been replaced in 40 years. I got a number of bids, and they were all high with lots of items that should have been optional and hyped as the norm. My good fortune was meeting Robert Duffy of Duffy's Manufactured Home Services. From the first meeting in his driveway where he spent the better part of an hour explaining the detail of piers and what is and is not necessary to his completion of the project at my home, Robert was honest and went above and beyond in providing great service. He came to my home, inspected everything thoroughly, and gave me an estimate which was fair for both of us. It took him and his crew six hours, 48 piers, and thorough cleanup of all the old rusty piers to complete my project. I am beyond impressed.
