Oh my gosh, we had 25 minutes of amazing screams and scares. We are avid haunted house/haunted hayride/haunted walks fans and visit one each year. This was BY FAR, the scariest one we have ever done. Cranmore delivered just that and more. Lots of greens and blues where I could work on my skills, try trails with escalating difficulty, and still kick back when I just want to enjoy myself and not be a ball of nerves. I also enjoyed the length and variety of their many trails I could traverse. Was happy to have more options than just a quick up and down in a straight line over a full day of skiing. Their main lift was quick and skiers were able to load efficiently. Lots to look at on the way up. The day of my last visit there were several ski competitions going on just next to the lift so it was fun to watch people competing and see spectators make the trek up to watch as well. Ski patrol were out and about and lots of staff available to check in with as needed. The lodge itself had everything I needed... free cubbies to store your stuff, bench seating to change into your boots, adequate table space both up and downstairs to grab a bite to eat, indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces to huddle by, a bar and hot foods, and best of all... a bathroom at the same level as where you can ski up to so no having to navigate stairs in clunky footwear. Drop off area for skis, quick in and out to purchase tickets, simple walk over to a very large parking area. I can't wait to return when the opportunity arises!

The mountain coaster was the best part, and we only waited a max of 5 min in line, and ended up riding it 6 times. There was a longer line for the Soaring Eagle zipline and Swing, only because they can only hold a few people at a time. The chair lift had nice views. The trampoline was entertaining, but kinda one note. The inflatable obstacle courses were both scalding hot in the sun and had puddles from rain the night before, so my kids didn't like those. I'd recommend Cranmore Adventure Park for 2-3 hours of fun.

I liked that they sent us in with our own group and didn't group us with strangers, but at one point near the end there was an older lady in front of us that appeared out of nowhere, we at first thought she was an actor, but she was just running around screaming randomly and then chit chatting with the actors. This was my second year in a row visiting, and while about 85% of the haunted houses seemed unchanged from last year, the overall production value and spooky atmosphere still make it well worth the drive to Nashua, NH. The set designs, lighting, animatronics, and sound effects across all five haunts are fantastic. The scare actors are super dedicated, stay in character, and do a great job pacing groups out so you actually get the full impact of the scares rather than just trailing behind someone else's jump scare. A few helpful tips & details from my visits: Pro Tip: I'd definitely recommend visiting during opening weekend if you can, as they offer discounted ticket prices of $25 vs. $41 full price. Parking Logistics: If you end up in one of the overflow lots, they run a well-organized school bus shuttle service that gets you back and forth to the main entrance. Photo Op: There are plenty of animatronics in the entranceway and they have an official ticketed one you can check out and decide if you want to purchase. My friend got the 2 pack which included a digital print as well as a physical print I think it was $30. The Dark Ride & Concessions: The Dark Ride ($10 cash only) was broken when we went, so they shut it down while my friends were in line. So this bumps it down by 1/2 a star to 4.5 for the ride breakdown. Once you complete all the haunted houses, it leads right into the concession and souvenir area. Don't skip the non-alcoholic specialty drinks--they change the light (green, blue, or red) to match your flavor and top it off with a fun smoke bubble! Fully Indoors: A huge perk for chilly or rainy October nights since the queue lines and haunts are all inside. Overall, it's a solid, fun Halloween activity especially if you've never been. Prior to this I've been to Connor Farm and the Screemfest in Canobie Lake and the Fright Fest at Six Flags which are more family friendly. You also will save a few dollars too booking online in advance compared to buying at the door in person.

The Dark Woods provides a quality experience in terms of casting, timing, scares, engagement, ambiance, and duration. The casting is the absolute highlight of this attraction. The actors are very engaging, hilarious, and interactive in a way that really personalizes each experience. We laughed the entire way through. They take pacing between parties very seriously. Each party gets the full experience as intended. I had more full jump-start scares than I've had at any haunt, I think. They are very good in their positioning! For $25 - it was priced perfectly. The graveyard was probably my least favorite attraction. Nice props and characters but nothing all that scary. Still entertaining though. Area 52 was actually really fun. You wear 3d glasses and it gives a fun effect when walking through the house. It does make you a little dizzy and makes it hard to determine where everything is (in a good way). Inmate Attraction was also really well done. The whole insane asylum type of feel was well done in this house. Great actors and props again. Lots of fun!
