I ordered the Mom's Special, and unfortunately, it was horrible. The food came out cold, seemingly after sitting for too long. The sausage was burnt and had the texture of something that had been sitting in cold grease. I ordered my eggs over easy, but they came out over well. The potatoes were undercooked, the bacon was burnt, the pancake was undercooked, and the overall presentation was disappointing. The ice also tasted like bad tap water. The service made the experience even worse. The blonde waitress was rude and very slow. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because the restaurant was busy, but after dropping off the food, she never came back to check on us. When I eventually went to complain about the food, her attitude was negative rather than apologetic or helpful. I understand that mistakes happen, especially when a restaurant is busy. What really disappointed me was the combination of poorly prepared food, the long wait, and the attitude when I tried to address the issue. Which just added to the overall disappointment. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. And I don't recommend it for anyone Who likes a nice and clean environment.

This place used to be the weekend breakfast spot. Now, they can barely even cook eggs correctly. The owner, Mary Jane it's absolutely RUDE. The staff, well if they weren't so wrapped up with each other on a personal level they could possibly do their job correctly but they can't even do that. Half the time you see the cooks outside smoking marijuana, and their boss will scream at them to come in, meanwhile she's too busy with her own agenda to care about the restaurant her dad worked so hard to establish. I prefer COOK'N POT in yuba city for sure! One waitress is too busy focusing on what's going on in the kitchen to care, another waitress has been there so long you can she just hates it and she hates life in general. I used to come here weekly, never again. One of the cooks told me she saw a COCKROACH in the dang freezer, and they aren't allowed to call in or take breaks. They are also closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, but I really feel if it was as good as it used to be, they could stay open every day like they used to. All in all, I give them 1 star because that's the lowest I can go, and I hope everyone takes their business to the COOK'N POT in yuba city where they allow integrity in their kitchen. read more

I absolutely love locally owned ma and pa diners and this one may be my favorite I've ever been to. I'm going to miss this place like crazy when I move away. Hands down best French dip I've ever had. It's hard to try other things because I can't resist the French dip. Their salads are jam packed with fresh veggies and their homemade blue cheese dressing is to die for. I haven't seen anything come out of that kitchen that I didn't want to try. Just tried their Rueben the other day and the meat obviously slow cooked for a full day with all the flavor and sprinkled with magic pixie dust. read more

Friendly, quick, and attentive service. A variety of great breakfast/brunch items to choose from. I called in fifteen minutes before we arrive with a group of twenty+ people.
