Great place to stop for a drink on the way to the airport. Likes the atmosphere and bar tender was very nice. Will come back.

We were so excited to see the old bar "The Runway" being revamped. Once it reopened, we stopped by for drinks to try Duke's out. We so wanted this to be a cool bar right around the corner, but it seems to be Runway 2.0 - same awful & rude management. So disappointing. We went in on a late Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't busy at all. We sat in 3 bar stools, because our previous experience at The Runway we never had good service sitting at tables. Five people would walk by and no one would help you until you asked. Even sitting at the bar our first time at Duke's, there were three people who saw us walk in without greeting us, kind of avoiding eye contact. I understand these folks might not be our bartender, but greeting us and letting us know someone will be with us goes a long way. I cant rate the food because after one beer I was done. My beer was cold and dressed right, so there was one positive. read more

Grace did an amazing job keeping up with a constantly moving and changing group of people. The food as always was very good and drinks came at a steady rate. Something to say for a mid town style bar/restaurant on the north side. The food is amazing, the staff is so friendly, the owner is there all the time, and the drive to be great is very commendable. The fries might be the best ever and if you want my recommendation, hangover burger, loaded fries, any wing option and a blackberry marg! Seriously, don't pass up the marg! read more

We too have been waiting for this location to re- open. We were excited to see what the new owners had done to the place. The good : The inside is nicely done and the outside looked like a great place to hang out. My 3 stars are for the food. I got the chicken tenders and a side salad- tenders were so good and the jalapeño ranch topped off my salad, gave it a good kick. We also order led a burger and tots - the burger was huge and full of flavor. On to the bad: we sat for a long time with no one acknowledging us. Went on a Friday afternoon so it was not busy. There were maybe 4 tables and a couple of people at the bar. Two waitresses and what looked like the manager ( hope he wasn't the owner) walked by us. Nothing. Finally after about 10 mins one of waitresses told us we had to wait for our waitress. Very bad business. I mean you just opened!! Do you not want business? We were going to walk out but glad we stayed as the food made up for it, despite ordering my chicken grilled initially, we were ready to eat so I didn't complain. So saw this place on a list of good places to eat near the airport. It was ok. Think typical bar food. Wings, burgers, tater tots. Nothing was bad but nothing really stood out either. The service was good. Definitely a place that I would prefer to visit on a Friday to grab a beer than a place I'd want to go for dinner. We have waited so long for Dukes to open their doors..... well.... it was worth the wait! The food and drink menu was diverse allowing many options for their customers. We enjoyed the Texas Hot Dog with a side of loaded tots, and the Cheese Burger with a side of gorgeous tasting fries! The food was well above the standard for your typical bar food and not to mention the lemonade was ridiculously good, like the best lemonade I have ever had type of good. Our waitress Dotty really made us feel welcome and had such a positive and amazing attitude. It's really nice to be at a restaurant/bar and feel the happiness of the workers They have outdoor seating in the front and the back! The backyard area is pretty unique and brings in a fun atmosphere! Turf, stage, pool table, TWISTER, checkers, jenga, connect four, and other activities that will be very entertaining. The best thing about this place though..... THEY ARE DOG FRIENDLY! .... obviously outdoor areas only, but this just made us so happy! SUCH A GREAT PLACE! read more

Great place to stop and have a drink and great burger on the weekend or on your way home from work. Lots of TV's and huge space inside, with lawn games and a stage. Really disappointed they changed out the cheese sticks, they were amazing and the main reason to go along with there awesome drinks. PLEASE BRING BACK THE EGG ROLL CHEESE STICKS!!!! read more

Been to this place four or five times. I always go at night. So the atmosphere is a little dead at times. But I believe this will be my new go to place when it heats up. They have a back patio that's super nice. The food is great, quick meals. Two step above bar food. But great taste. The price are fair. Bartender have great energy. Right next to the air which is good for me. I alway travel and paying airport prices for food and drinks can be a pain sometimes. Or having a drink while I wait for my family to land. I've been coming to this place for quite a while, but I stopped going when the half ass Bartender name Julie is working . When she works . She sits at the bar as is she's the patron.play on a laptop She plays like she doesn't see you and when you get her attention while sitting there . she say " hey , hi I didn't see you " how you don't see me when you greet me when I can in . So she make me a drink and I order onions rings , have to be honest they are the best !but back to Julie . When she finally makes my drink . It was a great drink , but when I want another I have to try and get her attention and other patrons doing the same thing . When a bartender is working a bar , they should know what they previously made . So I order another drink when I get it it's totally different than the previous drink . So I notify her she's missing the gran Mariner . She then adds it in and I stated to her her , I get this drink everytime I come and she states to me "oh , I thought I was enough for you to come here "‍ I states to here her " you are ok but not all that , I just want to be respected like my patriotism matters" i also stated to her there are 2 other bartenders to does a better job at bartending and being attentive to the customers and she states to me " just come in when they work , julie is most definite racist , never felt so disrespected in Dukes . I definitely felt this vibe from her before so I stopped going doing the day after work , but never again will I patronize this place ! she makes this place look bad read more

Dukes for the win!!! I was in town for an interview and was desperately trying to find a good burger and a beer. THANK GOODNESS I found Dukes! We sat outside and enjoyed a cool breeze while chowing down on a tasty Hangover burger and drinking an ice cold beer. I told our waiter I wanted a good Texas stout and his recommendation was on point! Not only was the food good (especially those fries) but the people at Dukes overwhelmed us with hospitality and good vibes! OMG!!!...THIS IS IT!!!...this spot proved to be absolutely outstanding!! 10 Stars. This was my first visit on 01/03/20. Veronica our server was awesome!!... very friendly & attentive. This place was such a great surprise from the ordinary. And the food absolutely excellent... the best fries EVER!! Appetizers we had Quesadillas & Fried pickles with that jalapeno ranch dressing on the side, both were sooooo, Yummy!. Our meal, ordered the Chicken Tender platter and The Texas Dog, both are a absolute must. Took mine to go, as did not anticipate appetizers size portions to be as large, which was a nice surprise. All meals are generously portioned & oh so delicious. Wonderful atmosphere, extra extra, clean bathrooms, bar setting, & a large outdoor seating area, with fire pit style heat, on those cool evenings. Excellent place for a casual date night or anytime, day or night. Very nice music catering to all musical tastes. You won't regret it. Humble's best kept secret, no more. The best onion rings EVER literally 1000/10. So crunchy and amazing. And don't even get me started on the chicken fried steak!!! So good SO crunchy!! There was a little too much breading for my taste but still 10/10!!! The service was also a tiny bit slow but we came at an odd time. I highly recommend this place!! read more

Loved the environment of this bar, we sat on the patio and it was super cozy and fun. They have a lot of gaming options for guests (like pool tables, bags, & slots) and I get the feeling that their event/band nights would be a lot of fun. They have a wide range of menu options which I always appreciate bc that means there is something for everybody. My only critique is the nachos should be bigger and preferably have the toppings layered rather than thrown on top, this way, the chips on the bottom can have toppings as well. Definitely recommend trying the pretzel(which is a kind of a big deal for me to say bc im not usually a pretzel kind of gal lol) and the southwest egg rolls! read more

We have purchased crawfish at Duke's over the last 4 Fridays. Great on last 4 occasions ., I asked my husband to have it for lunch instead of dinner. When he came home and opened the lid,? It smelt like 100% fish. A lot of the crawfish was already dead before cooking, it was obvious!!! Based on the smell, it was apparent they didn't rinse it. Went in with my family of 6. The food was AMAZING, my husbands beer was cold, the man helping us was so accommodating. My 2 year old fell asleep & he arranged some chairs for her to lay on so we could eat without carrying her! Definitely recommend Dukes! read more

I had heard really great reviews from locals in the area, so I decided to give this place a try. The menu had lots of options to choose from as well as a decent drink selection, but the service and the food were terrible. I'm not sure which one was worse. I got a BLT to go, and by the time I was ready to leave, the blt was soggy. Mind you I had asked for the tomato and mayo to be left off the sandwich to avoid this exact situation. I also tried their signature Dukes Wings, and that too was unsatisfying tasteless. I got their spicy garlic flavor, and they served them to me cold plain....they forgot the sauce completely! The beer was good, but let's be honest it's pretty hard to mess up pouring a beer. The server also had a very snobby attitude when I mentioned that the wings were cold, and she was very slow. I personally would not go back here, and I don't reccomend this place. read more

Love the outdoor area. They have fun outdoor games and just a nice patio. The food was fresh and came out quick. We got the burger and tots. It was delish and no complaints.
