We met friends for dinner and were happy with this place. Our waitress was friendly, great variety on the menu, sample shot was yummy and we liked the atmosphere. My husband and I shared the wings and we had the honey coating with blue cheese and also the ranch dip. Excellent. Our friends got cheeseburger egg rolls, soup, and other items on the menu and everyone was pleased. The salsa and chips were a hit. My husband and I were there for lunch on Saturday. Wasn't too busy. Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted something to drink! Meanwhile, the manager was standing next to the bar, laughing and goofing around with the bartender. I had the chicken wrap and my husband ordered a chicken sandwich his sandwich was cold. Service by Kylie was excellent! Stopped in this old town pub eatery for the first time. Had an hour to kill at the lunch. So I grabbed a beer $7.50 and a veggie plate $9.95. I was asked if I wanted blue cheese or ranch with my veggies and I said how about both! Later I received the bill and there was a two dollar surcharge for the extra small 3 ounce watered down ranch dressing cup. I wouldn't of commented on the dressing had it not been for the fact that: A. They hit me up with a 20% surcharge for the second dressing without telling me. B. Too many restaurants are watering down dressings as well as barbecue sauces these days and it's cheap and unprofessional. But the real kicker came when the young lady told me realizing that I was not happy with the surprise surcharge that I was going to be paying by credit card and they have a 3% surcharge for anybody who plays by Credit card. People this baloney. The reason that merchants except credit cards is for the convenience, safety, and financial risk of accepting cash or checks. So for a merchant to turn around and receive that benefit from you and I paying by credit card and then hit us up with a 3% surcharge for their convenience is totally unacceptable. The majority of merchants share in that 3% surcharge, although they like to blame it on the merchant processor as if they had no choice in the matter. I will never be a patron of this restaurant or any others like them that impose a surcharge when I pay by Credit Credit card. Add insult to injury, I was told that this is on their physical menu as well as their online menu. The menu that I received was four or five pages connected by three metal rings and the only page that I ever saw was the vegetable appetizer page and it turns out that 3% disclaimer is on the very last page of this multi page menu that I never saw. This is unprofessional and needs to be called out. Again, great service by Kylie, but a highly unprofessional approach the business by the owner of this establishment. read more

TLDR: not my first choice. Environment is the highlight. There are lots of seating options and good viewing spots to watch games on TV. Service was a bit slow (especially considering it was a weekday lunch) and food was disappointing. The complimentary popcorn was stale and there was a bug in my water. We tried the muscles as an appetizer which were okay (the breadsticks were great) and then I got the Baja chicken flatbread as my meal. This place has really gone down hill with the food and service. We used to enjoy this place for good food and service but both have declined. The menus are now 3 ring binders or just scan on your phone, the waitress was slow and rude and kept looking at these guys in the corner of the restaurant distracting from our service. Hosted a 70th birthday party at Old Towne on November 28, 2025. Jason, the owner, was so easy and responsive to work with. Melissa and Ella, our waitresses were very friendly, worked hard, and were professional. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The room was decorated beautifully and was clean. The food is good and the service was great! We love going there when they have live music. The one downside is they had Fox News on when we were there. It's quite a divisive show to have on at a bar/restaurant. I was uncomfortable and I'm sure others were as well. How about a more neutral program if any news has to be on? For some odd reason they put marinara on half of my Italian beef. It's like the started making the wrong sandwich and realized half way through that it wasn't supposed to have marinara on it. Local neighborhood pub tucked away off the main drag in "Wasco". Always busy, especially on weekends. Lots of TVs to watch sports and a good crowd of locals of all ages. Cheese curds are excellent and come with both ranch and marinara. I like the blackened chicken sandwich...sometimes a little tough but sometimes very good. Fries are very good and service is good. They also have a popcorn machine which keeps the kids busy. There is also a game room in the back, as well as a room for events like graduation and birthday parties. If you want a local place to get some decent bar food and drinks while watching some games, this is a good go-to. read more

Updating my review from 07/24/2016. We continued to drive from Villa Park for their Sunday Pub burger special. Everytime, the food has been great. Today's meal was the same. We had a terrific server also. I read a note in the menu that starting 11/1/2019, the menu prices will be for cash sales. Non cash payments, i.e. credit cards, will incur an upcharge of 4% Yikes! That's disappointing. So in other words, the restaurant is passing along the transaction fee charged by the credit card, to their restaurant customers. Actually, I can't confirm but I believe the credit card companies charge the restaurants more like a 2% fee rather than a 4% fee. Don't quote me on that. I hope the loyal customers let management know that they are not in favor of this new policy. read more

We went here on a Friday at 11:15 for lunch and found the perfect window seats right away. The atmosphere is cozy, and sports fans are going to love it here. We were greeted promptly and given both the drink menu and extensive food menu. Our server was amazing. She was kind, knowledgeable, and you could tell she enjoyed her job which always helps tremendously! We ordered the Southwest egg rolls for an appetizer, which were superb. They happen to be some of our favorites. I ordered the Angus burger on a pretzel roll (Don't skip their pretzel rolls, they are amazing!), and my husband had the Philly steak and cheese sandwich. Both of our meals came with fries for the side, and there was a large portion. All of our food was served hot, fresh and in a timely manner. Prices were exactly what one would expect from a sports bar and pub. We love this place and are looking forward to going back. read more

We've been to this place several times in the past and never once was I disappointed. I'm kinda picky about chicken wings and the ones I had were an A+. I got some grilled and a batch fried. Both naked with the sauce on the side. They serve a locally owned product by Matt Whiteford who is a pit master and multi award winner on the national level. It is some mighty fine slappin' sauce! I stopped in for a beer only (Stella on draft) at the Old Towne Pub & Eatery, and got suckered in to having the Sunday special, a $5 burger, by the smooth talking and oh so cute waitress, "Nikki." Old Towne has a great bar food menu, with some good innovations, and aesthetically pleasing preparation. They also have beer taps on some of the tables, pour yourself, if you're inclined - the flow is metered and you're charged by the ounce. Wouldn't be able to take Mrs. Burgerdogboy in there, she's pull a Barney (the Simpsons) stunt, lie on the floor with the tap and her mouth wide open! Burgers are 1/2 pound Angus, dressed with tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle; a whole raft of additional toppings and cheeses are available with an up charge. Sandwiches and such are served with a choice of sides from a long list: fries, tots, chips, or chips and salsa. Always one to appreciate the small things in life, I can tell you Old Towne has a great pickle spear. The burger was prepared as ordered, and the beef had great flavor. Wife and I stopped in Saturday afternoon to check our food as we were thinking about booking a small private party here. Staff were very pleasant and attentive however the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a side salad which was supposed to come before our burgers. It came with our burgers. wow more cheese on my salad Than my burger and my "honey mustard" dressing tasted like our mayonnaise. I ordered the house burger medium. My wife ordered the pub burger medium. Both burgers came out extremely well done. Top of my bun was charred black! Both our burgers were the driest, most tasteless hunk of meatloaf we have ever had. Soooo glad we tried the food before booking here. Very disappointing. The worst pub food we've ever had.
