Mother's Ruin in Germantown is a great spot for dinner and drinks or a place to stop before going…read moreout. The whipped feta is definitely a must order. It comes with a lot of bread and is so good. Their smashburger is also really good, and the waffle fries are amazing. The drinks are a highlight too. I loved the skinny margaritas, and the frozen blackberry mule was so good. They have a really nice patio that's perfect for hanging out. The only downside is that I feel like they close the patio/space a little early around 10 PM, and after that the inside gets extremely packed and it's hard to move around. The mozzarella sticks were good, but a lot of them were missing cheese, which was disappointing. Overall, still a really fun spot with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out for a casual dinner or drinks before heading out.

Luckily it was walking distance from one of the trolley stops (Farmers Market). We came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but we were able find a spot. We started with drinks. We then ordered a falafel sandwich with the waffle fries and a queso dip. The fries and the dip were delicious. The falafel sandwich was also good. The service was quick and we picked up a t-shirt on the way out. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

They even accommodated my request for a low table with only a short wait -- and that meant a lot to me. My server was absolutely amazing! I should have gotten her name, but her service was so outstanding that I made sure my tip reflected how much I appreciated her. Now let's talk about the FOOD! I have been on a year-long search for stuffed crab shrimp, and BABY... I finally found them! They were absolutely superb and definitely earned a spot on my A-List for stuffed crab shrimp. And the drink? The Pomegranate Blueberry was sexy, refreshing, and delicious. I had one before dinner and, yes... I ordered another one after dinner. No regrets! The ambiance is what really sold me. It's low-lit, intimate, and sexy, but not so loud that you have to yell across the table or ask people to repeat themselves. You can actually sit back, enjoy your food, and have a real conversation. ‍ This would be a perfect girls' night out or romantic date-night destination. And as a woman traveling solo, I also appreciate the little things -- like being able to find a parking space close to the restaurant. That matters! I felt comfortable and safe here, and I noticed other women enjoying themselves at the bar, which made me feel even more at ease. Great food. Sexy atmosphere. Excellent service. Easy parking. Safe and comfortable. Definitely going on my A-List -- especially for those stuffed crab shrimp! I forgot to mention that my salad was life and I lived it. Gorgonzola Chopped Salad was simply fire.

Before the show at the Grand Ole Opry, we went to Sedona Taphouse for an early dinner. We chose it…read morebecause of the location (it was a short drive from our hotel and en route to the Grand Ole Opry), and it offered gluten-free options. I had a hard time deciding on what to order, as there were so many appetizing dishes. I settled on "Devil's Pass" (chicken and penne pasta tossed in a slightly spicy cream sauce with red onions, red peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, parmesan, and fresh basil), and it was delicious. To drink, I had a white sangria, but it was only so-so. However, I'm giving Sedona Taphouse four stars because the penne was so good! [Yelp collections: Nashville, TN 2026]

A New Neighborhood Favorite!…read more We're exploring our new neighborhood and decided to give 5th & Taylor a try -- and we're so glad we did! From the moment we sat down, everything was fantastic. We started with cocktails, and both the margarita and Greyhound were perfect. Really well balanced, refreshing, and delicious. We shared a few starters, including the beets and the chopped salad. The chopped salad was such a unique presentation and was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, I had the duck, which was phenomenally cooked, while my partner had the braised short ribs -- quite possibly the best short ribs I've ever had! The service was excellent and very attentive without ever feeling overbearing, which made the entire evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. Such a great spot in the neighborhood. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Oh, this place is soooo good and worth the price!…read more I came here for a birthday dinner with a couple of friends and seriously you cannot go wrong with anything you order. We ordered some sausage cheddar biscuits, tomato pie, and bacon wrapped quail as appetizers and they were all delicious especially the tomato pie. Nobody had a bad word to say about entrees either! I ordered a seasonal sea bass dish and it was seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten. My husband got the short rib, and it was really tender and so yummy. If you're looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion this place will not disappoint.
