Tailgate has been around Nashville for a while now and have 7 taprooms in the greater Nashville area. This review is for the headquarters on Charlotte Pike. I believe this is the largest location with a Large Taproom and a Huge dog friendly outdoor dining area. They are a craft brewery and pizzeria. This location has reservation only, guided tours and tastings. They have a large selection of Draft Beers, Ciders, Seltzer, Cocktails and Coffees. They serve Apps, Sammies, Salads, Desserts and Pizzas. They have weekday lunch specials, a Pizza of the month and they offer Vegan/Gluten free crust for an upcharge. They have 3 different Pizza sizes and a Detroit style Deepdish. I gave a 3 star because we ordered regular Bone In Wings, but they gave us Boneless Wings also known as Adult Chicken Nuggets. They named them that for a reason. They weren't great. I didn't complain as for the next reason I gave a 3 star--- It took over 30 minutes to get our food and I was just wanting to eat and get to the house. I will say that we got the Whipped Ricotta Pizza and it was Very good. I will go back at some point because I want to try their Deepdish Pizza and a Craft Beer. read more

In the past month I attended two events in the barn area and was very impressed with the staff's attentiveness and the ease of everything! After my most recent event, my friend and I headed over to the main dining area and split the Whipped Ricotta - so satisfying!!! And, I tried their "Pumpkin Spice Latte" Stout Beer and it paired well!! We were pleasantly surprised it was 50% off pizza night (Wednesdays - dine in only). What's not to love about Tailgate? They genuinely have some of the best pizza in Nashville, their crust and unique toppings always hit the spot. Our gluten free friend said they have some of the best gluten free pies he's ever tried, and they were also Celiac friendly. I've been to a couple of their other spots, but this was my first time at the main HQ--and I loved it. I stopped by last Thursday for their movie night on the massive patio (seriously, it's huge). The vibe was super chill, perfect for summer evenings. The beer, as always, was awesome. If you're not sure what to get, just ask someone on staff--they're really friendly and can help you find your new favorite. We also grabbed some food and went with the Detroit-style salami and ricotta pizza. Total win. Oh, and they sometimes have frozen margaritas, which is just a nice bonus. If you're reading this during summer 2025, they're showing movies every Thursday at 7pm. Great spot for families, date nights, or hanging out with your pup. Tailgate brewery is a popular pizza and brewery however their prices are high for what you get. Their pizza is just okay, the dough could be crisper, but it is made to order which is nice. Their elderberry beer was VERY sour. Almost un-drinkable with an overwhelming elderberry taste and no cherry flavor. The beach was sour too. The only beer we really liked was the dark lager (which was good). They have how to make beer on the walls in bright colors which was nice, but it is extremely loud and echoey. Service was good, and everyone was nice. I may go back but only for a beer, and I wouldn't get the pizza again. read more

Met some friends out back at Tailgate on a movie night. Thursday's at 6 pm, they show a movie out back and last night was Secondhand Lions! It wasn't so loud that we couldn't talk, though. A wedding event was also happening under the big tent. We ordered a flight a ciders, each with intense and delicious flavors. My fav was the Champagne Cider, and Lucky Charms cider. I really wish I never came here, because now I'm going to be craving this place. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to quality of food. A place has to have something special about it. It's so hard to tell sometimes if the food will be good based on photos alone. I really hesitated to order from here yesterday. I ordered the garlic knockers not really knowing what I was getting. I honestly just thought they were regular garlic knots, but boy was I wrong. They were absolutely delicious crunchy goodness. Amazing selection of beer, delicious pizza, and plenty of space to spread out! This is definitely going to be one of my new hang out spots. The inside is full of cool murals and three different rooms to sit in. The outside seating is perfect for a night of spending time under the hanging lights and catching a movie on a Thursday. The beer flight is the perfect way to try out a few options (my favorite was the watermelon margarita), and our pizza couldn't have been more delicious. We ordered the whipped ricotta pizza and it was the perfect balance of sweet light ricotta with savory sausage and pepperoni. It did take about 45 minutes for it to come out, but I'm sure the kitchen was slammed with how busy they were last night. Can't wait to come back and try more of their beers and pizza! read more

Tailgate is more than just your standard brewery. It feels like an art gallery with great beer. The building inside wind out is adorned with murals, artwork that pays homage to guests and the city at large, with a menu there eclectic and has something for everyone. The staff were super welcoming on my first visit. They even offer brewery tours scheduled on the weekends. Don't be stumbled by the question " Indoor or outdoor?" They just want to know if they should give you a plastic cup or traditional glass pour. Either way the beer is amazing there is just no glass on the patio. And it makes sense a dual space both on concrete and land, it's a great place to grab a slice of pizza and catch a game on the big screen. Its options for coffee present an interesting option to work from there if you have that flexibility with work. I love going to the Charlotte location which is the original. They have a huge parking lot and an overflow lot which makes parking very easy. There are lots of tables inside and a beautiful outside with a huge sitting area as well. The Whipped Ricotta pizza is so good with the creamy ricotta cheese toppings. The service is always great. Tailgate has to be the best utilitarian place in the greater Nashville area. I live in Franklin and I can honestly say this is the one place, particularly the headquarters, that I go to every single month. There hasn't been a miss on the monthly pizzas for me since I've been going, which is over a year. The bahn mi pizza this month is good enough to be on the regular menu and so was the oktoberfest pizza from last year. When I had come for the edleys collaboration, the special pizza had just sold out and had instead gotten a balsamic arugula pizza and even that was good. There are like 15 beers to choose from so no matter what you want, it's there. I've taken every guest that's ever come to visit here and everyone likes it. Celebrated this past week at Tailgates fall festival! Huge indoor space with loads of tables and TV's for watching football. Lots of outdoor picnic tables as well shaded from the sun which was great since it was still warm this weekend! So many beers to try, I had the Tailgate Fest and the Blackberry Blonde. Both were pretty good, I definitely liked the Tailgate Fest better. There's food which is onsite which is so awesome! I ordered a small pepperoni pizza that came out piping hot and was the perfect size to hold me over while hanging out. There were long lines when ordering beer and food, but the staff were friendly nonetheless. I love that it's dog friendly so I was able to bring my girl with me! read more

I had a really fun time here! My sister and I went on Halloween and they played Halloweentown on the screens outside! It was a really fun activity for Halloween! A little cold (but we should have come more prepared with blankets like the Brewery advertised ) I ordered their TailGate Cider and it was delicious!! Super fun place! Went with a larger group for dinner after some of us had ran the Nashville Half Marathon (Humble Brag Woohoo). Prior to visiting I had heard mostly that it was a fun vibe with good beer and okay food. But after visiting, I can confirm all but one of those statements. The beer was great! The vibes were great! And the food was pretty good too! I loved that we were able to sit outside and enjoy watching the Denver Nuggets!!! I love Nikola Jokic! One downside to the visit was that there was an engagement party outside and what looked like a high school reunion inside. Man this place was incredible. It was truly happenstance that we came here for lunch since we aren't from the area, but I am so glad we did. The service was AMAZING. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, and kind. The outside seating area is perfect for a nice day, and I so wish we could come back for a fun summer night hang with friends!
