We have been to Teapioca but have not been to this location before. After shopping at HMart, we decided to get boba tea for a refresher. Unfortunately our experience at this place was terrible. The guy employee that was taking our order had a bad attitude and just seems like he didn't want to be there. He was unhelpful when I ask questions about the drinks and was just rush answering without answering. The customer service is seriously lacking and unfortunately it made our experience really bad where we will never return here again. Boba madness: 3/5 nothing special but ok Cantaloupe: 1/5 milky and artificial taste. Do I recommend this place? No. Terrible customer service and the drinks are not good. read more

Another 98 degrees in sunny Austin, TX!!! Yesterday was the perfect day for a cold, refreshing drink. My work took me close to Lakeline Mall, so I decided to pop into Teapioca for a cold drink. Teapioca Lounge is very clean with colorful signage and a big teddy bear sculpture. After entering the lounge my next big decision point was what to buy. There were so many choices: smoothies, cream teas, fruit blends, and milky flurry. Initially, I thought of buying a large glass of tea with lots of ice. Then, I thought a smoothie sounds good also. In addition, they had boa boa tea, which I had not had since living in Washington state. Wow...I thought I would pop in, purchase and pop out. For a few minutes, I was decision-paralyzed and then snapped out of it. Drum roll...final decision: Mango smoothie. It was cold, creamy and soothing going down like a child going down a water slide. This is a good place for a little boba date, plenty if seating as well as some outside seating. The staff is really nice and makes really recommendations and does a good job making your tea to order. It can take a little longer for some teas to brew so if your in a rush just make sure to ask. I usually get the vanilla chai or peach and strawberry green tea with rainbow jelly. The rainbow jelly is great when you just want an extra texture without that much flavor. Condensed milk drizzle is included as a free add on. Staff is nice and polite. The shop is clean and spacious with a high table, high chairs, small tables and benches and a couch in the middle. Check in on Yelp for 10% discount on drinks only, not including Snowyn. Some other locations include a discount on snowyn but not this location. However, there's a catch in Yelp 10% discount. If you order a tea with added flavor, the discount doesn't apply to the flavors, only the drink itself. Be sure to check the discount amount on the POS screen and do a little math in your head to make sure it reflects the 10% discount. The staff today got confused on the Yelp check in discount and applied only $0.49 on an order of $17.35, not sure how, but it got corrected after multiple people were called over. I was craving for some mangonada yesterday evening and came across teapioca, it's nearby to my place, so stopped by, place looked clean, cozy, simple decor. There were just 4-5 people, who were already had there orders served, so was able to order as soon we entered. I asked them to add Chamoy while blending so they did, only complaint is, it should have been blended couple of more minutes because ice cubes were crumbled and each time I take a sip, I had to chew ice cubes which personally I don't like. I like sip it and swallow it like frappe. Next time I will ask them to blend it thoroughly, customer service is good I guess, we grabbed our drink and stayed just for few mins and left so can't say much about service. One of the best things about Teapioca is they're always consistent with quality and have a large variety of choices. You can't go wrong with their boba, lychee jelly and basil seed toppings which are my go to. This past trip we tried their watermelonade and their hibiscus lemonade with boba. The watermelonade was fresh and wasn't overly sweet. The hibiscus was tart but refreshing especially during this heat. Previously I've had their mango snowyn and cream teas. My favorite would probably be the "Art of tea" section where you can customize it and I usually get the white tea with rose flavor. I got the taro smoothie with soy milk and boba, and the total was about $6. The tapioca pearls were really good, but unfortunately the taro smoothie itself was a little underwhelming. I've been here several times, it's usually a good experience, but I will not be back after today. I ordered a Snowyn (shaved ice), I chose the base, I chose the various toppings and syrups I wanted and I paid. I've ordered the same order 3-4 times, with no issue at all. When my order is ready, they inform me they can't add the brown sugar syrup I selected. Mind you, they're not out of the brown sugar syrup topping - it's sitting on the counter behind them - they just "can't" add it to the Snowyn base (taro) that I ordered. I have ordered this combination several times in the past, and they even let me order and pay for it today, but apparently this particular combination is not allowed and necessitated the staff calling a manager to get approval to physically add the syrup (that I had already paid for, mind you) to my order, to which the manager agreed "as a one time exception". The entire setup is for customers to choose a base and then pay for each topping (fruit, jellies, syrups, etc) they would like to add. But I can't add brown sugar syrup to taro? Even though I paid for it... Um, wut?!? Maybe I missed the documentation/signage that says you can't make this combination (I was too dumbfounded to go back and look - I did check the website and do not see this mentioned) but if you've already taken my order AND money, your staff should've made the order as ordered and paid and then informed me that they (the cashier) messed up and in the future I may not be able to order that combination of flavors/toppings. The taro cream drink is pretty good! Not too sweet and pretty fragrant/flavorful. Their boba is also super super soft, which can be a pro or con for some people but personally I didn't mind it. My younger cousins got a strawberry banana smoothie and a chocolate strawberry smoothie and they both enjoyed it. They have two sizes here, regular and large, and their large size is MASSIVE! Like the size of a large slurpee cup. I've never seen a boba shop offer such a large size so that was interesting to see. I tried the regular Mango Green Blastea and large Oolong Cream Blastea. The regular size is 22 oz., while the large is double the size at 44 oz. You can customize your drink with different toppings and sweetness levels after you pick the size, temperature, tea base, and added flavoring. Both drinks I tried tasted fresh in terms of the brewed tea they use, with the added flavoring not overpowering the actual tea flavor. Although I forgot to ask for less sugar, the Mango Green Blastea wasn't overly sweet. The ratio of ice to drink was perfect, with just enough ice to keep the drink cool. So I live very close to this store and often visit chipotle next door. Which picking up chipotle I paid a visit to this place and was very amused with the offering they serve. Pretty much they offer all sorts of virgin drinks under one roof. Smoothies they got it, teas they got it, slushy they got it, coffee they got it. Due to Covid you can't sit and enjoy the drink in there. But no big deal. After looking at the menu I went ahead and ordered this mango volcano drink. It is spiced up just the way I like it. Chunks of mango and thick slush. Was a wholesome drink. My only concern is lot of product you see in there might be canned or frozen. So not fresh unless I am totally wrong.
