Miguel T. Of Dumore did an amazing job installing new windows and fixing the water damaged drywall around them. They look better than I expected! He also retiled our kitchen floor and fixed up our cabinets. About 6 years ago he renovated our bathroom and it still looks great. Will definitely continue to call him for future work. read more

On December 22nd I called and spoke to Steve who said they could help with a half bath remodel, I was hopeful. I was told he had many teams and would have his team lead Deb call me back to schedule a walk-thru. Deb called back immediately, we had a good, positive talk and we set up a visit for the next day. I received a text from Deb very early the next morning to reschedule, putting my start date behind. Deb arrived 3 days later, took a look and told me she would have to talk to her plumber. Three days after that I contacted her for an update. I was told her calendar is too full to help me and good luck. First and foremost, the person who answers the phone should know what their calendar looks like to be able to say if you can help or not. You wasted my time setting up a meeting, rescheduling the meeting and then me tracking you down only to be told you're too busy. It is rude to waste other people's time. read more

I contacted Dumore Construction long before I landed on this Yelp page and I have to admit, I would've never gone with them had I seen the reviews. BUT, I'm really glad I did. After a former contractor had abandoned a half-bathroom project, I was put in touch with project manager Memo and he walked me through what needed to be done and how he would solve the problem of having above-ground plumbing. About one week later, the project was underway; one more week and the whole thing was complete. The whole entire process was the most painless experience I've ever had with any contractor in my entire life, and I deal with a lot of them on a weekly basis. Not only do I recommend them, I would highly suggest reaching out to Memo and having him lead the project you're thinking of doing. Always on time, went way beyond what was necessary to get the project finished in a timely manner, always reachable. I wanted to put up a wall between two units we own in Honolulu . I was referred to Eric to get the job done. I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable and professional he was throughout the process. He was patient with questions and always responsive when I emailed or called him. Very disappointed in the quality of the work. I hired them to do a basic cosmetic flip on a condo. Aside from the unprofessional communication, the overall quality of installation was lacking. In the end, I moved on before the project was over. I replaced nearly everything they installed due to inattention to detail in their work. The only thing I left was the basic kitchen cabinets and cheap closet organizers. The other day I noticed warping in the bottom cabinet from a water leak that they caught and shut off, but let ruin the cabinet. There was also a screw popping through in the interior of another cabinet. And, when my renters were in, the closet organizers literally fell off the wall. Embarrassing. Would not hire again. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe my feelings repaying someone else + materials to fix the project. read more

I just read the other comments for Dumore and can't believe it - my experience was COMPLETELY different! I absolutely LOVE these guys! They took what was truly a nightmare "kitchen" and a mess of an electrical debacle and turned it into something not only dream-worthy but affordable. I interviewed A LOT of people for a kitchen remodel with a budget limitation and Dumore completely and totally worked with me - everyone else said what I wanted was impossible for what I had to work with and every proposal was at least DOUBLE of what our budget was! Memo and Shawn at Dumore really looked at my house's structure and worked with me in terms of "Can I save this wall? Can this other one be torn down? Can I keep my old dual oven?" (so no need for me to HAVE to buy all new appliances - AND to that end, I got to completely pick each and every one of them: you buy them, they install them - so no one ever pressured me to get specific brands or chose for me). I had no problem getting an appointment for an estimate and everyone I dealt with was friendly, down-to-earth and personable. What I really appreciated about Dumore was the freedom and flexibility to choose; they listened to, responded to and worked with my ideas and the guys always had a positive "Let's see what we can do" attitude (vs. a "Nope, not happening, not gonna work, can't see it/can't do it" response). They worked hard, the quality of work is awesome and I know where all my stuff came from (Home Depot, C&C Cabinets, Lowes). I wasn't under any time frame or pressure to get the job done (and didn't care how long it would take) so meeting deadlines wasn't an issue but I love these guys and am DEFINITELY getting them back for other work! read more

Sales people are pushy. Jus because I interviewed them they think they hired like they the only game in town. They never even gave me a proposal. Typical sales tactics saying ill be taken off their project list if we dnt act now. Then the next day begging for our business by lowering their price. Started off really well til about half way through the project. Project manager started leaving his electrician in charge of the project. We were remodelling our condo. I was very dissapointed as the guys were really nice people. The finishing work was a disaster. Not everything that we paid for was completed. There was never a final walk through as promised. They concreted the lanai and as soon as I realized they had not covered the new sliding doors, I immediately said....'can you please clean that before it dries'.......response: "don't worry, it comes off easily and we'll clean up at the end"......needless to say, I had to clean up dried concrete from new installed sliding doors - still trying to get it off. I also had to clean up all their mess inside the house. They never lay plastic covers on the vinyl planks/laminate flooring they installed throughout our condo and it took me days to get paint and dirt out of the grooves of the planks. The finishing work was not up to standard at all and of course the write up from the owner about not having to manage sub contractors..............well, we were definitely managing eveything because if we didn't point out what they were doing wrong, they would just leave it and try to cover up their mistakes. There was a lot of damage to the new kitchen cabinets they installed. Me and my husband were so tired of it we finally just let them walk away. One more thing......on the last day the workers were there, I found out they were not being paid to help clean up.....this was their mess not mine..............I felt so sorry for them that I paid them out of my pocket. DO NOT USE THEM. Nice people but I'm sorry, we spent a fortune of money for this and the quality is nowhere near up to par. read more

Like many of the recent posts we contacted Dumore without reviewing them on Yelp and were very glad we did it that way. We asked them about the previous reviews and they mentioned they had made personnel changes to address them. The personnel we worked with were definitely outstanding. Deb was always checking in to see how things were going and Isaac did an outstanding job with the work. The two of them were phenomenal. They did the little things that aren't required but really make the difference. For instance we have two little ones and needed a working sink for bottles. Normally not an issue unless you remodel the kitchen and both baths at the same time! Deb went out and found a small sink/pedestal which Isaac installed for us while we waited on the cabinet installation. Actually, the cabinets were the only negative as the two gentlemen from Golden's were a bit rough with the installation. Fortunately Isaac was there again to fix the dings in the walls! Definitely recommend Dumore. read more
