Bao Buns with chicken Medium Rare, burnt lonley single scallion pancake soggy fried dumplings
    Justin N.

Oh no.. the time has come, guys. You can check my profile and see I always keep it positive in my reviews, but this place is a waste of time and money . Another "ghost kitchen" nightmare. Menu sounded solid, so we were super excited to order. But when the food arrived we realized we should have just cooked dinner ourselves Bao buns looked great, but the chicken was pink. Really guys!?!... Then the poor scallion pancake, yes you only get one for 6 dollars. And they didn't even bother to cut it. They just burned it on one side and sent it out, nice and soggy. All real foodies know you can buy a whole bag of these yummy discs for 5 bucks and they fry up nice and easy...but not tonight Another low blow were the dumplings, we ordered fried but they seemed to have barely kissed the pan. Maybe they didn't have enough time. Only yummy bite was the Korean noodles The sauce was spicy and yummy, but the poor pieces of beef included were not invited to the flavor party. Meat was tough as a math teacher. And so bland so so sooo bland. poor cow waisted his life for that? Save your money guys. This review didn't feel good but the truth will set you free. dumplingAF is grossAF

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but this is an absolute hidden gem that I am so excited to go back to! This restaurant offers a huge selection of dumplings, from fried to steamed with vegetarian fillings, seafood and meat fillings. Their dumplings are homemade within the restaurant and you can taste how fresh they are! They also have an amazing sake selection with some of the best sake I have ever tasted in my life. For dessert, mochi ice creams were on offer (some of my absolute favourites) so I was very happy with that too! In general, dumpling menus tend to be very meat heavy and, as I am kosher, this can be restricting for me. However, I found although I couldn't try the entire menu selection, that I could definitely find more than enough to eat here and I really enjoyed all the food.

Yum. I always order from UBEREATS when they have buy one get one then I add a few extra things. But OMG! Best dumplings! So meaty! Not skimpy. And the scallion pancakes are so good too! I love the cheese dumplings as well! I love that they change what they offer on the buy one so I try their different types that way! In a few weeks my kids will be visiting and I can't wait to order from here and share with them!

This place is so freaking good. You are missing out if you haven't been here yet. My boyfriend and I tried this place at the farmers market before they had the restaurant. Once we saw that they opened up a place, we went right away. They have the most amazing dumplings. We love dumplings and it's so hard to find good dumplings in South Florida but this guy knows about all the dumplings from different cultures. All the dumplings are freshly made and they also have really good crab Rangoons and noodles on their menu.

Sitting at a table in the cute clean little spot that's somewhat hard to find. The place is by the pool at the Knights Inn on Hallendale beach Blvd. Don't miss this place. I have eaten dumplings all over the world and most don't hold a candle to this place. Not only is food very tasty and fresh.it is a very comfortable place to enjoy a meal.

Cute new table tops. Smiling back at you

Ask the Community - Dumpling AF

Hi, where are you located? I used Google maps to find you and it kept taking me to a school. I drove around but could not see a restaurant/entrance or anything. Can you tell me how to find your restaurant please?

Hello. We are located behind the school but we are not a dine-in restaurant. We are a ghost kitchen doing pick-up and delivery only. You can place an order online at www.dumplingAF.com

Did you move from the hotel in hallendale? Do you still sell homemade ice cream?

Hello. We have moved to a ghost kitchen in Hollywood and do free delivery. Unfortunately we no longer do ice cream.

    Is there indoor dining?

    Sorry, no indoor dining.

Inside, there are a lot of tables and in talking with my friends and the staff, it can get crazy busy, especially on weekends. But it wasn't too bad on a weekday early afternoon. We went for dim sum; they give you a menu with pictures and names, and a piece of paper to mark on what items you would like. Sometimes they'll names don't quite match but it's not too bad. They bring them from the kitchen when it's ready One tip for you: it's easy to over order, so you might order a smaller number of things and see how it goes, and order more later. Anyway, they have very many seafood and veggie dishes, which suits me just fine. And the waitress was making sure to point out what dishes had meat in them as she brought them to the table. That was very considerate. The price point for each item is on the high side, but the quantity is good. But of course it adds up in a hurry (another reason to see my tip about over ordering!) All in all, a pleasant meal and I was full when I left.

The restaurant feels very authentic to how Chinese restaurants are, the restaurant has a fish tank at the entrance which is very on brand and over all it's a pretty casual space. The food is really good and there are so many items on the menu, that I definitely recommend coming with a few people so you can try all the things you want without it being way too much food. There are a few waiters/waitresses and they all attentive. Even though one person takes the order, the other servers may bring your food, get you another drink, or clear things off of your table. This is also another restaurant I will definitely be back to and highly recommend, especially if you're looking for Dim Sum in Pines.

Keep in mind, the actual big sign to this place says "Wong's" but I found out that Yip just opened on 10.08.22 and they are waiting for their official Yip sign. This is a tiny location that accommodates takeout and delivery orders only. There is not seating with tables & chairs. There is one bench out in front you can sit down and eat at but other than that, it's a quick order and go kind of place. We've been to the Yip at 1-800-Lucky in Wynwood and the Yip in Aventura. Super stoked for this new location as it's more local. They had us at YIP and dumplings. The prices are fair and not super crazy for the dim sum options. They also offer Peking Duck, wings, fried rice, lo mein, soups and other options. We were here yesterday when we found out about Yip but went to dinner at Leafy. Today the kids wanted soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings. So guess where we ended up? You already know the answer. Got har gao (shrimp dumplings, pork xiao long Bao (soup dumplings) and cha siu bao bbq pork buns. The soup dumplings were legit but man I have a hard time comparing everyone's soup dumplings to Din Tai Ding's super thin soup dumpling skin. That does it for me. The kids seemed to really enjoy most of the items ordered today, so we have happy kids over here! The shrimp dumpling skin is way too thick. The kids didn't love it as much. They really enjoyed the soup dumplings best and then the bbq pork buns. Want to try other items on menu. Go see Jamie and tell her we sent you. She comes from the 1-800-Lucky location so this is a nice and quiet change of ambiance for her. Ha. In case you didn't know too, Yip is also owned by Gold Marquess in Pembroke Pines, which is our favorite dim sum spot in town. Woohoo! By the way, no cash accepted here so be prepared.

I was so excited to finally make a visit! Like others have said, Theres a garage or you can park on the street. It was $3.75ish/hr on the street. I'm not sure how much the garage was. We came right at opening and there was already people there! We took a Quick Look at the menu outside. It's at the bottom floor of the garage and the plaza looks like it's in a subway station. It reminded me of Japan! They chose a great spot. It was well thought out. The art, walls, plates were so aesthetic. Services was great as well! I had to start with the classic Japanese food. Although I did want to try everything. Started off with the JFC. It was perfect! Perfectly fried and had just enough sauce. The marinade was perfect. The crisp-perfect. I love that they used chicken thigh. It was a perfect start. It was nice because they waited for us to finish our appetizer before bringing out our entrees and that's never done at a lot of restaurants anymore. I'll start off with the disappointment. I ordered the tonkatsu for myself. I was shocked at how burnt it was. And how disappointed I was that they allowed it to be served to me. It was very dry on the inside. And the whole dish wasnt as piping hot as the karaage was. Kinda like it was sitting on the pass waiting for the ramen to be done maybe? I wouldn't have mind if it was lukewarm if it wasn't burnt. That really bothered me. Not something I expected so early on in the day. But I ate it. It was hard to chew because it was dry. This was my only complaint. I wouldn't suggest ordering this dish. I liked the details. How the cabbage and carrots were cut. I liked the Japanese rice too. I could tell it was Japanese rice. It reminded me of going to mt Fuji when we went to a restaurant there that had the mt Fuji rice. It was perfectly cooked. Not soggy or hard. My partner had the house ramen-ichimora. It. Was. The. Best. Ramen. I've. Had. In awhile. lol. It used to be Momosan but went down hill about 2 years ago. They ended up shutting down this year. Anyway, back to the ramen. It wasn't as thick as Momosan (I like thick broth). But I liked this one too! They are both different broths. The meats were very very tender. Noodles weren't Al dente. But overall loved it. You won't find another broth like that in florida. Another thing I'd like to mention was the plates with good portions. Which I haven't seen done in a loooong time. We were stuffed! Next time I'd like to try their sushi and hopefully bentos for lunch because I miss going to Japanese restaurants that have the bento boxes.

The Roast BBQ pork buns and the Peking duck buns were delicious. Just the right amount of sauce to add flavor without being overpowering. The pork and shrimp siu mai were flavorful. The pork dumplings were deep fried, not pan fried as I expected. Because of this, the filling inside was dry, but the sauce helped overcome this. The texture difference between the crispy dumpling and the soft inside was unexpected. The Har Gao Crystal Shrimp Dumplings were just OK. Without the sauce, it didn't have much flavor. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were crispy and the sweet and sour sauce was the perfect complement. The Dan Dan noodles was the only part of our dinner we didn't enjoy.
