The pork bun was juicy and delicious with a crispy bottom and fluffy light and soft bun on top, served fresh and hot. Ginger noodles were excellent and light. Service is prompt and friendly. Once we walked in we were welcomed by a calming presence and a very clean atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, Jenny was our waitress and she went above and beyond. The water was very refreshing. Our food came out within 5 minutes piping hot! The combo noodles and chicken noodles were so flavorful and we had enough leftovers for another meal. The potstickers were loaded with flavor and the sauces just elevated it even more. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh! Definitely a 10 star experience! Looking for a place to have lunch but didn't want to go out of our way on our way to New Orleans from Houston. Close to I10 east , we took a chance not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband got a dumpling soup and I got Kung pao shrimp. We both loved our dishes which were generously proportioned. The dumplings in his soup were delicious and the shrimp in my dish were big and succulent. The service good and atmosphere upscale. A good experience! read more

I was really surprised to find this authentic Chinese dumpling and bao restaurant in the middle of Baytown. Their quality rivals the restaurants in Chinatown in Houston and the service and atmosphere was loads better. We ordered the chicken and eggplant, fried pork dumplings and soup dumplings. The soup dumplings were a bit small and not as good as others I've had. But the pork dumplings made up for it. So juicy and filled with meat. The eggplant and chicken came out sizzling hot and was so flavorful. To top it off we had the cream piggie baos which were adorable and tasty. Yes, dumplings are featured in the title, and it would make sense to order some on my first visit here. However, the menu had many interesting items. I ordered the shrimp eggplant with garlic sauce. So delicious! Just the right amount of spice. I have eaten this at multiple restaurants. Definitely top 3. Also, got steam vegetable buns. Excellent! I will be returning to try the dumplings. I have been to Asia and I have to day this is as close to there as you can come. It is a unique restaurant that we stumbled upon heading home from a trip. There was a lady in a glass enclosed room viewable to the patrons who was hand making all of the different dumplings and other things as well. The noodles are all hand made too. The food was accompanied with each a different sauce that went well with the item it came with. We ordered so much of everything to try and have no complaints at all. It was all delicious. The food is incredibly delicious!! My favorite appetizer is the cream puffs and favorite meal is the cumin lamb. The soup dumplings are freshly made and savory. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Baytown. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to receiving a bit of attitude from the server with glasses and curly hair. read more

I ordered take-out over the phone. The staff were very helpful with answering any questions. My friend is vegan, so I asked if they offered any vegan options and they do! She got the steamed veggie dumplings and they were yummy! I got the I got the pork wonton dumplings with chili oil and the spicy edamame. As a Chinese-Vietnamese American who's eaten thousands of dumplings and wontons in their lifetime, this place 100% AUTHENTIC. I'm honestly surprised that such a delicious Chinese restaurant is nestled in Baytown and not in Bellaire Blvd (aka Chinatown). What a huge win for the city of Baytown. I brought my American/Texan father in law here who's never ventured into Asian food (period) and even HE really enjoyed the wontons and dumplings. Excellent experience! I've been to Trendy Dumpling in Houston and this was way better. The owner was so warm and welcoming. Me and my husband have 3 kids and she lifted one of my boys up so he could see the dumplings being made from scratch. The waitress walked us through the menu and it was obvious she had tried everything she recommended. We had the Beijing pork with bun, the steam pork bao, lo mein, juicy pork buns. As if that wasn't delicious enough, the owner surprised my boys with these precious dessert dumplings that looked like little piglets. We will definitely be back! Stop what you doing and try this place out. They have SOUP DUMPLINGS!!! Like legit soup dumplings that are made in house. All of their dumpling are hand made. You can watch them prepare all the dumplings in the preparation station viewing area. The menu items have changed since opening. Service is quick and has been friendly the few times we went. Overall if you want good dumplings without traveling info into downtown houston give them a shot. The spicy cucumbers is a great appetizer if you are into that. Very Welcoming Staff and our waitress Gianna was super sweet and attentive. Highly recommend spicy cucumber, soup boa, and Mongolian beef. The restaurant was well decorated and has a view of the chefs make the dumplings and food. The small downside is that the Green Onion Pancake was a bit oily for me. The people at Dumpling Time may have fooled all these uncultured people that have never had a dumpling in their life, but they haven't fooled me. Average-tasting food at best. Their most popular item - pan fried pork buns - did not have a lot of filling. They were overly greasy and small. High prices. Long wait for a server to come to our table. I had to get a server's attention just to be served. Minimal service provided throughout entire time. No utensils or napkins provided. No hand soap or toilet paper in the restrooms. Toilets were clogged. Restroom door doesn't have a door stopper, so it slams throughout the whole restaurant. They need to shut down the restaurant, get trained in customer service and restroom maintenance, and then reopen. Any enlightened person that has been to Houston's Chinatown will know the difference. Uncultured simpletons will love it. read more

The flavor profile was on point and the serving was ample in portion. The restaurant has a daily special of a plate with fried rice and entrée an eggroll and a drink for $11.99. A very reasonable price for the ample portion that you get. I will likely be getting three maybe four meals out of this one dish. The restaurant is an older restaurant, but it appears to be clean and well maintained. I'm not sure what the other concerns were about beyond what they wrote, but my experience was completely different. I will definitely be going back and I would recommend this place for others to try.

I felt bad but it was so unsanitary. For starters. The servers are on their phones eating while serving and allllll touching the same disgusting door to enter and exit the kitchen. You can see so many nasty splatter marks on the door I was appalled. The chef (what I assume) then walked out. Used the restroom with an apron on, and then when I seen him remove it he was covered in paint covered clothing as if he just left a drywall job. I didn't take any photos unfortunately. I wish I wore my meta glasses to show you just how. Haptic and nasty it was

I just wasn't feeling like anything fried. It would have been nice to know that the shrimp was fried. However; that is where my disappointment ends. This dish was so delicious and I'm actually glad to have tried it. Everything tasted fresh. The fried rice actually complimented this dish nicely. Although it wasn't what I was in search for, it was pretty decent.
