The food was very good. I had the California chicken wrap w blackened chicken. It was very flavorful and so much chicken in it that I could only eat half of it. Sweet potato waffle fries were a bit overcooked and one big mound stuck together. My husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak. I heard high compliments on the sweet tea. Free ice cream was nice. Visited yesterday the food was great. The portions are large. The pipeline platter is huge it's worth it. Buffalo wings aren't spicy but they're tasty. The chicken fried steak was tender and crispy topped with white gravy. The grilled chicken was tender, juicy and it doesn't make you feel stuffed. We had sweet tea and sprite. Service is good, Food is amazing, and place was nice, they have music but really low and you are able to have a good conversation without shouting. The Buffalo burger is huuge and delicious!! A little bit pricey, for 3 items we paid like $65. The pizzas take a while to come out but its worth the wait since they are really good! I visited this restaurant while vacationing from San Antonio. The Pipeline was highly recommended by every local person I met. My friend and I decided to stop in and grab lunch. As soon as I hit the door, I smelled Clorox...some may consider that a bad thing, to me it indicated somebody's been cleaning. The young ladies at the door were friendly, we were seated promptly, our server was quick and very attentive and the food was good as hell. (LOL, as hell)! The salad was crispy and the pizza was the best I've ever had (crust not to thick...not too thin and the toppings were fresh and tasty with just enough yummy cheese and sauce). I was impressed and it takes quite a bit to do that where I am concerned. Try it and you'll definitely enjoy it. read more

Easy access from Interstate 10. Perfect place to grab a bite or a drink before or after the hustle of Houston. Perfect experience, would go back daily! Although they do have a full menu, I opted to try one of their pizzas. It was great! One of the best that I've had. Service was exceptional. The restaurant atmosphere was an amazing "steampunk" look with a ton of oil industry memorabilia. Also, it was one of the cleanest places I've been, restrooms included. I should mention that it also has a full service bar. I'm pretty sure that I saw about 30 beers on tap. I will definitely swing by on my next trip through Baytown. read more

When we come to Baytown, we always feel it's important to go to Pipeline. For years they've had some of the best chicken fried steak we've ever had, and that's coming from native Texans. When we went recently, it seemed the service had changed slightly. Longer waits for food, wrong items delivered, things like that. Unfortunately, the one in La Porte closed down from being bought out, so we went to try this one in Baytown. The food is still great quality, however their daily specials are lacking comparatively. Service was great, food was amazing, and servings are big. You can't go wrong with almost anything on their menu, though I wouldn't recommend the steak fingers with potato. The interior was decorated well with gas and pipeline decor and surprisingly not too loud, even during rush hour. Even though we miss the big 'ol Sinclair dino in La Porte, I think this place is just as great. read more

We came to the Pipeline after a graduation. I doubt that we will be returning. Let me say that our service was FANTASTIC. We had a large family party and in this party there were very particular requests made. Our main waitress was extremely attentive and on top of our table. She made sure our drinks stayed full and we got what we ordered. Now, what we ordered on the other hand. Say for instance the kids grilled cheese. Why is the kids grilled cheese on such thick bread? Probably one of the better restaurants in Baytown but the service from the wait-staff is always a hit or miss. The last few times I've been, it has been a miss. Today we came in for a Christmas Eve dinner. I'm so thankful they were open but I almost wish we would have just gone to Denny's or IHOP. We were seated right away and then waited for approximately 10 minutes for our waiter, Phillip, to stop talking to the other staff and take our drink orders. By that time, we had already decided what we wanted to eat. He made a cute little joke about it that none of us found funny. He returned with one of our drinks and we waited for the two beers for another 5 minutes. I could tell this was going to be a long dinner experience and not in a good way. We decided on two orders of the chicken salad sandwiches with sweet potato fries and then the 12 grilled shrimp platter with fries. The chicken salad was actually pretty great. It had just the right amount of mayo, nuts and vegetables and the wheat bun was toasted perfectly. My sweet potato fries were crispy and hot to the touch, which is how they should be. My husband abhorred his shrimp dish as the shrimp were overcooked and had to be pulled from the tail with a knife and a fork. We didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for a meal or he would have sent them back. I've also had the chicken fried chicken here with the loaded mashed potatoes and although extremely unhealthy, it is DELICIOUS. The brick-oven pizza is also fantastic. Skip the fish here. Frozen fish that tastes like it's been microwaved in a tub of butter. Today while we were eating and waiting for the slowest waiter ever, we heard another staff member named "Corey" bragging about how she could have changed her tip amount from 10$ to 100$ because the woman she waited on was elderly. She said she decided not to because the woman "may have to buy last minute Christmas gifts". Mind you, she was seated directly behind us talking to a hostess. Classy. So I made sure to write my tip amount twice. And I'll be checking my bank account for sure. Like I said, Pipeline is a hit or miss and we've actually had better service and food at the La Porte location but the pizza is great and we really enjoy the nice selection of local craft beers. read more

The menu is actually diverse, and simple. American food, and pizza. Quality is good and prices are fair. The service is where things get dicey, it has some inconsistencies. Usually a restaurant will set a standard for its servers. I have had a wide range of severs from, be patient and wait to helicopter severs that won't go away. The food, I'd good! I usually order the ribeye with onions rings and jambalaya. The black and blue burger is good too. The pizza is great, if you like green olives, ask them to steal some from the bar! The atmosphere is industrial, leaning on old petroleum orbs from gas stations and refineries. To be fair, most places have some issues, I have been here a lot, the food is that good. read more
