    XLB not the greatest

Dumpling Time has a great outdoor setup, which honestly ended up being the best part of the experience. I wish the food was what stood out, but it fell short. The braised beef noodle soup was the most flavorful dish, maybe even a little too strong at times. The pork buns were decent and probably my second favorite. We came for the xiao long bao, and they were underwhelming. They were small, a bit flat, and just okay tasting. They came in little aluminum cups inside the steamer. Maybe that what made them soggy? Service was also on the slow side. We had to flag someone down a few times, even just to get the check. Overall, not very impressive, especially for a place that seems like it should be better.

It gets quite busy on the weekends, so you might have a wait during prime time. HOWEVER, the wait doesn't matter for me because there are plenty of seating on 4th street and open benches for a great afternoon take out meal! Dumpling time is a bit pricey for what it is, maybe due to the trendiness. It's good, not great and should be cheaper imo. I really enjoy the Chili Pork Dumplings and the Lamb Dumplings. The lamb dumplings come with a green onion oil which has great flavor, but they also include a side of the chili sauce which I love adding to it as well. I stopped getting the XLB here because it's flimsy and always comes apart with the soup getting everywhere.

What a fun, quick dumpling spot! Dumpling Time is a small, convenient spot serving dumplings, noodle soups, and bao buns in a quaint setting. Parking is pretty easy to find with spots and lots around there. With both an inside and outside there's some flexibility in seating options and we chose to sit outside with our dog, which was a huge plus. Service was good but we did have to flag them down twice for things. For food we got some beef noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, and bbq pork bao. All were good and surprisingly filling considering the portion sizes. The beef noodle soup in particular was nice to slurp down on a lukewarm afternoon and had a nice deep flavor to the broth. The soup dumplings were also standouts being tasty and with a nice texture to the dumpling itself. This is a good spot to come out with friends to or just have a casual meal. Everyone liked their food and we were more than satisfied after we finished up.

My cousin and I came here for lunch on a Friday. We were seated immediately since there were few people. We got our menus and water soon after. We ordered green beans, shrimp toast, lobster shui mai, and spicy chicken wings. The food came quickly. The green beans were fresh and nicely seasoned. The shrimp toast was interesting. It was a long deep fried Asian donut with shrimp embedded in. It came with a pleasant sauce. A bit bland to my taste. The lobster shui mai did not taste of lobster. The spicy chicken wings were very nicely fried and coated with a spicy sauce. The service was okay. The server threw the receipt at me. The other wait staff were fine, however. It was fairly expensive for what we ordered.

The restaurant was quite busy on a weekend so we decided to take food to go since it was nice outside. 4th Street has a lot of benches and tables so it was a perfect day for a meal outside. Overall I thought the prices were a bit too high. The lamb dumplings were juicy but beware if you're not used to lamb's gaminess I would say avoid the lamb. The chilip ork dumplings were very sauce and had a good kick.

Surprisingly quick, even though the location can get very busy at times. I came in when in need of a quick bite before work in the area, and was able to have a full, freshly cooked meal in under 30 minutes. Dumpling Time has super cute branding, and the location truly is a world unto itself. You can see chefs preparing meals behind glass, and they have good music and music videos that play. The staff is attentive and quick, so know what you want. Not as upscale a spot to dine, but cute and casual. Think, friends for lunch on a weekend shopping trip, not so much impress your first date vibes. Effective, simple and easy.

Good cha siu bao but $4/bao

I would have to say the pork gyoza was the best I have ever eaten, outside of the ones I make, and that includes Japan. Really delicious and perfectly executed. BUT, $2.40/gyoza is ridiculously pricy as well as $4/bao. Pork is inexpensive so really can't justify the cost. Especially because gyoza are really easy and fun to make at home and your cost would be $0.40/pork gyoza. The fancy presentation is just cornstarch and water. You could make a Maine lobster or Kobe beef gyoza at home for about $2.50/gyoza but I wouldn't. Asian dumplings aren't expensive haute cuisine prepared by classically trained chefs. They are affordable comfort food for every day people. On the upside, the service is good and it's dog friendly. I won't be eating here again.

I've dined here twice and the first experience along with the food were better the first time. I've tried a variety of items including Green Beans, Xiao Long Bao, Fried Rice, Scallion Noodles, Chicken Gyoza, Pork Gyoza, and Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wings. The Green Beans, Sweet & Spicy Chicken Wings and Fries Rice are my favorites so far.The prices are a bit steep for the portion sizes. The service is quick and friendly, however there was a slight hiccup on my second visit when our waitresses shift ended and we were abandoned for at least 30 minutes. This restaurant does have indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating is perfect when the sun is shining.

Cute little restaurant. Service was good. The food was hit or miss. Best thing on the menu is Veggie Spring Rolls. I really liked the noodles too. I'd eat it again.

Wow this place is impressive. Myself and my gf had the sampler, har gow, noodles & Fried egg, edamame, fried rice and omg everything was so fresh and the staff was attentive to say I was impressed is an understatement. The restaurant had a fairly small dining area enough for maybe 40 people. I could hear the chatter in the kitchen and the staff working well together to bring this dumpling house to life. I will. Definitely be coming back here with family and friends. Some recommendations I have are: - Har Gow shrimp dumpling - the everything sampler & the fried rice Ill update this review as I try more things from this Great gem in the Berkeley area

    Lamb Dumplings
    Crystal L.

Came on a busy afternoon and there was a small wait of 5 min. I got: (7/10) Lamb dumpling w/ hot and sour soup: The dumplings were not bad and so was the "soup". My biggest issue was that it wasn't actually soup it was just sauce with how little they gave. The picture I have is all the soup they gave. Service was fine and standard for a fast casual chain. Restaurant was loud, they also kept the doors open to the outside. I just don't think it was worth how much I paid for one item (around $25 including tax and tip).

Some tables get iPads to order, others paper menus to mark off and submit--not sure if there's a method to which table gets what. iPad ordering makes things really easy, especially if you decide to order more food. I originally came to Fusion Delight because of the purple interior…read more Seriously. The giant lotus chandeliers, the deep violet lighting, the old-school banquet hall atmosphere - it immediately reminded me of the large Cantonese restaurants that used to define family dining in the Bay Area years ago. But after eating here during a packed weekend dinner service, I realized the real attraction is not the decor. It is the operational consistency. The dining room was completely full, with a long line of people still waiting outside. Under that kind of pressure, many large Chinese restaurants start losing control somewhere: fried dishes soften, stir-fries lose wok hei, food arrives unevenly, service becomes rushed. Fusion Delight somehow keeps the system together. And what impressed me even more was that the staff never became impatient. Even with the restaurant running at full capacity, the servers stayed friendly, patient, and organized. No chaos, no attitude - just steady service under pressure. That is not easy in a restaurant this size. The Mongolian beef was the first thing that stood out. Instead of thin slices hidden under sauce, the beef here is cut unusually thick and long - some pieces nearly two inches. Thick-cut beef is risky because once overcooked it immediately turns tough, but here the meat stayed tender while still carrying proper wok sear and caramelization. That tells me the kitchen understands heat control and timing. The crispy pork intestines were even more impressive. These were clearly braised first, then fried before the final stir-fry. The outside kept its gelatin-rich texture while the inside still carried fat and aroma, but without the unpleasant odor that ruins this dish at weaker restaurants. Even people who normally avoid intestine dishes could probably eat this version comfortably. That level of cleaning and pre-processing matters. The braised lamb with skin was another old-school banquet dish done correctly. The lamb was soft without collapsing, while the skin still retained structure. More importantly, the prep work was meticulous -- no gamey smell, no rough trimming, no shortcuts. The sea cucumber and pork tendon dish also showed strong banquet-kitchen fundamentals. The pork tendon had clearly been oil-expanded beforehand, giving it that proper soft and elastic texture instead of rubbery chewiness. The sea cucumber still retained bite and structure. The Singapore-style rice noodles and scallop egg white fried rice were textbook Cantonese banquet staples. The rice noodles stayed dry and separated while still carrying wok aroma and oil fragrance. The scallop egg white fried rice looked simple, but every grain remained distinct and lightly coated without clumping together. That level of consistency under volume is difficult. Even the red bean dessert soup at the end was handled carefully. The red beans still held their shape instead of dissolving into paste, while the sago remained fully intact and translucent. Most restaurants stop caring once dessert leaves the kitchen. Fusion Delight clearly does not. And honestly, that may be the best way to describe this restaurant overall. Fusion Delight is not trying to be trendy. It is not trying to become minimalist fine dining. It is not trying to be social-media bait. This is a high-volume Chinese banquet restaurant operating with old-school Cantonese production discipline. Hot food arrives hot. Fried dishes stay crisp. Wok hei survives peak hours. Plating still looks intentional during a packed dinner service. That kind of consistency is harder than people think. And somehow, inside a giant purple dining room filled wall-to-wall with families, they make it work. - Dr. C Purple room approved. Wok heat calibrated. Banquet discipline detected. Consistency at scale = correct.

I reserved for three to sit in the main dining room. The next day we arrived right on time for our reservation and still had to wait about 10-15 minutes and was asked if we could sit outside and then we were seated upstairs. I was a little bummed we didn't get to sit in the lower dining room like I booked on our reservations. It was still cute upstairs and good company always makes brunch even better. The servers were quick and helpful. I wanted something light so I just ordered the chicken and waffle bites. My husband got French toast and a side of chicken and my friend got a main entrée of a sandwich with some fries and a little soup. All of the food that came out looked amazing even at other people's tables. For brunch, the price is a little pricey, but I would like to come back to try other entrées when I'm more hungry. We asked one of our servers if he had a light as I brought a little candle to celebrate my friend's birthday, and as he lit it, he also decided to join in with us as we sang happy birthday, which I thought was really sweet. Our total for 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $60 before tip. We ordered two drinks (orange juice and an iced mocha) which were provided promptly. The orange juice was a little too sour and my mom had to add some sugar to improve the taste. The iced mocha was good, not too sweet. One thing to note the wait for our food took much longer than expected, and it may have been due to how busy it was. My mom opted to order the salmon yuzu benedict and I got an egg plate (scrambled eggs) with a side green salad. My mom mentioned the potatoes lacking salt but she enjoyed the salmon benedict. I thought the scrambled eggs were good, but slightly bland & needed salt and pepper. The side green salad was alright, but the vinaigrette had a bitter aftertaste. Overall, the meal was pretty good and timing wasn't the best. I'd likely return for brunch on a non-peak day. Definitely recommend joining the yelp waitlist prior to arriving if you can!

The lettuce wrap came in two steamed, wilted pieces of iceberg, while the brioche bun was untoasted, foamy-textured and soggy. Both medium burgers had the consistency of boiled meatballs. The bacon jam was decent, but the overall experience was wildly unappetizing. We also both got plain fries, which were somehow greasy and dry at the same time, and instantly turned stale as they cooled down. We really hoped for this place because it's conveniently located, and all the other decent burger spots nearby have closed, but sadly we won't be giving 310 Eatery a third try.
