Posted the project again on Yelp in the spring and M Heller replied asking for a discussion. After we talked I received a very reasonable quote - much more in line with what I expected. They already came highly recommended, but when I reached out, they were SO nice. They came out as quickly as they could (most companies told me 2-3 weeks!) but they called me several times to give me updates as to whether they could try to get to me even sooner than my scheduled appointment which was only 1 day after I called! Joe and Corey were truly amazing - firstly, they were incredibly communicative about their ETA. When they arrived, they did a thorough diagnosis of the HVAC unit and even took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why. They took care of the issue with ease and made a lot of recommendations to prevent future damage. They also offered to look at some of the other AC parts and my AC filter just to make sure I was maintaining everything properly - a service they did not need to do or take more time for. They ended up staying just chatting about best practices and were just about the friendliest repair people I have ever dealt with. No rush fees or weekend charges, just a simple fix. I sent pictures ahead of time. The guy was in and out in a half hour. I asked about the huge charge and someone called back promptly. He was very friendly but made it clear... that's our price. I live around the corner and I always like to work with my neighbors. I guess everyone isn't so neighborly.
