TO BE CLEAR, THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH- My family and I went to Mother's Day brunch for the first time. I'll start with the pros: The scenery and views are beautiful. The music stage and grassy area looked lovely. The cons: The food was just ok. It was ala carte, pricey and you had to order it at the counter and then pick it up and take it to your table, also bus your table when finished. So basically they had no host, server and one guy bussing if he had to. We had to find where our reserved table was ourselves. The tables and chairs were plastic with no table cloth so it felt undressed and unthoughtful. We had to search for salt and pepper on other tables and every table didn't have them. We asked for ketchup and the guy said he would look for some when he wasn't busy. He did finally slap a big bottle down on the table well after we were finished. Normally on any other day, I wouldn't have a problem serving myself but it was Mother's Day. I did not want to do all that. I hope for them in the future, they make the Mother's Day Brunch better staffed and thoughtful for the mothers and families who come. Perhaps, instead of their usual food service style, they could alter it to make it feel less self service on Mother's Day. We gave it a try and we won't be going back for Mother's Day. read more

I have been very limited since my stroke eight years ago. one anrm doesn't work. The other arm is with my cane. In all of the years since my stroke I have never had this happen to me. When ordered a bottle of wine and two glasses and asked for help getting it to a table, I was told by the owner that they couldn't get away, so I needed to get someone to help me. They have good wine and good entertainment, but I won't be able to go there without plenty of help.... Not sure it's worth it. BEWARE - people with disabilities! read more

I have gotten produce and wine from Dunbar Farms but haven't tried the sandwiches. The setting is plain but very nice with views from indoor and outdoor seating of the farm, pond, horses and surroundings. It seems very rural but actually is in Medford and across the street from the country club. read more

We didn't end up staying here to try the food or the wine but we did visit the farm stand. I didn't realize it was a honor stand when I had chosen it to come visit and I must say I thought that was really cool. I hadn't seen one in a while so it was nice to see one in such a beautiful setting. There were a large variety of items including ready to bake breads and frozen items. Unfortunately, we got there in the late afternoon and there wasn't much of a selection left. I'd love to come back one day in the morning so I could really get a bunch of stuff. The staff in the wine tasting room was great. They greeted us even before we made it up to the fridges. I felt bad we had to move on so quickly. Definitely make this a stop on your trip (or heck a weekly activity if you live here). read more

Love this sweet family owned and run winery, farm stand and music venue. In the city but the gorgeous country views make you feel miles away. The Italian panini is heaven and the delicious bread offerings made by Rise-up Bakery use grains from the farm. Friday evening music is a hit with the whole family. You are welcome to bring chairs or blanket and set up on the lawn. If you haven't yet, you really need to check them out. read more

This farm has it all...in town location, great wine, fresh made bread, produce from the farm and other local farms, amazing views, tranquil pond, farm animals, beautiful sunsets and great hosts! They have an honor barn available every day and host an online order pick up most Fridays with either music, food trucks or other entertainment. Dunbar Farms is a hidden gem right in the middle of the east side of Medford. The multi generation century farm offers a plethora of veggies, grains, bread, and their private label wine, Rocky Knoll. If you get a chance, try the 2006 Claret. Get back to your roots with the experience of a real farm and family run winery. I hear they are doing summer events on Friday nights with food carts and music. read more

Awesome farm stand with great variety throughout the year. Lots to choose from: beans, polenta, popcorn, fresh veggies, apples, herbs, etc. The tasting room has a great view of Table Rocks, a pond, and farm animals. And their Rocky Knoll wines are delicious! read more

This farm and its produce are glorious. And their red wine is delicious. It's so strange to me that the other reviewers wrote negative comments after trespassing on the farm. That's not only illegal - it's dangerous when there's machinery and animals nearby. read more

A few weekends ago, my family with a couple other families were looking for some place to go, get some fresh local produce, and experience something fun and interesting with the 3 children we had with us. We were looking for a local farm to let the 20 month old kids see and experience. After driving to a couple of places, we went here. Beautiful part of East Medford - great views, nice farmland with flowers growing.. They have a great outdoor seating area, I guess they do something on Friday evenings... Just our luck we missed out on whatever fun they do. Anyhow - we arrived here, got out, realized it was a honor system for purchasing whatever they had available, we also noticed that their outdoor area had a chain on it and said closed... We walked around, checked out the area but became so happy with the view and the kids broke into the area and were down on the grass running... We decided to let the kids play for a little bit before we left, we made sure to not make a mess and to just chill for a few minutes... Right as I was putting our 20 month old in the car this woman drives up, some of the others were inside the "closed" area. This woman rushes to where the rest of us were and the very first thing out of her mouth was an insult, "Do you know how to read?", she said in a very condescending tone.. Immediately the people there were feeling bad - we knew we had "violated" the closed sign, and yes, technically it was trespassing... we got that but were honestly just looking around thinking how much we'd love to go there on a Friday to see what goes on there... Needless to say, the insults continued to pour from this woman's mouth, no amount of apology from us really mattered, it was obvious she'd been called down there before because of people loitering, etc... I totally get that - we were in the wrong.... the point of this review is not to say we were right in what we did... Had we been anything but really nice people, we would have taken her "bait" and fought with her... How utterly foolish of this woman? A few of us work in the food industry here in the rogue valley, I personally have over 20 years in the organic food industry, working with local farmers - Dunbar Farms had always been a name that I felt good about - but this one encounter.... What made me write this review is the e-mail I got from Porters for their "cork and fork" event - featuring produce from Dunbar Farms... Needless to say I and my friends will not be participating in any even where Dunbar Farms is present... Asking 6 adults if they can read, when all are college educated and half hold master degrees is extremely insulting - in this day and age where I have the choice below the "SHARE ON FACEBOOK" my review - I would think if a company wants to live in this new modern age, that they learn now to "Think before speaking"... maybe my personal small amount of patronage will not make a difference, but mine with all my friends knowing about my experience might... Oh - and since my wife and I will be small business owners here in the Valley, and since we will be looking for a good local farm to assist us in producing high quality foods from local farmers, I know that I will not be contacting Dunbar Farms, even if they are the cheapest out there - doing business with them and this woman is one thing I will not do... Oh, and how did we come to be inside the closed area??? well, when you are next to the freezer that has the bread and other things in it, there is a door... It was open so we made our way into the other area looking around... The folding glass wall was open between the seating area and the serving area... there was very little indication that we shouldn't be there from that entrance way... So, Dunbar Farms - I'm stupid, my family is stupid, we are illiterate, we are a bother, we're not worthy of your kindness.... With that, you are not worthy of my patronage, nor are you worthy of any good praise or any kind words... When I hear "Dunbar Farms" I'll always be reminded of this horrible experience... it's truly amazing what 2 minutes can do to turn potential customers away for good... read more

Fantastic atmosphere! Great wines and food located on Century Farm. They have nailed it!

Best place for dining outside!!!! Had the BEST lunch here on a weekday! Feels like you're in the country when you're actually in town. The views are wonderful and it's the most serene place to go to get away from the office. I left recharged and refreshed, and the sandwich I ordered was high quality and delicious. My favorite new discovery- 5 stars- and I will be adding Dunbar Farms to the top of my lunchtime rotation. read more

This is a great farm right in the middle of Medford. You feel like you are out in the country with great views of hills and the sunset. What a fun place to bring the whole family and sample some wine and enjoy great food from (homemade pizzas to yummy food trucks). My 2 year old had lots of safe places to run around and look at the horses and cows. The staff here is just so friendly and you can tell they take pride in having us all there. I highly recommend a visit to Dunbar Farms if you are in the Medford and Ashland area. It is in an easy to find location with beautiful views of the surrounding valley. Our children enjoyed checking out the various animals they have at the farm, and we really enjoyed their wine immensely! read more

The property is amazing. So beautiful. A working farm. The honor barn was full of fresh and reasonably priced food. But we will never go back. We showed up at 5pm to shoot family pictures. Our photographer has shot there before, multiple times. The place was deserted. No customers, no workers. Then all of a sudden, the owner, Emily came up. She really wanted us to know that the farm was not a park and that it was not OK for us to be there. She didn't care about apologies or explanations. She watched us as we stood around deciding where else to go, then she came back and told us to move faster. She could not have been more snotty. And it was not that the farm is private--they have photographers in there all the time. It was that we didn't follow protocol and pay her, an honest misunderstanding based on a previous experience our photographer had with one of her workers. So here's my 3 year old, 7 year old and 9 year all dressed up, and her with no heart. Well within her rights, for sure. But not kind or generous. So we will not be back and we will tell this story to everyone we know. read more

I learned about Dunbar Farms from an acquaintance who is in "the know" about farms and organic produce. My friend buys all her beans at Dunbar, and this got me curious! I first visited the farm last January where I joined a group of friendly locals who had gathered for a "seeding party" in the green house. We planted onion starts and herb seeds while chatting and making new friends. Afterward, we all joined with Emily, Sue and David in the wine tasting room for a lunch of hearty bean soup, fresh salad and gourmet cornbread. I've now become a regular, ordering fresh bread and produce through the Internet for pick-up on Friday. I'm always amazed how kind, gracious and lovely I find Emily, David and Sue when I show up. Farming is so difficult! Not like a 9 to 5 job where you can pack up and leave the office. I always come away inspired and deeply touched by my experience, and the folks at Dunbar Farms. read more
