Staying at Gurneys so had breakfast at Tillie's. The space outside is beautiful on the ocean. The avocado toast and porridge were good. The fruit salad was OK. Convenient spot, beautiful view of the ocean. We're sure it must be a lot different during high season.

Tillie's breakfast is all of you need to start a day with a right foot at Montauk. It offers a wide selection buffet and also a selective plates for those who wants some simpler! There is a remarkable service offered to me by Marlen; she went far and beyond my expectations. Always kind, helping me with options no just for breakfast for my lunch too. The restaurant in general has a friendly staff, and every time I go to Tillie's I ask for Marlen, because I know I'm in a good hands with her!

We went for Christmas Day breakfast and had an amazing experience. The views are second to none and everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered crab cake Benedict, short rib hash with poached eggs and hollandaise, and the cinnamon sugar French toast. Absolutely everything was spot on awesome! We were seated right away and the wait staff were attentive and timely. We will most definitely be back again. Highly recommend Tillie's to anyone wanting a beautiful memory of dining seaside!

Solid, convenient breakfast spot at Gurney's - great when you want to walk 15 steps from your room and eat in a gorgeously sunny restaurant. The whole feeling of the place is bright and relaxing and classy. Had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is basically a larger, cheesier, and gooey-er egg sandwich you'd get at your local NYC bodega. Also had the bagel and lox which was pretty good, though I'm not a fan of capers or some scales which were in the lox.

Lunch: please order the clam chowder and the crispy chicken sandwich. Yum! Comfortable seating at the bar and attentive and knowledgeable service. See you all again soon. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

GROSS. My avocado toast had hair after my first bite. Granted they were busy and had weddings this weekend, just not what I expected out of a 4 star resort. Rest of food was okay, service was just not great. If they are busy with weddings, they should honestly hire more service. Food during times like this should be extra sanitary. Avocados looked like they have been sitting out as well as it was patches of black. For something that's $15+ dollars you expect more. Disappointed.

My friend and I got seated at a table on the deck. The food was delicious! We ordered tuna poke, French toast, and the lobster roll. All 3 were great. Service was superb! I enjoyed the view, the drinks, and the food especially. Tillie's actually offers a buffet option as well. Def recommend for breakfast/brunch!

Very tasty food (a bit pricy but its the Hamptons, so ya know, that's just the norm) I came here the other day with a very large group of people, the staff was extremely accommodating and rushed ordered a few of our meals for the people that had spa appointments. The seafood is fresh and the salads are good for one but also great as a share option!

The yellow sauce for the steak was fab! The potatoes were seasoned perfectly!

Food was incredibly tasty, good variety, and fine portions. Smashed potatoes and lamb sliders were awesome. Service was fine, fast but nothing beyond that. Ambiance was nice with the live music. Super Fantastic food!…read more From the outside kind of looks like laid back casual taco spot! Inside very causal yet cool surfer vibe. Service and margaritas were great. Not fancy! Laid back, casual! The menu and what came out of the kitchen was exceptional and "5" worthy alone. We had some sushi grade tuna tacos with crispy wonton style shells. The tacos were dressed with all the right flavors and additions you would expect from a top sushi joint. Excellent! We also had Moroccan spiced lamb sliders! Wow good! Perfect! Go to the Gig Shack just to get this! 100% worthy the trip. Id say the menu is somewhat surfer-fusion with California taco influence. There are lots of options. We are glad we tried Gig Shack and will return. Highly recommended casual, cool vibe location, with fantastic food!

Truly, the cocktails and menu at this restaurant are so inventive and flavor packed it feels as if there has to be something supernatural happening in the kitchen and behind the bar. We came here in early May and sat at the bar. Dillon took great care of us, walked us through the menu and made stellar recommendations all around. After having my mind blown by the Everything Bagel Martini, we moved on to share the charred octopus and Leggy's Thighs. The charred octopus was tender, and paired so well with the citrus fruits on this plate, plus the bite of pistachios?! So well put together. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We also split the Wagyu sando which I'm literally still thinking about. Wagyu on milkbread?! What an excellent idea. Live acoustic music was going on the night we were here which really added to the cozy ambiance. They also have trivia here on Thursdays (Dillon, if you're reading this, we hope your team wins the championship). 10/10 no notes. Come here if you can get a table.

Please Google how much waiters are paid hourly in New York State minimum. It is about 20 dollars. Only the Deep South still pay waiters a low hourly wage. After I left a tip and clearly wrote 10 dollars and clearly wrote the 170 dollar total I noticed the next day my tip was changed by staff to 29 dollars and my bill was now 190 total. I called the next day and said there was a mistake and I was accidentally overcharged. I gave the staff all the grace in the world. I was then asked if there was a problem with the service after giving 10 dollars!! These obnoxious, smug thieves were caught red handed and could not just refund my 19 dollars without first asking why I ONLY tipped 10. I was going to do a police report so it was good they at least credited back my 19 dollars they stole after I caught them. I wish I did not even leave a ten dollar tip. Waiters in New York make at least 20 an hour. You do not owe them another 20 percent. Btw they made my tip 20 percent AFTER taxes were included. I would eat here again tbh but I will pay in cash the next time. Don't use credit cards with these gonifs.

Know that there is picnic table seating outdoors on nice days or a pretty big parking lot to enjoy your meal. I'm sure it gets packed during peak summer hours. The portions are huge! For 3 people we ordered lobster bisque, tuna bites, lobster Mac and cheese, a tuna poke bowl, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Everything is made fresh to order and it was delicious! Literally the best lobster bisque I ever had. And the tuna bites were so unique - fresh tuna, breaded and deep fried. We aren't local but we will be back every time we are on the east end. We also had steamers which were fresh and delicious, and a softshell crab sandwich that was fried to perfection. Pricey but hey, it's Montauk. I wish I'd been hungrier because their tomato lobster special sounded out of this world. Everything was really solid. I'd come back.

I was trying to find a way to go there without having to drive so far just for food. I live an hour away from them, so the travel time is what makes going there a deal breaker consistently. It's worth going to East Hampton generally, but it should be a day thing. Not just to go eat. The person who helped us was very knowledgable and asked good questions in terms of what you'd like for your platter. The food was top quality. Our platters were worth every bit of that gift certificate and I'd love to come around this place again! I also had to buy their sauce on the way back home because we use it for some dinners. My only critiques is regarding the mac and cheese. I wish it was more of a homemade baked mac and cheese with the toasted top. But definitely good mac and cheese nonetheless. The mashed sweet potatoes were definitely too seasoned with all spice. It gave it too much of a kick than I was expecting. I liked the seating inside and outside. If we didn't have bad allergies, would've probably sat outside and enjoyed our meal. Also, this place has their own parking area. So that's definitely a plus!
