This cute little place was a great find when looking for breakfast this morning on the way to the beach. We were greeted warmly by the staff member and she made us a tasty bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. If I had to do it again I would have not chosen yellow American cheese but that was my bad. They serve coffee and a variety of other drinks too. Lots of great options in this place and would definitely visit again if I was in the area. They have a new location coming soon. read more

Restaurant Review: Dunedin Bagels and Deli, Dunedin, FL I have recently visited this amazing bagel shop and deli in downtown Dunedin, and I can't figure out why it took me so long to discover it! They offer a variety of fresh bagels cooked daily, and you can really taste the difference - from a little crisp exterior to a soft, moist flavor and texture on the inside. Complete perfection! She even makes Salt Bagels and Bialys on Sundays. I ordered a dozen in advance, and when I arrived, I told her she had them bagged and ready to go. Of course, I bought a few other items as well because I just had to! They also offer a plethora of sandwiches, including some of your classics, including Bacon, Egg, and Cheese; Sausage, Egg and Cheese; Egg and Cheese; Ham, Egg and Cheese; Corn Beef, Egg, and Cheese; and Spinach Chorizo. But it does not stop there! They have a wide variety of unique sandwiches, which are quite impressive. The combination of high-quality ingredients and creative pairing makes every bite unforgettable. What makes it all worthwhile is Miriam, the owner. She is the heartbeat of the restaurant and brings her love for food in every bite. It is not as easy as you'd think to track down good bagel shops that are not chains, unless you're in NYC, of course. I found this cute little shop on Yelp and it wasn't too far from my place so though I would go check them out. They have the staples and then some unusual flavors and do offer bagel sandwiches as well. I always have to get my go to sausage, egg and cheese bagel but this time I was looking to bring some home because Ben wanted to take a stab at making his own Lox bagel and I wanted fresh ones. The employee (probably the owner) behind the counter was so sweet. She noticed my arm in a sling and talked to me about what happened amd that she also went through it as well as she prepared my sandwich and wrapped the bagels. You should tell her was sincere in her words about taking my PT seriously and not pushing myself. When I got home I started to unwrap the bagels and noticed they were a little heavier or dense than a lot that I have had. When I cut them open you could feel the freshness and smell the ingredients. Ben made his Lox just the way he likes it but did say that the bagel places have better sliced Lox than what we were able to get at Publix (it was too thick). Guessing that means we'll just be buying the sandwich already made from now on. My sandwich was good and the sausage had just a little kick to it. The bagels are a good size as there was extra space around the ingredients. I later toasted the blueberry bagel and it was full of blueberries throughout and not just a few here or there. That was very good. It may not be a big place but it was good and love supporting small local businesses. read more

The following is my opinion based on my experience today. This was my first (and last) visit to Dunedin Bagels. Unlike every other bagel bakery that I have ever visited, bagels were not clearly visible. The only ones I could see were individually wrapped in plastic. I ordered 6 unsliced bagels which came to more than $15.! Even though there were only two people in the store behind me it took almost 10 minutes to get 6 bagels. Based on the cost, wait time and average bagels, I will not be back. There are better options, including Publix. Again, this is my opinion based on my experience today. read more

The ambiance and the Service were nothing special, maybe on the rude side. The Jersey special on the Kaiser roll was really lack luster was little better than fast food only assembly is done here with microwave to heat up meat. I had a bacon egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel. The bagel had good flavor but it was super small for the price you pay, the egg was microwaved, the bacon was so thin it was sheer. The cheese was just slapped on not even melted. No free refills on coffee. Overall I was very disappointed, it appears that there is absolutely no cooking done on premises, so I'm not even sure where the bagels and rolls come from. When I go to a bagel shop I'm assuming they make bagels?????? Will not be returning nor will I recommend this establishment. I think the name is very misleading. The owner was very sweet and the bagels are all homemade. The hummus here is amazing (also homemade) and the cream cheese is homemade! I recommend the hummus veggie on an everything bagel, it was such a refreshing light lunch! read more

I was not a fan unfortunately. I really do hate to post a negative review, especially for a locally owned business but I just was not impressed. I ordered and everything bagel with chive cream cheese. That's typically my go-to order. The bagel itself was pretty good, a little more dense than I would like. If I revisited I may order this again. The coffee was standard but the Cuban sandwich has to be the worst I've ever had. I don't say that lightly. The pork was an odd grayish color and tasted old and cheap. Cannot stand behind this sandwich at all. They've won lots of awards as noted by the plaques on the wall. I may give it another shot but there are other vapor shops in the area I will definitely try first. read more

I went here because it said Cuban coffee listed as one of there coffees. They do not have Cuban coffee. My husband was wanting it and that's what I was going to get him. They have about 6-10 different bagels, if that many. I did get cinnamon toast crunch because that's one of mine and my husbands favorite. It did not taste like what we were use to or expected. It's a small place not a chain. which I like. I just wish I would have liked the bagels. Since it isn't a chain I will go back. I like to support small business owners. I'll try something else and hopefully it will be good. read more

This was the bestttt bagel I've EVERRR had. It's vegetarian friendly and you can add bacon to it if you want. It might seem pricey 11 dollars for a bagel but you can taste that it's worth it. The cream cheese is all made in house and it was delectable. The hummus was made in house as well and the veggies were all crunchy and fresh. Good support this mom and pop shop. Brought my 1 and 4 yr olds in for breakfast. Ordered a cappuccino. Lady handed it to me; I took a sip, it was so hot it instantly burned my mouth. I went to put some creamer in it to cool it down. I said to the lady, "it's really hot." She proceeded to argue with me; telling me cappuccinos need to be that hot. I told her I bought a cappuccino right down the street yesterday and it wasn't that hot. She proceeded to yell at me. I let her know exactly what she was acting like then I told her please try the coffee herself. I said it's really really hot I wouldn't complain if it wasn't this hot. It actually looked like it was boiling. I told her if this got on your skin it would burn your skin and she should try it; put it on her hand. If it dropped on my kids or myself it would have burned our skin. She then threatened to pull her gun on me and went to her purse to get her gun so I called the cops. After 20 minutes the cup of coffee was still steaming and boiling that's how hot it was. I showed the cops but unfortunately they said they couldn't do anything to look into the McDonald's case about it and they said the way she acted was not appropriate but they couldn't do anything about it since I was on her property. I was not expecting for her to start fighting with me when the coffee was obviously very hot maybe to say I'm sorry and give me some ice or something. Even a warning before I took the first sip would have been nice. Now three hours later I can barely eat or drink anything all the skin on my tongue and roof of mouth is starting to peel off and bubble. My children were not wearing masks when we walked in (no signs said to wear them) and come to find out they are very pro mask I believe she may have made the coffee so hot to burn me on purpose. Pics are of my mouth and a video I took of the steaming cup even after 20 minutes outside with lid off. The owner's response is more lies and cruelty to customers! There was no froth on this cappuccino!! I believe they heated coffee in the microwave and poured the froth on top; the milk quickly degraded. When I innocently said that it was hot I got verbally attacked (as demonstrated in other reviews). I am a dental hygienist and worked in hospitality. I know about being burned and how to treat patrons. I drink coffee every day from my Ninja that is set to 195 F!!!! This was MUCH HOTTER THAN THAT! When I tried to return it the lady wouldn't even take it, she was SCARED OF THE BUBBLING HOT DRINK SHE JUST BURNT ME WITH!!! She then pulled her gun on myself and my two small children!!!! I CALLED THE COPS!!! Also I love hot things; hot showers, hot coffee, hot food. My pain tolerance is super high. Last baby born at home no pain meds. Absolutely loved it! This cappuccino was the temperature of Satan's Bath!!!! No kidding. I didn't even care, just let her know then she flipped out on ME!!!! read more

Super unfriendly woman working the register. Told us our dog needed to leave immediately when there was noone there when we walked in and he didn't do anything. There were also dog treats on the counter so it seemed inviting for dogs yet she didn't offer one for him. She must just not like dogs herself. Once my husband went outside with our pup, she continued her rudeness by not saying anything to me or asking me what I'd like, just started at me lol. Our two everything bagels with cream cheese and two waters cost $16 & they were the plainest tasting everything bagels we have ever eaten. Maybe we're a little biased being from NY but these were worse than the bagels you get from the grocery store. My husband didn't finish his and threw it out. Plus, there's nowhere to eat outside and we had just walked there. Highly recommend not going out of your way to stop here. Overall terrible experience, and the 3 stars makes sense. My fault for forgetting about Lavita's down the street a bit further with homemade bagels using all high quality local ingredients and the friendliest staff every time I walk in. Worst breakfast sandwiches! I could have made something better at home. The bagels were hard, the eggs were microwaved and the bacon is also microwaved. When you come to a bagel shop you expect cooked eggs, bacon cooked on a griddle and an awesome freshly baked bagel. Dunedin bagel is small and cute, and convenient. My son's french toast bagel was outrageously good, tasted just like french toast! My daughter's asiago bagel was also delicious. I'd say this is a pretty standard bagel shop. Not huge. I wouldn't come late in the day and expect to find all varieties left to choose from. There were all few regulars hanging around reading, who seemed to know the owner. Everyone was pleasant! My kids are 10 and 12 and the owner, an elderly man, treated them with equal respect and consideration, as he treated me. I like that there were a variety of cream cheese options. I like that this place is a small business that has a good product. I like that it has its own off street parking. It's conveniently located. It's a solid establishment and I'll go back! read more

On the recommendation of a neighbor we visited Dunedin Bagels and Deli and immediately ordered a couple of bagels and coffee as well as a dozen sliced everything and cinnamon raisin bagels to go. As we sat there munching our everything bagels we immediately regretted our decision to purchase the dozen to go. We spent $31,50 for TASTELESS bagels. This was the worst cuban sandwich we ever had. My wife and I finally got around to checking this place out last Friday, the 24th. It is a cute little place with lots of sandwiches and bagels; and since it is just down the street from us we were hoping to have found our "go-to" sandwich shop. Boy were we disappointed. When we got home and unwrapped the sandwiches we couldn't believe what we saw--or, rather, what we didn't see. We have never had a cuban sandwich that had no meat visible between the bread. I'm not kidding! Look at the pictures below. When I lifted the top off there was only one strip of pork and very little cheese. My wife had maybe two pieces of meat and a small amount of cheese on only half of the sandwich. It was ridiculous! If it wasn't raining I would have gone back to demand a refund.
