Wicked cool brewery! Anyone that has a drumkit with a store logo on it is awesome in my book. We went on a Saturday night and were able to watch Uncle John's Band. Many young and old hippies danced along the isles, among the overly made up twenty somethings and beach casual 60 year olds. All walks of life danced smiled and drank together. The decor was pretty interesting and had many celtic inspirations. At times I felt like I was in the bar Frodo and his friends go to in Lord of the Rings. Incredibly jolly atmosphere, and the beer was always flowing. I absolutely fell in love with the apricot peach ale, and also tried the raspberry ale, which was good, but the apricot was much better. If you enjoy scottish tartans, band posters from the past fifty years, and bringing home your favorite brew in a growler - then this is the place for you. read more

Coming from Richmond, VA this place made me feel more at home than any where else in the Bay area. The beer is good, not great, but still damned good. Being in an old car garage gave this place such a unique feel to it that we spent the whole time staring around the room noticing new details. The live music was perfect for the setting and casual time we wanted. Our food was cheap, filling, and more flavorful than anything else we have had in the casual realm of restaurants. I'll make a return trip here, probably over and over. I've been considering moving to the area and Dunedin seems to be the most likely place... partially due to this great brewpub. read more

I heard this was the first brewery in Florida. However, the service was rude to my girlfriend and I. I was simply trying to order beer and the man was very rude to us when ordering. Thissuccess of this brewery helped build momentum for the others opping up around the area. They have live music performances. The crowd tends to be pretty hipster. There are some fund beers to try and the offerings change pretty often. read more

The seating situation here left something to be desired, it seemed to essentially be a free for all with no discernible host or reservation system. They had a fair selection of beers with a wide range of dark to light. No one was really wowed by their beer, but it was solid enough. The accuracy of orders flat out sucked. I got a burger with grilled onions. Out it came slathered in green onions. Another party member ordered chicken tacos. Out came pork tacos instead. This person does not eat pork for personal reasons and did not learn of the pork in the tacos until after eating some. Stupid mistakes. It's passable here. Dunedin Brewery is an excellent spot for an afternoon drink and snacks. It's located right in the middle of downtown Dunedin and close to the water. They have ample parking right across the street. The interior has a neat industrial feel with seating at the bar and high tops. They often have live music too. My favorite spot is on the patio on a cool day. There are nice picnic tables and high top chairs around the outside with shaded umbrellas. Their beer options are great with the standard light and dark beers so their is an option for everyone. The apricot is my favorite. They have good food options ranging from pita, veggies, and hummus, to cheese curds, to sandwiches. It can get crowded in the evening and during events, especially Octoberfest. It's one of my favorite day drinking spots for a day off or Saturday afternoon. read more

I always find an excuse to come here when I'm in the Dunedin area. For a microbrew lover such as myself, this place is paradise. Haven't had the pleasure of trying all the beers they offer yet, but the ones I have, have all been excellent. My favorite so far is the American Classic IPA. It's not just the beers that keep me coming back as the food is great as well. I probably should try something other than the Fish Tacos but its hard to say no when they're that good. Can't go wrong with the Nachos either. The only complaint I had was that on a busy day, seating is hard to find. I went here on a Sunday around 2PM and the place was packed ( Guess I'm not the only one who loves it!). The staff did the best they could with the space they had but you can only fit so many tables in the space provided. Won't prevent me from coming back though. Such a cool little (not really) brewery! They have a pretty good size inside and serve not only good beer but good food as well. We took some friends from out of town who love craft beer and they loved it. I tried the Moca Mint Stout which was great! It reminded me of a Thin Mint! So yummy!! We also orded the french fries which are AMAZING!!! They reming me of boardwalk fries! We have never orded any other food but other people we know have and have raved about it! Fun local place with a nice assortment of their own home brewed craft beer. Went for a Friday night to catch some live music and sip some brews. The beer selection runs from light beers, ambers, reds, and darks many with interesting names like midnight sextant.. We didn't try any food.. just a lot of beer. The inside is pretty small, tables were at a premium. Once the band got set up the wait staff removed several tables making room for dancing and general standing around. This made it much harder to get to the bar to place an order but the great music made up for it. There is outside seating which is great because you can still hear the music outside too. The bar staff really did a great job, they were quick to pour and turned over the beer line in minutes. There are bar seats for hanging out and a counter to place your order and go. This is fun Friday night spot for 20-30-40 somethings.. even older folks, pretty sure there were a few retirees spotted on the dance floor that night. read more

After living in the area for a year I am glad we finally got to enjoy a pint and some food. I actually tend to forget about this place as it is a little outside of the normal walking path and the few times we tried before seating was not available. I was recently reminded of this place as they participated in a local wing tasting competition and found there wings to be in the top three so just a few days later we came. Reasons I like this place and would go back. It has history being the oldest craft brewery in Florida. The decor shows this history and is great to look at while talking over a pint or having a small bite to eat. The staff was friendly and eager to serve us and make sure we were happy. We never had to wait for anything nor were we rushed. They also have a very good live entertainment schedule that is constantly changing. So before I finish I consider four stars very good and five stars the best of the best so I consider them very good. Where we were a bit disappointed was the food. We got the raves about pouting and although a creative idea I think it misses its mark unless you eat it within two minutes. We more enjoyed this as tater tots fried cheese curds and pork as three separate items. They were not easy to eat together but we're good separately. Ask for the sauce separately and dunk to your pleasure. We also had the homemade hummus which was good but the "seasonal vegetables" is what was upsetting. They consisted of sunburst peppers and carrots. They carrots had to come from a bag as they were all the same size and peeled from a machine. I went on a day of the local farmers market that was 1 block away. If you state seasonal vegetables you could have served beautiful tomatoes summer squash zucchini etc. I guess the point is don't claim seasonal if you don't want to put the effort in. The carrots were off putting by look and taste (the film they developed by being peeled a long time ago) I will be back to enjoy their staff and entertainment. Food will not be a priority for me here. read more

This is place has a different feel then a lot of the a lot the other breweries in Tampa Bay. I would expect nothing less from the oldest microbrewery in Florida. There's no shortage beer of choices and the food here is reasonable the most expensive thing on the menu is $11. I tried the Cholulua Lime humus with veggies and pita bread. This gem is one of my fondest memories of Florida! I stumbled upon this place with a buddy of mine during the short stint I spent in Bay area. I returned several times for the live music, awesome local brews and the people watching! Ambiance - 5 stars. It's a brewery in a big garage!! It doesn't get any better than this, folks! It draws a decent crowd but is never too packed to the extent that you can't get a drink. They usually have live music on a little stage set up nearly every night. Service - 4 stars. They're on top of it. They offer extensive knowledge of their brews and can talk at length about their seasonals. Everyone's friendly, and service is prompt. People are low key-- as you'd expect from a place like this. Brews - 5 stars. The brews are awesome here! My favorite is their Redhead Red. Any of the ales are a safe bet too. You won't be disappointed. Food - Can't say I ever tried the food. You definitely come for the brews and entertainment. Overall - 5 stars. I truly miss the Dunedin Brewery. Everyone in the local hangout is down to earth, and there to kick back a couple beers and have a good time. Blown away by the food at this place. The Dunedin style poutine was phenomenal. Spicy, meaty and just delicious. Had some fried cheese curds, the same curds that you find in the poutine. I know in the real deal, the stuff isn't fried, but this is a fun way to do it. Chicken wings were fantastic. Some kind of dry rub, served with multiple dipping sauces. They were great just on their own. I tried the blackened chicken wrap, which was really good, the chicken tasted especially fresh and tender. No packaged crap here, this is good house-made stuff. Beers are really good. I'm from St. Pete, so I'm spoiled, but this was all very nice. Brown ale and the mango saison were tasty enough and enjoyable. Was there on a Tuesday night, so it was drum circle night. A lot of fun. I saw a friend there and she let me bang her drum. Haha. I don't know that I would necessarily drive all the way up there just for this, but being in the area this is a total do-again. I liked it much better than jolli mons. If Eli's barbecue around the corner isn't open (ie it isn't Friday or Saturday OR you don't want to eat outside), this is a great second choice. read more

Stopped by on New Years Day in the afternoon and the place was about 70% full but got quick service at the bar when I inquired about the tap menu. Grabbed a seat with my wife and sister in law (who aren't big beer fans ) and ordered up a flight and some munchies. Had a great humus/guacamole thing that really was quite good. Some sliders and sweet potato tots that were also well received. Ordered another flight and was impressed with the quality and selection on tap. All house brewed beers with no visiting taps but the selection was good. I'd return next time I swing through Clearwater. read more

I love how this brewery brewed all beer on site. It was definitely a welcome site after living in Miami, a city begging for a centralized micro-brewery that meets the scale of the Dunedin Brewery. We visited on a Friday afternoon, after a bike ride and ordered the Red Ale and the IPA. IPAs appeared to be the theme of the weekend and this was the opening round. The IPA was hoppy enough to make us happy for our bike ride home. We ordered salsa and chips for a brief form of substance, but the focus of this establishment is obviously the beer. Comparatively, it was a great experience to see the exposed beer tanks and an expansive menu and variety of brews that appear to change with the seasons. The band was setting up as we were leaving and the overall brewery presented a welcome and laid back feeling. read more

Great brewery near downtown Dunedin with both indoor and outdoor seating. I got the beer sampler and pretzel bites- which were a little burnt but still okay. Young and old come here which was cool to see, lots of kiddos. Parking lot is really small like literally 6 cars. Overall it was a great place to taste some craft beers. read more

Me and a group of 5 others came here for lunch. We were expecting beer and bar food. We would have been fine with just OK food since the point of a the trip was the beer. We were very pleasantly surprised then when the food turned out to be very good. I had a pulled pork wrap that had a very good balance of spicy and sweet. It was accompanied by chips and a very good salsa. The service was quite good as well. She made recommendations and brought refills before our cups were empty. Wonderful and friendly staff; workers are very well educated on there beer selection and will strike up conversation with you. Very cool locale right in the heart of Dunedin along the greenway. Didn't have much time, but ordered and Apricot Ale and it was done very well. Nice beer garden area, kinda small but nice. A band was setting up and it seemed that they have something going every night here. Speaking of nights, they are open late which is refreshing. Their menu looked tasty and adventurous but again only ordered the one beer. I would like to return to try both the food and more beer. Beer: Of their staple brews my favorite is the gold though I've tried the others, liked them, I always seem to go back to this one. Seasonally (maybe semi-seasonally?), my favorite ones have been the pumpkin beer (to die for!), razzbeery wheat, bier de cafe, and local honey. Waitresses/waiters/bartenders are all very knowledgable. Got a question, just ask. Samples are available too. As are flights. Food: I haven't met anything I didn't like on their menu. It more or less depends on "how much did I work out today?" If I rode my bike 40-50 miles, cheese curds all way baby! If I huffed it on a treadmill, brew-tie salad is good. One item that is hard to turn down regardless of available calories is their wings. Not overly saucy, plenty of meat, and cooked to perfection. My boyfriend and I get a craving for them about once a month ( he says once a week). Entertainment: have you gone to the wednesday drum circle? DO IT. so cool. Local drummers get together and make some sweet beats. There is a band every friday,saturday which are usually great. i've downloaded a few from iTunes. It gets kinda loud, so if its not your thing, they have outdoor seating or a nook towards the front of the house that isn't as loud. Service: Service is great. always friendly, always fast. Dunedin brewery is the staple of the beer scene here in Dunedin. Although, I prefer 7th sun's beers, I like that I can get food at the brewery. There main list of 6 beers are okay. I'm really enjoying the ~7.5% pumpkin beer they have on for fall. Im OBSESSED with the black bean burger. It's BETTER than the regular burger. Don't know how they do it-just order it! They also do fresh fries and homemade interesting flavors of hummus. Dunedin brewery also gets really good bands. Everyone I've seen here has been above par. read more
