Perfect Deli for me! I'm almost always headed in that direction either to Ocean Parkway or the Meadowbrook!! I have not gotten a lot of hot food there except for the egg sandwich just like rolls, coffee, quick snack, snacks, etc. for me. It's perfect again because the location is easy and quick. service is very fast and food is fresh. I can't even comment that much on the pricing. Everything today is overpriced.... everything. Among the items are fresh pancakes (chocolate chip and blueberry available) and powdered French toast, amongst an assortment of breakfast treasures. You can always go for 3 eggs cooked how you like them, with the freshest meat of your choice. Speaking of meat, along with Boar's Head, they offer fresh home-cooked meats. First! Anywho, I really like this deli. While it's not the fanciest establishment in town, it's fast, it's priced right and the food is legit (by food I mean sammies and eggs, of course). The location is perfect (for me) bc it's the last stop before you hit the beach clubs and meadowbrook pkwy. There are only a handful of spots on the side of the building, yet parking never seems to be a problem. There's also turnaround half a block up, so you can head back to the west end if you need to. So far I've only experimented with egg whites, BEC's and turkey wraps, but all have been solid. Dunes is a way better option then the headache of hitting 10 lights and then finding parking on Park Ave (ironic) to get to other deli's. Stop here on your way in/out of town for a quick bite! read more

I love this deli! Service is quick, friendly and accurate. Food is great too. Muffins are fresh, coffee is hot, oatmeal is tasty. As far as lunch goes, I love the different daily specials. Priced right. This deli is a daily stop for me in the mornings and an easy go to place for lunch if my coworkers and I decided to eat out. Honestly id give them one star... But my buddy enjoyed his sandwich. 3/3 times ive eating here egg sandwich or a hero, it wasnt good. Just bland microwaved chicken cutlet, dry, chewy, to hot to eat..... And the list goes on. They dont cook with love! Seriously though they dont take pride in their sandwiches. The Dunes has changed ownership, but mostly the same great staff is working there. They know all their regular customers by name, and treat all their customers extremely well. This deli serves the usual sandwiches found at most delis and they're all good...but the real secret since the change in ownership is that the prepared food you can buy is exceptionally good. They prepare some hot lunches such as chicken parm, meatloaf with roasted potatoes and others that are excellent and way better than standard deli fare. They also make burgers which are very good, but you really have to check what's in the display when you go because there is always a good surprise or two such as stuffed mozzarella, spinach pie and various marinated chicken cutlets. I think the new owner was a chef or experienced cook because the food is really that good. -- Parking can be an issue at prime hours, and especially in the summer, but they move quickly in there and it's worth a few minutes to wait for a parking spot if need be. read more
