Great coffee! Shit service Great muffins! Shit food Fast Drive-Thru! Shit donuts Get the picture. Coffee almost always on point. Hash browns are awesome. Outside of that - always inconsistent. Drives me up an f'ing wall. Sometimes sausage is cooked all the way. Sometimes not. Sometimes it tastes good. Sometimes it's the oddest texture. Sometimes the croissant is toasted all the way. Sometimes it is actually doughy. And if the donuts get any smaller they'll just start calling them munchkins. All that aside. How hard is it to call out orders by the receipt number. Like the Cary location. You know the good DD on 55 & High House. Too difficult? Ok, then lets just yell out what you ordered. That's make total sense I'm positive that no one else in the place ordered a f'ing bagel. Or maybe they did and took yours instead even though you ordered it about 5 minutes before them. Good coffee is hard to find in these parts and you have to drive for it...further out of my way than I am used to. But it's worth it to get me a cup of java at DD. I finally found one after searching for a while. It's not like NJ where there is one near by wherever you are. The people here are super friendly. They go at the normal NC pace which I am used to by now. It's never busy even during peak morning time. And they make the coffee right every time. It's now my staple of morning Java when I am in the area for business...even if I have to drive 10 mins out of my way to get there. :-) read more

Horrible customer service at this location. I placed an order through the app and arrived to find a super long line in the drive thru. I decided to go inside to pick up and had to wait, which wasn't a problem except once I reached the feont of the line, the manager took my phone to look at my order and scrolled through my phone without apology, then blamed me for the order not being ready. Another employee angrily slid my food to me and said nothing, so I asked if that was it, then she grumbled back a yes. This is the worst doughnut shop I've ever been to. I cannot understand why there was a line. The workers at the counter didn't seem to know what they were doing. They lost and confused other people's orders and seemed to have no organization. For my order of 50 munchkins, they didn't have enough of several of the flavors I wanted. Called this location because I went to another and obviously the woman there doesn't know how to make pumpkin swirl iced coffee, it's not rocket science but I see that you have to tell them equal parts cream and swirl, Unlike the one in Cary that always gets it right when you don't have to tell them anything. Anywho so I spoke to a pompous man that sounded like he likes to pick greenies and asked can I swap it out, I called this location because they are closer to where I was at the moment, then he tells me I have to go back to the back one I got it from, no compromise or nothing. Worst service. They took 20 minutes to give me 1 sausage egg and cheese biscuit. The lady asked me twice what my order was and proceeded to forget we were even there. She was paying more attention to drinking her coffee than give the correct orders out. We also received the wrong order after waiting what felt like a eternity. The only reason to come to this DD is for a decent cup of coffee. I had long given up on their pathetic excuse for donuts.....and then I stupidly ordered 2 lemon-filled croissant "donuts".....that were a limited time special for $2.49 each. I should have just set the money on fire. The special donuts should have been called munchkins. Lesson learned.....see photo. If you lose your mind and order munchkins, COUNT THEM. This DD is easily the slowest DD in America. Pulling up to a drive through line with 2 cars in front of you is usually a good thing. Not here. I am not sure exactly what they are doing in there, but I am writing this review at the order sign and it's been 5 minutes. It took 15 for the 2 cars in front of me. By far the worst Dunkin' I have ever been too. I am a decaf guy and very sensitive to caffeine which gives me palputations. 9 out of 10 times I was given caffeinated coffee, even after confirming that it was decaf. The staff is also super slow and unfriendly. I now go to the new DD in Holly Springs and have never had a problem. Fast, smart and reliable employees. read more

I am a bit surprised by the bad reviews for this DD. I go here every week. Lucky for me it is never during a busy time. The staff is friendly but a little slow. My order is always correct but my frozen coffee the last 2x has been more icy than it should be. I can't be sure, but it seems they have a lot turn over so that could explain the slower service since the employees are still new. read more

Absolutely horrible management. Tried to place a catering order with Johnel. We are a neighbor business and spend our money here everyday. They were to charge me $26 for cream cheese for 24 bagels!! This is the worst DD i have ever encountered, and because I have little other choice, Ive endured it 2x daily for 2 years (to my detriment!) 1) A long line is one thing, but 7 minutes PER CAR AT THE WINDOW is outrageous. Maddening. I can get on a short line w plenty of cushion time and still run late. Drinks arent even made by the time you pay. Come inside, and they try to get the line down by taking multiple drink orders before preparing them. Okay maybe take 2 or 3 at a time. But 6 orders? Before even making the FIRST drink? Unfair. I should have been out the door. 2) Ruuuuude rude rude rude rude rude. High turnover. Terrible customer service. 3) Inconsistant drinks. Too much cream, too little sugar, unmixed sugar... And i order by the same exact specific quantity each time. Drinks taste like stale coffee grinds in the evening. People who frequent a DD take it seriously. Worst location of Dunkin' I've ever been to. They mess up my order every single time, don't listen to the customer when you are trying to place an order and they are very slow. The store is not clean and I found a bug inside my iced coffee the most recent time I visited this location. I will not be returning. They did a great job at moving a very long line on a Wednesday morning. Quality of the food was what you look for in a fast food breakfast.

1- I have come to the Apex location on route 55 at least 6 times and on 4 of the occasions the order was wrong. I specifically ask for the unsweetened French Vanilla and they insist on giving me the sweetened one. Today I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and when I got home the I had bacon on both plus the coffee was sweetened. I would not be writing this review but they consistently screw up a simple order for coffee. 2- I wanted to add two DD gift cards for $10 each to my DD rewards card and was told I could not do it. I know they can do it as I was able to have this done in NY and in the Cary location earlier this year. The Route 55 William street location is horrible, horrible, horrible. It's obvious they do not know how to run a business. When I finish the gift cards and the balance on my DD rewards I will not be going to DD again. They lost a customer for ever. read more

Went through the drive through, placed a huge order, and once we were home we realized we were missing a drink and the sandwich was on the wrong type of bread. The manager had the drink ready and waiting when we returned, made us a new sandwich, and threw in a free donut. The staff was very friendly. Definitely a well run store!! read more

I wish I would've read these posts before I decided to go here. Waited 20 minutes for a medium black coffee and never received it. I left because I was then late for an appointment. Two of the employees seemed to be carrying the weight for the rest of the crew. The manager was cooking the whole time and never came out to observe what else was going on in the store. Super friendly service! I just popped in for coffee and the employees were so nice and friendly! My kids and I have been in a handful of times in the past and we've always received great service. I'm not a big donut fan, but my kids love their donut holes and I feel like they're the perfect size for a treat every once in a while. I ordered drip coffee with french vanilla syrup and it was great. I've also had the egg white breakfast sandwich and it's pretty good as well. My order is always correct and I'm always pleasantly surprised with my overall experience. read more

Stood at the counter, waiting for one of the 4 employees to wait on us. Every employee was focused on waiting on customers at the drive thru and stocking up. In fact as we were leaving an order was taken instantly at the drive thru. We were assured that they would be right with us, to no avail, 4 pm and my son and I were the only ones in the place. I know that most qsr's are tracked and an important part of the quality is the drive thru times, the customer standing at the counter should be just as important and the service response should be equal. I would understand if it was early in the morning and the place was busy. The drive thru times must be fantastic, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

The drive through is great, takes no time at all usually. Sometimes the line is long depending on when you get there but they whip through it. Inside however is a different situation. They gave my order to someone else this morning, no biggie, but then the woman in charge today refused to make me my order because she had "already sent it out". I ordered two caramel lattes. One latte literally had no coffee whatsoever and was completely foam and syrup (when I got home I poured both cups out and one was completely white). The other latte had black coffee without syrup and foam. The customer service has been terrible every time I have visited and the wait time is longer than it should be. Very disappointed. read more

Rudest drive through employee we've ever dealt with. Her name was Sabrina she said? but doubt it was her real name she seemed very sarcastic as she said it and other employees didn't know her name. Asked for extra cream and sugar in a latte, very rudely she told us that lattes are made with milk as if we were stupid. Not a fan of this location. The counters are really dirty, trash and powered sugar (or something) scattered over all the counters. As others have said, they were out of one item we ordered, then couldn't make our second choice because the machine wasn't working. There should have been more employees working as they had a long wait in the drive thru and inside. Having a hard time finding a good DD these days. read more

I've had several bad experiences here. Once I waited too long for an item and was asked to pull ALL the way around the building to the front of the store. I just ordered a bagel and iced beverage, but I guess that was too complicated for that day. Other days they are quicker, but never fast. The manager sometimes operates the drive thru window and he really shouldn't. He never has a good attitude and always acts like it's a HUGE deal that he has to work while at well..at work. UGH I would not want to be an employee there if I had to work with him. I've complained via the website before and it was never addressed. They are independently owned/operated. If I didn't like their coffee so much I'd never go back. There isn't a starbucks on this side of town before my work, so this is my only option other than McDonalds. 02/03/12 update - Thank goodness my Vanilla Chai was correct this morning otherwise there would be nothing positive to say. They were insanely busy, which is fine, but the staff looked disorganized. I purchased a manager's special donut and an everything bagel. Well, the donut was old and a little crispy and the bagel was a cinnamon raisin with cream cheese. Ummmm everything bagel is way different than a sweet cinnamon raisin bagel. So another bad experience down. It seems though my bad experiences are limited to the drive thru so maybe I should go inside from now on. read more

I go to this Dunkin' Donuts 2-4 times a week, around 8:30am. (that's the time my work commute brings me by this specific Dunkin') and , with no exaggeration, they are out of maple donuts EVERYTIME I go. And I am not trying to buy several donuts, I am trying to buy ONE maple donut. Yet at 8:30 IN THE MORNING they NEVER HAVE ONE. I don't like other donut flavors, and yet I can't get one donut in the one flavor that I like. If there were another donut place on my commute to work, I would stop going to this one altogether and go somewhere else. read more
