Oh, beloved Big Daddy. How I have missed you…read more After Big Daddy Ross' Cafe closed the doors to their Bay Point location, I was a lost, wayward child. Hungry, depleted, lost (and likely protein-deficient due to the loss of my beloved cheese omelet with avocado), I scoured the earth in search of another breakfast spot nearby, but none were worthy. They just didn't offer up the amazing flavor and friendly faces (hey Omar, Ross, Gaby and da crew!) that Big Daddy's always did. Then, one day, I was picking up a takeout order at a nearby brekkie spot and as I'm strollin' along, Ross himself runs out of their new location to greet me. It was a beautiful reunion and a welcome sight. I finally realized why I hadn't had my omelet in so long even though they had only relocated to downtown Pittsburg: the name change left me totally in the dark! But now that I'm back in the Light(house), I'm back to being a regular fixture in my old hangout. And it's just as good as it always was. Thanks, Big Daddy!

I got an Iced Ube Latte & it did not stand a chance against me. I fell in love at the first sip. It wasn't overpowering with sweetness, just right, however, the Ube flavor was definitely present! And the Ube tasted REAL, not the artificial stuff (not sure if it was artificial or not, and if it was artificially flavored, they did amazing). I can't wait to be back to try their pastries/sweets. The presentation was so rough that we genuinely laughed because we couldn't believe it was being served that way. Good coffee and food can be forgiven for an occasional mistake, but poor customer service is much harder to overlook. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby.
