Stopped by here on a Saturday morning and the store was busy. Service: Service was fair as expected during busy hours. Took about ~20mins for our 2 orders so it wasn't that efficient although we didn't mind the wait. Ambiance: Super casual shop that's more of a to-go than sit down and eat. Plenty of tables inside. Food: Original bagel (eggs, cheese, and a protein of choice) - I got turkey sausage but it was more of a patty so I really hope that was turkey lol. I love eating bagels but not on a regular basis due to their high fat/high calorie content. And finding a decent bagel shop in California is tougher than you might think. Especially in past visits visiting New York/New Jersey where those states have the BEST bagels hands down. However, after making a trip to the East Bay city of Brentwood, I may have to rethink my choices. This takes me to "Willy's Bagels & Blends", a place that has withstood the test of time and has been around since the mid-2000's. Since I do not frequent Brentwood very often, I needed something to keep me full from my drive home (as I was heading from Oakland to Sacramento). I arrived here with my lady during the morning of Saturday 7/5/2025 at around 10:00am. As for the location, it is a bit of a drive from Highway 4 (the only major highway to travel through here) but once I eventually made it here, I knew that this would be the right pick. Located at the Town Centre Plaza, this place is situated in between Brentwood Blvd., Central Blvd., and 2nd St. Parking was relatively easy to find as this strip mall also houses a CVS Pharmacy and a Safeway supermarket. Upon first entry, I enjoyed how much energy the employees/staff brought to this place. Behind the glass fixtures showcases a huge variety of fresh-made bagels including plain, everything, sesame, sourdough, jalapeño, cheesy garlic, tomato basil, and much more. Since we wanted a bagel that would fill us up, we went with a "Garlic Cheese" bagel complete with bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and sharp cheddar cheese. Total price was a very reasonable $7 + tax. In addition to the dozens of bagel options, this place also has a huge coffee, espresso (hot or iced), smoothie, and tea selection. And if you wish to try more of a gourmet coffee, I highly recommend "Big House Beans" which is just a couple doors down. After placing our order, our bagel is ready in about 6-7 minutes. I do have to say that this thing is huge and can easily feed two people. The bagel was absolutely delicious, hearty, and made to perfection. The fillings also hit the spot as this kept my lady and I full for several hours after consuming this. All in all, "Willy's Bagels & Blends" was a great choice and a business that I highly recommend. They are open as early as 6:00am (seven days a week) while closing by 3:00pm. Great service, excellent prices, and yummy bagels. My rating, a unanimous five stars. read more

Whenever my husband and I are back in town to visit family we always come here for the nostalgia or maybe just me. I love breakfast and always loved Willy's as far back as I can remember. My mom used to always order the cinnamon twists as a kid which are no longer there. But the cinnamon roll i ordered for My kids was fought over and obviously delicious for both my little ones fighting for it. The mango smoothie was just okay. And the toffee coffee was also just okay. Will order something different next time. But my sandwich however was absolutely phenomenal. The Florentine breakfast sandwich was to die for. Esp with the bagel i chose. But I'm sure it would be fine with any other bagel. My husband said his lox bagel was the best he ever had but the pesto was an "interesting" choice. We got two breakfast bagels- The Ultimate and the Cheesy Chorizo Avocado (monthly special). The bagels were great. They were very soft without being undercooked. Very tasty. There was a good amount of fillings. It was good size. The Ultimate was better than the Chorizo. The chorizo was in a patty, and didn't really taste great (not terrible, just not amazing). The drink I got was not good. The Chai Tea Latte was way too sweet for my taste. I prefer my tea to have more of a spice Chai flavor, and lower on the sugar. In this one, all I could taste was sweetness. I drank about half before tossing. Overall, I'm glad I came, the bagel sandwiches here are quite good. read more

My mom came to Brentwood to meet up with a girlfriend who lives out in the Brentwood area, and they ended up at this place. My mom's friend ended up giving her a box of bagels to take home, and I didn't have one until the next day, but what really stood out to me was even as a day old bagel, it kept its freshness and flavor. You could've fooled me and told me that bagel was made that same day, because it was outstanding. I can't speak to the noise level, but given that I don't have many reasons to go to Brentwood, I think I'd have to come by here if I was ever in the area. read more

Willy's Bagels used to be my favorite place to take my family, but I will never be going back and I strongly urge others to reconsider as well. The employees look completely unprofessional: hair not tied back, one wearing a shirt that read "Hot girls have tattoos",. One of them was in actual pajamas. and another in a revealing crop top with their bra exposed. This is completely inappropriate for a food establishment. And just embarrassing for the reputation of the place and Brentwood. The store itself is filthy. The smell of burnt bagels lingers throughout the space because there is no working ventilation system !! Like WTF leaving employees and customers breathing in smoke. The high chair provided for my baby was sticky and dirty, clearly not cleaned in weeks. Huge health issue. The strap was broken And I ended up just sitting my baby on my lap Our order was another disappointment: bagels with cream cheese that were smashed and poorly presented. There was SO MUCH cream cheese on them. To make matters worse, employees were having loud, inappropriate conversations about alcohol and drugs infront of customers to the point we decided to move outside to their tables. We actually seen an employee work on a bagel, pull their phone out to check what seemed to be the time and put it back in their pocket WHILE MAKING MY FOOD and then called it out This is not just unprofessional it's unsanitary and unsafe. The owners are clearly not present and should be ashamed. I am very concerned for both the employees' health and the safety of customers. Unless serious changes are made immediately, this business will be reported to OSHA and the local Health Department for investigation. Until then, I will not be returning, and I encourage others to avoid this establishment. I work for the county and this place needs to get shut down as this is NOT normal . Poor, shabby, dirty and depressing !! Never again - it's beyond grubby in here now, shame as it used to be a nice spot to go - also NO WORKING TOILET!!! I was under the impression that if a toilet wasn't working in an eatery then that establishment should close ? Coffee was ok - hence one star 3 bagels left at 11.50 and as I sat there for a miserable 20 minutes- 18 people came in to hopefully order a bagel - 17 of those left with a few adding the comments of "i thought this was a bagel shop!" The floors, tables, chairs, doors, display cabinets, posters and labels stuck down with aged dried out sticky tape.. For a family run local business it's such a shame that it has gone to the dogs! Been here a handful of times over the past few years and always disappointed. The store itself is pretty dirty and dingy. Tables are always sticky and floor is very dirty. Last time I went here, there were flies in the bagel case. The food itself isn't great. Yes yes yes!!!! I got the Turkey Deli sandwich on a spinach and artichoke bagel and it was prob one of the best bagel sandwiches I've had in a long time. 5 stars all the way! My wife and I came after having coffee next door at Big Bean and wanted to know what the hype was at Willy's. Right when we came inside the store, the smell of fresh bagels and coffee was in the air. We were greeted by one of the owner's family members who was super nice and helpful. He recommended their Club bagel sandwich which is highly popular and an item that sells a lot. The bagel sandwich goes for about $8 and it's neatly stacked with cheese, avocado, bacon, turkey, tomatoes, lettuce and other seasonings. It's a big size and definitely keeps you full. The banana peppers give off an additional flavor which is key to the club. We enjoyed every bite and is worth coming for. Their bagels are fresh and you can tell they're house made by the look and texture of these bagels. They are doughy and has a nice sweetness to them. Going to any Willy's always gives off a nostalgic, family-friendly vibe. Even when it's crowded, the staff works super well as a team. I've been going to Willy's from time to time when I'm in the area for over 10 years now and their food has always been prime. This visit I got the Pesto Bagel with Spinach Dill Cream Cheese. Their Pesto Bagel has consistently been a favorite of mine and it tends to sell out! This was my first time having Spinach Dill Cream Cheese and it had just the right amount of flavor- the cream cheese didn't overpower it at all! I also got the Cinnamon Dolce latte with oat milk which seems to be a seasonal drink right now and did not disappoint either. Growing up their smoothies were a favorite of mine as well. I'm so used to "chain" bagel places that I almost forgot what a legit bagel tasted like. Willy's by no means compares to NY bagels (I'm a former East Coaster-I'm picky when it comes to bagels), they were still pretty good. Sunday morning was pretty jamming but I was impressed about how quickly the line moved and the food was ready quick. My boyfriend and I got the breakfast bagel, no meat. Egg and cheese on a multi grain bagel hit the spot since we were in the middle of moving & needed some serious sustenance. You can order ahead, as well. Lots of outdoor seating and plentiful parking. Their bagel and lox is fire. It's not traditional, but that's also just a preference. I've actually come to love the way they put all the toppings on it. You can also just adjust your sandwich to have what you do and don't want on it. Any sandwich or drink or donut you get from here is a 10/10. One of my favorite bagel places! I always order their smoked lox in an asiago bagel with lettuce, tomatoes, arugula and I add avocadoes on mine, and add a few bucks. Then I pair it with their ice blended drink, mocha mania! I didn't get a chance to take a pic, coz I gobbled it up in 2 bites and sipped my drink in 4 seconds.
