Always on the lookout for local dining, I branched out to Pittsburg from Brentwood in search of a different brunch option. Lighthouse Cafe has a great corner space in downtown, that's clean, spacious and offers reasonable prices on their simple and comforting dishes. I ordered a basic Healthy Scramble (egg whites, veggies, topped with avocado) and appreciated the option of getting a pancake in lieu of toast. Nice staff, who was very attentive and the lighthouse themed decor was fun. It's a bit out of the way to drive here on a regular basis but I'll come back.

As usual this place and food are still good enough for you to smack your momma. Service is still customer oriented and exceptional. The new location is perfect. On a corner and very visible, nice and clean.

Good food. Good prices. Good service. Nice environment. Small, but comfortable little cafe. Great addition to downtown.

I called the day prior to see if they'd be offering veterans discounts. The employee said they would and just to inform them that I'm a vet. We arrived to a pretty busy atmosphere. The place was packed & a bit understaffed. Seating took about 20mins & service after seating another 30mims. I got the Belgian waffle combo, again. I get cooking larger portions & keeping things warm. My eggs and bacon were not kept warm and were delivered cold. They both were inedible. I politely asked for another serving. The 2nd serving was perfect. That must not have sat well w/mgmt. The gentleman who took my order was the person I spoke w/over the phone. I reminded him of the phone call. I complained about the cold food to him also. When he brought the check there was no discount... Over all experience 2.5outta5 Things don't always go perfect...

I love the lighthouse cafe. It's a child hood staple for me. Omar is the absolute best! I don't only look forward to the amazing food but the service as well. He always remembers my order, even from when I was a little kid ordering! He never forgets and that honestly is such a great feeling. I've always loved visiting this family business from when it was big daddy Rosses cafe in bay point since I was a kid to now it being the lighthouse cafe in Pittsburg, and now I get to bring my own little family to enjoy it now too. No matter how far I live, this place will always be my favorite to stop at and I will always gladly make the drive. This is the best breakfast spot in the area. The hash browns are amazing I forgot a before pic because we went straight to eating but this was the after math I can't wait to go back already and enjoy it all over again! Thank you so much to the staff, to omar, the waitress and most importantly the chefs ‍

This weekend was their grand opening. The place was filled at 9am but there were still tables available. The staff was spot on. They said just grab an open table, and when we sat, they were spot on. Took our beverage order, coffee and water and came back in a few minutes. Being that the tables were filled, they didn't rush us for our order but checked in twice to see if we were ready to order. The menu has many offerings. So finally my wife and I are lite breakfast eaters. We ordered the Veggie Omelette, hash browns and English muffins to spit between up. So glad we did since the servings are huge. As for the omelette and hash browns 4/5 Omelette was filled with veggies but way too many red onions. Hash browns were cooked perfectly 5/5. Crispy outside and fluffy middle. We found a new Gem in Downtown Pittsburg for breakfast date. Yes I said Date, 34yrs of marriage and counting...

Great place for breakfast and lunch in Downtown Pittsburg. We went to Big Daddy Rosses at its previous location and loved the food. This location is definetly a more modern look and feel. The name and location may have changed but the food is still excellent! We had the california omelete, sub toast with a pancake (2.50 upcharge) and the cheeseburger with french fries. The omelete was fluffy, good amount of ingredients inside, and they didn't skimp on the avocado. The pancake was tasty and super fluffy! The cheese burger was a perfectly cooked, the meat was seasoned well. Very yummy! The french fries were nice and hot! We had a great meal all around. The service was outstanding! Severs would ask if we needed anything or offered refills consistently. The place was busy, which is great to see. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great! Made me think about what I'll get next time.

Stumbled on this cafe on a Sunday morning after church! It is right across the street from the Steeltown coffee shop. What a gem! Great breakfast with all the classics: eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits gravy, French toast! Attentive waitress and managers. It was the first time, but won't be the last. We'll be back!

A great new spot in Pittsburg! I stopped by the Lighthouse Café for their grand opening today and had a fantastic breakfast experience. The place has a fresh, welcoming vibe and you can feel the passion the owner, Ross, puts into it -- he was friendly and genuinely cares about the community and his customers. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the service was quick and attentive, even with the opening day rush. It's conveniently located down the street on the corner right across from Lumpy's (formerly Big Daddy Ross's Café), so it's easy to find. I highly recommend giving Lighthouse Café a try if you're in Pittsburg and want a satisfying breakfast or brunch. I'll definitely be back!

Hands down one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in a long time. Service was fast, the food was outstanding, and every bite felt thoughtfully made. The chef brought great energy and made the experience even better. Add in the stunning oceanfront setting, and this place easily stands out. It's polished, memorable, and absolutely worth a visit whether you live nearby or are just passing through.

Back again with my Ladies from church, we each enjoyed our food tremendously. I tried something new the Alaskan omelette very tasty season two perfection. Katie waited on us again along with the other servers and Ross the owner was just as kind and accommodating as the time before.

had to come back for another review. i absolutely love this place they handled the valentines crowd no problem. the place was clean service was fast, polite, and personal. the food was amazing again they're batting 100% in my book. i happened to be serviced by the same waitress which lets me know they treat their employees well enough that they want to maintain a job and she also remembered me and was in a very good mood which makes me think they have a good workplace chemistry i love being here it feels personal like going to a friends house for brunch 10/10 will obviously be returning

The lid on my coffee wasn't secured properly, and the drink spilled before I had even taken a sip. We let the staff know and moved to another table. A gentleman, who I assume may have been the owner or manager, then told us we couldn't sit at that table because the tables were arranged a certain way for the "best flow." We moved as requested, but the way he spoke to us was unnecessarily rude and made the entire interaction feel awkward and uncomfortable. I then asked the barista if she could replace the coffee that had spilled, and I was surprised when she told me I would have to purchase another one. Considering I hadn't even taken a sip and the spill happened because the lid wasn't secure, I expected a little more understanding. Unfortunately, her response and demeanor were also quite rude. It was such an odd experience, especially over something that could have been resolved so easily with a little kindness and basic customer service. Good coffee, terrible service. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The first time, I was deciding between two drinks and asked the cashier which one she recommended. I went with her suggestion, but after trying it, I realized I really didn't like the taste. I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.
