Used to go here every week to get my morning drink. The cashiers I get are usually nice, but not today . I have a prepaid order on the app for a medium latte with add ins I already paid for it. The lady at the window says I need to pay her an additional fee to have less ice for them to fill my drink up to the rim . I was wondering why she didn't just give me a large cup and fill it to where the medium size should be filled out but no she was insistent that I pay an additional fee even though I already paid on my app to pick up my drink through drive-through.. Pretty sure that's illegal since I already paid before hand.. is it really was an extra charge for ice how come the Dunkin' app didn't charge me in the first place ? hm So my seven dollar drink would come out to almost 9 dollars for a medium drink that's insane. pretty sure it was like a shift leader manager not sure why they're worried about a multi million dollar business. will not be coming here anymore . going to support local coffee shops from now on read more

I've been trying to get a English muffin toasted for a week. I've tried everyday to get a English muffin and when I do it's always an issue. Not toasted. No silverware. No butter on the side (as requested) or extremely burnt. I'm not the one to complain but I don't think this shouldn't have been bagged and given to anybody. Rude staff. I went through drive thru to order some coffee, I asked for some syrups in it, and the lady was really disrespectful and tried to rush us. Then, when we went up to the window, we waited about 10 minutes, and the lady asked to see our receipt number because they apparently lost our order. My wife and I have been going to the El Cajon location for about a week due to their commercials. We've been 4 times and they have been great. The Carmel Chocolate cold brew is the best!! To top it off, went on Thursday (4/20/23) and so far everyone there has been very good, but Paris just lit up the place!! She was great and so was the coffee, breakfast tacos, chocolate croissant and donuts!!! I noticed several poor reviews, but they must have changed because we've been very pleased with everything! Paris just added to the experience, she was helpful, friendly and has a great smile!!!! Give them a try, my wife and I have no issues with this location, just great products, a clean atmosphere and very good people that work there too! read more

Food is decent. They do have an issue about getting an order correct. When you order, try to be as clear as possible. I wish they would give you a black coffee and I would be able to put the stuff in it. I ordered a coffee with cream and all you can taste is the cream. I used to love going here as a treat. It was fun. My favorite was the strawberry coolatta. Here recently, every drink my boyfriend and I have gotten from this location is trash. Both times I have complained and gotten 0 compensation. Unless they fix their products and offer compensation for their mistakes, I will no longer go to their business. The coolatta was not mixed properly, was bitter, and had a hint of mayo the first time this problem happened. The second go round, it's unmixed and sour once agin. The iced coffee that was ordered was awful, trash. The customer service isn't the best either when it comes to trying to contact anyone. Takes weeks, then they don't even pull through. read more

I have been to this location about a dozen or so times. Yesterday was by far the worst experience I think I have seen anywhere. They were busy, but not any more then usually, they had what appeared to be a lot of staff. It took well over a half hour to get the bagel minis. During that half hour of waiting and not saying anything to anyone I saw no less than 10 different customers get yelled at by one specific worker. Anytime anyone asked the cashier how much more they might be, and all but one asked nicely, a food preparer person would uell at them and tell the cashier to refund them. The cashier was nice and appeared to be almost in tears anytime this other worker got involved. One customer who was waiting prior had been a drive through customer and she waited with me about 25 mins, not sure how long she was in there before I was or how long she spent in the drive through. Another gentleman who eventually became grumpy, was waiting awhile prior to me entering the store. I waited with him 20 mins before he asked originally nicely then not so nicely how much longer for his plain black coffee. The food preparer came out and jumped all over him verbally and then he became less then nice. They were very helpful and efficient with the door dash orders, one delivery driver made three appearances and they always rushed his orders. Today because I had a coupon in the app, and a gift card we tried them again. The cashier different than yesterday and extremely grumpy wanted to charge us for the coupon, and said the app was wrong with what it said. Since I needed to run errands in other parts of the county we left and had no issues at another location. During this trip as well, a customer who was waiting when we entered had her personal cup lost by the employees and they wanted to argue that a different ladies order was hers and that they were working on hers. The other lady agree it was her order too. Not sure if both ladies got their drinks, or if they one had her cup returned, we left before the end of this saga. read more

I asked the person taking the order on the speaker why they can't just post a sign in the drive through informing people and head stated it wasn't his responsibility... in other words no apology equals terrible customer service. read more

My donut is not very good. My husband ordered a sandwich and hashbrowns. The bacon isn't cooked and the bag of hashbrowns isn't even full (see picture) my husband wouldn't even finish his sandwich because he said it was so bad. My donut was ok but much prefer other shops. I go here about once a week and I'm still asking myself why ! The coffee is always a guessing game it either taste like old toilet water or it's good . The donuts are mediocre they don't make them there . If u go inside look to the left that lil office is a disaster! U would think the manger would keep the office looking somewhat organized since everyone can see it . Today when I went I got 2 donuts one strawberry and one maple , they have them to me in a bag with the donuts on top of each other frosting to frosting . I have ordered coffee from here on more than one occasion; and it never fails that they screw up my order. I order a Decaf Latte. The first time I ordered, I asked for a sugar free syrup, and was given a regular flavor. I am a Type 1 Diabetic, and this mistake caused my sugar to go up to almost 350. The next couple times I ordered the same drink with no flavor syrup. Second time I received a cold coffee with the cup half filled. 3rd time cold coffee again and half filled again. I don't know what this stores deal is, but it's not like I am ordering a complicated drink. I tried giving this place a couple chances to redeem themselves but both times they failed miserably. read more

I ordered a large pumpkin spice latte iced with a dozen of custom chosen doughnuts. The cashier was really fast, I didn't see her brew the espresso so I assume it's was prebrewed. The medium has 2 shots and the large has 3 shots but keep in mind the cups were huge! I couldn't really taste the coffee.. it tasted like sweetened slight pumpkin syrup milk. I would not recommend. Review strictly on customer service. I've been inside (never used their tables or restroom) to order and used their drive thru on multiple occasions. Last visit i used their DT, was in a rush and left, later realizing I never got a receipt or my change! I ordered 2 wake up tortilla things ($2 for 2) and a medium matcha. Gave them $10 and was shorted $4. No receipt given, nothing. I called later, spoke with a nice "lead" as she described herself since a manager wasn't on duty, left my number but received no call back. Called again 3 days later and left a number and still over 3 weeks, no call back. Matcha iced had a good taste BUT I only had 4 sips and that was it! ALL ICE!! the "lead" i first spoke to offered me to come back to get another drink but who wants to go back when its inconvenient. I just wanted my money, my change! She did not understand what we were saying to her. We told her we ordered already online. She got someone from the back to come out and talk to us. I ordered an iced coffe with no sweetner and was given an iced coffee with sweetner they took it back to re make it and then I was given something that looked watered down. I go in and ask for a hot black coffee instead with hardly any sweenter, I specified I hardly wanted any at all and was given a cup that was so sweet it tasted like a latte. I love Dunkin, and I mean I love it. However, the experience I had at this particular place was pretty bad. The food was great, the coffee is always my favorite, but the customer service was the worst. I had my wife and two boys, who age from 1-3, and this woman was the rudest woman to my wife and kids. Very rude to my 3 year-old who asked about a donut, and I often talk about manners to my boys, but this woman didn't have an understanding of manners or just how to be kind. Customer experience is a large thing, and is essentially the face of your company, and the DD in El Cajon has an ugly face. It would've been a one star, but I love donuts and coffee. But the tables are never cleaned off, at least when we go. I always have to clean off the table with my handwipes I keep in my purse, there's usually donut crumbs, spilled coffee, etc. and litter all over the floor. I understand when it's really busy, it's hard to clean up, but c'mon, when it's not, send someone to clean.
