Now, hot sandwiches are wrapped in paper and then in foil. This method traps moisture, causing the bread--especially their delicious sourdough--to become soggy instead of crisp. It seems like this change was made to save money, but it really takes away from both the presentation and the quality of the sandwich. For a sandwich that costs $12.95, I would gladly pay a few extra cents for the original packaging if it meant keeping the bread fresh and crusty.

It's a smallish space and indoor seating was really full at 11 AM on a weekday. Because of rain, the outdoor benches were not in use, and I saw closed-up patio-umbrellas too. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. This café also sells a number of beverages, including fresh ground espresso, and various teas And they sell some bakery goods, candies, and quite a variety of dry-packaged teas and coffee. The parking right in front Café Jun can get pretty full, but there's plenty parking in the rest of the shopping center. You can enter the shopping area from eastbound US-40 Baltimore National Pike, or from westbound Frederick Road. It's just east of Centennial Lane/Bethany Lane and about a mile West of US 29. The larger shopping area has a diner 3-strip mall sections, one of which is called Princess Shopping Center, so I'm a little confused which mall-name covers which shops. One time my partner was standing outside with one of our doggos and I was inside ordering us coffee/breakfast. The owner came up to me and told me that we can bring our dog in. I couldn't figure out how he even knew that they were my people or how he saw them because they weren't standing near windows or doors. But that just shows how much they pay attention to their customers. When I found out that they had coffee flights after I already had been going there for months, I about about lost it. We had all 3 sizes. For us 6 inch was good for 4-5 people, 8 inch for 5-8, and 10 inch is ~8-14 (and we had some left over afterwards). The cakes were always ready exactly when requested. They have slices of cake for sale but only for a subset of the cake options. They also have gelato. The interior of the shop is really nice. When you walk in, there are pastries in one display case, but you walk further down to order, which made it a little awkward to say "hey, can we walk back down and I'll point to which baked goods I want?" But the guy behind the counter obliged and we picked out a few items. The pastries were fine. A croissant, pain au chocolat, and chocolate cookie were all good, but nothing spectacular or standout from what I might find elsewhere. If I come back, I think I'll try some of the sandwiches or breakfast items.
