First things first, the iced latte was exactly what I needed. As someone who runs on iced coffee year round, this one definitely hit the mark. I also tried a gluten free cookie that the owner personally recommended and it was delicious. Always appreciate when someone can point you in the right direction with gluten free options. The whole vibe of the cafe is cozy and welcoming with lots of cute places to sit, read and hang out for a while. Perfect for catching up with friends or opening a book and pretending you're in your "main character at a coffee shop" era. They also have smoothies, great snacks and a small selection of items from local artisans which makes it even more fun to browse while you're there. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be one of those spots I'd pop into regularly for a latte and a quiet moment. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Fairhaven area.

The shop is super big with lots of cozy seating to sit and relax and enjoy the day. It's such a unique shop and I love their decor and the vibe. I love that they also have items for sale by local small businesses and do small pop events too. They have monthly specials that are always yummy and I cannot explain how good their fall donuts are. I def have dreams about them. The staff is super sweet and I always love talking to them. I cannot stress enough how you should check out this spot. Who doesn't love a place that gives back to animals?

Honeydew Donuts is a local New England-based coffee and pastry chain…read more I spent a good chunk of my high school years working a part-time after-school job at the Sacred Hearts Congregation building a few blocks away from this location in Fairhaven on Huttleston Avenue. Over 20 years later, I still visit when I'm back in town from San Diego -- not just for the sentiment, but for for their Cinnamon Sticks. We do not have Honeydew Donuts in San Diego, nor do we have anything remotely close to a Cinnamon Stick, which is a 480-calorie flaky yet sturdy pastry twirled around a delicious (but not dominant) cinnamon paste, then glazed with a sugary frosting. The frosting caramelizes during the baking process to form a sweet crust around the pastry. I have lived in many places, visited many countries, and there is not a better morning pastry to be had. Everyone in New England should be thankful for having easy access to Cinnamon Sticks across a myriad of Honeydew locations. I've had cronuts, and I still much prefer the Cinnamon Stick. Like a Krispy Kreme donut, it is best to have a Cinnamon Stick when they're hot and fresh from the oven. This is a rare and unannounced occasion, but if you go to a Honeydew Donuts location often enough, this magical moment is bound to happen to you. I'm not an avid coffee drinker, but I will say Honeydew's coffee is more comparable to the mild flavor of Dunkin' Donuts than the more aggressive and bitter Starbuck's kind of coffee. There is absolutely nothing fancy about this chain, and some of the stores in the chain suck entirely (they may smell weird, or have undisciplined/unclean staff -- i.e. the abysmal Norwood, MA location) -- but this location has always been consistent, staffed well, managed well, and very clean.
