Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

The space is bright, with colorful walls and modern flooring. There were a few other small groups when I arrived. I received a friendly smile at the counter and ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. It's not on the menu, but they can make a variation of the "Hot Cream Earl Grey Tea Latte" with vanilla and lavender added. Unfortunately, they didn't have lavender syrup. Drinks are served only in paper cups, with no ceramic option. Pastry selection was limited -- no scones or danish -- so I ordered a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin. After a short wait my order was ready. The tea latte was extremely hot and needed nearly 10 minutes to cool before I could drink it. Once cooled, it was fine, but I really missed the lavender. The Pumpkin Muffin had good flavor but was too sweet for me. Overall, not the kind of coffee shop I'd normally choose, but a decent stop if you're just looking for a hot beverage.

I did not stay but a few minutes due to the total loss of ambiance. The lights are so bright and white that you don't feel like you want to Seattle down and buy coffee, which will hurt their sales for sure. I did purchase a latte but it was very watery and so I threw it out after I left. Diffinitly won't return unless new owners turn it into a coffee shop as it should be, not a cold drab experience. It is self serve, but that's normal. Sure hope for an improvement as it would be nice for us to go to a coffee shop within our area.

Food: Ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra frothy. I would have liked it served in a mug, but they only offer paper cups. The drink was nicely made. I am used to having the tea steeped first and then finished with frothed milk. In this case, the milk was frothed first and the tea bag was added afterward. The result was a very frothy drink, but the tea flavor was a bit weaker than I prefer. Service: I arrived close to noon and the place was about half full. There was only one person working, taking orders, handling payment, and making drinks. Because of that, it took a while to place my order. That said, the person doing all the work was super friendly and helpful, and took the time to make the drink properly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxing, with lots of big windows and natural light. There are several different seating areas with various table and chair configurations. There is counter seating, high tops, and overstuffed leather chairs. It was a cold day, but the space was very comfortable inside. Everyone was having quiet conversations and being respectful of the environment. Overall, a nice visit. It would benefit from a bit more staffing to speed things up, and ceramic cups for hot drinks would be a great addition.

This coffee shop was recommended to me by a colleague so I dropped in before going to luxe bay. The cafe is bright and beautifully designed. They have a full cafe and full bar as well. I ordered their spDevine. coffee drink called the Honey Bee latte. It had a lovely honey jasmine syrup. It was only $4.25!! I also tried the cinnamon roll bread which was absolutely delicious but cost as much as the coffee lol.
