Just bought a house nearby and started visiting this DD after avoiding the stores in nearby Cary and Crystal Lake due to old coffee and baked goods. The Island Lake store renewed my love of Dunkin!! The coffee is the best ever, and always hot and fresh. The bagels, muffins and donuts are so soft and fresh too. I am now a regular here and only have to tell them what size I want... This place can rarely get an order correct. And more often than not I ask for a small/medium and they give me a large (which I also have to pay for). I'm lucky if I ever get a receipt too. This place seriously needs a new staff who can get a damn coffee order correct. read more

The Hispanic woman taking the orders at the island lake DD on 176 has a horrible attitude. It's not the first time I had a bad experience at this DD and a confrontation with this rude woman! Today, however was the absolute worst! I was having a really great morning, and decide to try the new Girl Scout flavor coffee. So I get to the window finally and of course they tell me to hang on. So I finally order a medium iced coconut cream with one cream only and no sugar. She says Hot or Ice? I say again iced. I get to the window and my coffee looks like milk instead of coffee and I dread telling her that's to much cream but I do. I say can you please add more coffee that's way too light I ordered only one cream. And she says no you didn't, you ordered cream and I say no I only ordered one cream and now she says no you didn't, and I say why would you question what I ordered? And she then tells me that I need God in my life. No only was she arguing with me about my order but then she insulted me with I need god in my life and she was going to pray for me. All of this because I told her my order was wrong. So she finally tells someone to remake it and then When I tasted it it was remade without the coconut cream. Please don't waste you hard earned money at this location! Drive down the street and go to the next one where they probably have smiles on there faces and appreciate their customers! I ordered combo #5 bagel sandwich with hash browns and it was awful. I couldn't finish it because I couldn't eat this terrible food. I have ordered this combo elsewhere and it as very good by this Dunkin it was very disappointed. read more

I have been forced to go to this location for a few weeks now because of my route to work. They often get my order wrong, sometimes it's not even close to what I ordered. The staff is generally nice, one of the managers once accused me of cutting line.... in the drive thru. I explained that I had ordered and drove up to the window but she refused to believe me. We went there at 6:30 on a Saturday night, wanted to get 2 banana splits, oh sorry, we have no bananas! Ok, well, you have no boats for the banana splits, no sorry, we're out of those so they put three scoops of ice cream in a cup, you want nuts n that? Lol, there was two people working and they both couldn't wait to get outside to have their cigarette! Rude inconsiderate and they obviously didn't want to be there! I would give them no stars if I could. I would NOT suggest going here it is honestly the worst Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. They mess up my order EVERYTIME I have ever been there. The first time I have ever been there I ordered a iced coffee and when I got it there was no ice at all. Today I decided to give it a try considering it was the only Dunkin around and I got two iced coffees (with ice this time) but they messed one of them up, and then I ordered two sandwiches one on a plain bagel and one on a garlic bagel but they gave us one plain bagel and one croissant... Worst customer service I have ever received from a drive thru service. I asked if they could simply do a hot milk with vanilla (in essence, a vanilla steamer), and she flat out refused, saying they could not make it cause it wasn't on the menu. Keep in mind I had just ordered this same thing the day before from the same location. When I mentioned this, the lady taking my order (presumably the manager on duty), told me to tell her who had made the drink before and she would fire them. Seriously?! Don't EVER go to this location. They are rude and are not customer friendly. We tried to order our free beverage for referring a friend and they looked for a loophole to fulfill my request. I have NEVER had a problem getting this free beverage when offered before at other locations. I also believe we were overcharged for the sandwich and coffee that we ultimately got. HORRIBLE LOCATION. Literally the most passionate 1star I am ever going to give. I have given this place MULTIPLE chances granted I buy coffee 2-3 times a week. Let's start with organization. I have worked in a fast paced environment serving coffee at 5 am and yes can be tiring but it's a job and as long as you're paid, you do YOUR job. They have no sort of procedure or organization. They are always bumping with each other and asking everyone where everything is and to do stuff. If you go through the drive through, you better be patient because you'll have to wait and repeat over and over what you want because either they're not paying attention or they don't understand English very well. You drive up to the window and they ALWAYS have to ask again what you ordered. Out of respect, I am not going to call any names but when you read this message, you will know who this applies to. The young woman serving at the window not only doesn't have the right attire but she doesn't even have the energy or desire to be there. Always looking sluggish and unwilling to go the extra mile to provide great customer service. I have been part of their rewards program for a while since I shop at Dunkin so often, it feels nice to get a free drink every now and then. Today, after asking me again what my order was, I clearly stated I had my rewards free drink. She scanned or at least tried many times and when it finally scanned she asked to pay the full price. I was confused because at this point my coupon had disappeared from the screen. She calls her manager out of frustration and uncertainty on how to handle the situation, she comes and starts very rudely yelling at her "well ask him to get the coupon" then yells at me "where is your coupon! Let me see your coupon" and I get very aggravated because she isn't understanding that she had already scanned it so it disappeared when I went back to my main screen. She yelled back at me "nothing I can do, how you want to pay" and just to prevent any further confrontation I handed my credit card and took off. Upon arriving at work with my coffee, it was completely different than I ordered so just emptied it in the drain. Never ever going back here !! This is the perfect example of someone that doesn't care at all about doing their job correctly. They didn't care to make sure I was happy nor tried to resolve any issues. Save your time and money and most importantly, your sanity ! Definitely contacting corporate about this. This can't be happening over and over, what's the point ?
