Just had my first experience at a DD. I'm so late to the party but anyhow. I'm happy to say I'll definitely be back! I didn't know they offered breakfast sandwiches which is customizable in terms of your choice of bread. English muffin, bagel, wrap or a croissant. I enjoy variety and customization! My ham egg and cheese English muffin sandwich was fresh and hot. The prices are very competitive with your typical fast food breakfast spots too. I enjoy being able to get my sweet tooth on by adding their donuts as well. I had me 2 glazed munchkins, light eater I know. Those munchkins were really tasty as well! So today is the first Free Donut Wednesday!! Buy one drink get a free original donut for rewards members. I downloaded the app and placed my order on it and went thru the drive thru which was so convenient and easy. You just go up to the speaker and say you have an online order and give them your order number. What I didn't like is that the options are limited thru the app. Not all their items will be on it like I was looking for milk but it's not on the bottled or cold drinks so maybe if you go in and order instead. I gave the guy my order number and he read back the order and told me to pull up. By the time I did, he handed me a little to go box and my coffee, didn't say a word, no thank you, no hello, ok maybe he's not in the mood who knows. I get home, that's a lie, mid way I opened my box and felt like Fluffy wanting to start eating them already. To my surprise, I had two chocolate sprinkle donuts which is NOT what I ordered but funny thing, it's actually what I WANTED but wasn't an option on the app. Another reason why I didn't like the app as much. Since it's what I really wanted, I'm not gonna complain but had i really wanted what I ordered I would have been obviously disappointed but if they were out of what I wanted I would have expected someone to say something or could have just been divine intervention, who knows. I'm glad Dunkin' Donuts came back to Kapolei and has a drive-thru this time, plus it's even closer to home. I come here usually in the morning to get their Oatmilk Iced Chai Latte. My friend turned me on to this drink. The first time I tried to get it, they said they ran out of oatmilk. So I settled for regular milk and the chai taste was really strong. I tried again on another day and the oatmilk really does mellow out the chai taste making it my new favorite drink. Oatmilk must be a popular choice for drinks because every so often they'll tell me they are out again. I've tried their breakfast sandwiches and I am not a fan. There's this weird taste with either their eggs or breakfast meats that makes me think it's sitting in a rubber lined warmer or something; it has this chemical taste to it. Of course their donuts are always delicious. I like anything with chocolate on it. So minus one star for their weird tasting breakfast sandwiches as well as their long lines in the morning at the drive-thru. If you see the line past Down to Earth next door, just park and go to the counter to get your order. You'll get out faster most of the time than sitting in the drive thru because there's rarely a line inside, at least whenever I go. read more

Visited the Kapolei Commons location on Jan 20, 2023 in the morning around 6:30am I went through drive thru and when it was my turn. I asked the women taking my order what is the default milk that is used for the hot coffee. The response I got was I don't know. Then I was asking about the donuts so I ordered 1/2 dozen and I asked her do you have other flavors/type of donuts that is not on the menu. Her response was I don't know whats on the menu outside. 1) If she did not know the default milk used with the hot coffee. She should of inquired with an employee working. 2) she could of walked to the donuts and rattled off what they had. She has the ear phones for drive thru on. I drove up to pick up my order and no one came to the window and I just watched the employees work. Finally the women came to the window to collect my money with no good morning no greeting. I got my coffee w/ skim and 1/2 dozen donuts and again no thank you or have a nice day. I called the store and I spoke to the manager his name was Roger. I told him my experience and all he could say was sorry and yes she is young and you know young people. He was just making excuses. I told him it does now matter how old you are it's the training that the employees get. Then he started saying he does not understand corporate they put items on the menu that Hawaii does not have and rattling more excuses. It took leas than 5 minutes to order and pay. We ordered coconut donut, sprinkle glazed donut, blueberry & chocolate munchkin donuts. All of it were really good. Carvings satisfied. I decided to try the Avocado bacon treat. I was a little disappointed that all I got fir $4.00 was 1 slice of toast with a smear of avocado sprinkled with some bacon pieces and a seasoning with sesame seeds- which I'm allergic to. Maybe they should ask if you want the seasonings sprinkles? I also got a Glazed blueberry doughnut which I almost returned because there was no glaze on it. Dunkin Donuts has a walk in location and drive thru here in Kapolei. What I love the most is the drive thru isn't ridiculous in the mornings. Thank goodness. I don't about the donuts here, but I can tell you the coffee is awesome! It tastes good, they have different flavors and it's cheap! If I wake up early enough, I try to sneak in a coffee drive before work. What else is good? the hash browns are pretty yummy. My kids request for donuts and hash browns when we come here. Careful, one you start the hash brown addiction, it may be hard to stop. Don't want to deal with the drive thru or walk in? No biggie. Use the app. Order on your phone. #10 of 2018 Sorry, this just isn't for me. Don't really care for the dough they use. They are sweet like a donut but I find it chewier and firm more than I would like. We had the vanilla frosted and the chocolate glazed muchkin. Sugar was okay, could be toned down for dietary requirements. The muchkin was ok with the glazed frosting to starch ratio but that didn't work on the donut. Service was excellent. However, I don't think I will be back. read more

This review is being made after several visits as I do with most reviews, at this point I'm just irritated. Everytime I go they are out of pretty much all coffee ad-ins, all my "hot food" was refrigerated cold. Not even luke warm. Donuts stale af, iced coffee tastes like burnt coffee grounds. Dunkin' Donuts with a drive through? Yes please! I don't usually eat donuts but I'm always passing this location so temptation calls - in the form of glazed donut-y fried goodness! They also have a pretty good selection of drinks and food, although I've yet to try most of it. My favorite donut by far is the French cruller! It's so soft, twisty, and covered in oh so perfect glaze. Be sure to pop inside once in a while to get special ones that are frosted. The maple frosted French cruller is SO GOOD. I feel like the French cruller is not as heavy as other donuts, so it makes me feel better about eating it hehe. I didn't care too much for the other donuts because they were cold and meh. I don't like the thick chewy dough they use. Also, I prefer Starbucks iced coffees over Dunkin. I tried the macchiato and it was EXTREMELY sweet, I took one sip and had to toss it. read more

Pleased to finally have a Dunkin Doughnuts in KAPOLEI Commons. It's great for our community & it surely saves time from driving over to the airport location. I've seen it open for a couple of weeks now & it's always busy! Today I went through the drive through and patiently waited for about 20 minutes in line. Just an FYI, you need to take the second right (pass Sally's Beauty Store) entrance which will lead you to the back of the building.. there you will see the drive through. It's pretty narrow for a double lane, the disposal trucks were having to wait to get between cars to pick up trash. On a good note, the menu board is full of delicious goodies & hot/cold coffees... Didn't know what to order, they all looked delicious! Cashier was courteous & friendly and got my order out smoothly. Will definitely come back to sit inside & try another doughnut or two. read more

My mom & brother go to Dunkin' Donuts kapolei here in Hawaii everyday and have been for years. 3 days ago my mom and brother went through the drive thru and ordered a hot coffee and couple donuts around 7pm hawaii time. There were 2 young females and 1 young male working the window. The young male prepared the coffee and handed it to the female at the window. She then handed it to my mom through the window and the cover fell off which caused the hot coffee to spill all over my mom's left arm. My mom yelled in agony because of the hot coffee on the arm. The workers never offered my mom anything to wipe her arm or no water to cool it off. All the female said was sorry about that, while the male was standing behind her LAUGHING! My mom asked her why is he laughing? He then walked away from sight of the window. My mom did not get their names and just told me about the incident. I am VERY UPSET that this happened and how it was handled. This needs to be addressed. read more

Kapolei's new attraction in the neighbor hood has not disappoint. Can you imagine waiting in a line whether it's dine in or drive thru? Well Dunkin Donuts has done that here at Kapolei and the Airport location in Honolulu. At first I couldn't believe the hype for donuts? Is it that good? Well I say it's awesome! Well not only do I like the filled donuts and cake donuts I like the breakfast sandwiches and drink selection. My first time I actually went around 5:45 am. Yes you got that right they open at 5:00 am but they quickly have patrons in the store and people in the drive thru line. In the morning they have pre boxed options but since I was there early I have a wide array of donuts to choose from. I got the Boston Cream, Blueberry cake donut, and chocolate variations, etc. I ordered the Egg and Cheese on a bagel. I was a little disappointed cause the bagel over powered the egg and cheese. I should have ordered the English muffin with it because the egg and cheese would fit exactly on the muffin. I had Hibiscus herbal tea and loved the soothing taste of the no caffiene tea. I was out of there by 6:00 am but noticed the line that quickly built up while I waited for my order. Note they offer you complimentary Honolulu Star Advertiser while supplies last. The second time I went was early after noon that was another story. The lines for both the drive thru and dine in were long. I waited about 30 minutes but I had limited selection because of the demand of people there. Supply was limited so I had to try new items. And I found out the sour cream cake donut was really good along with the guava filled. So it paid out in the end I found new items to order. Expect a wait when going there and be patient they will get your order out as quickly as they can. Ohhh and they have a mobile rewards app. Try it they even have special offers on it. First and foremost, Ive always been a fan of dunkin donuts since I was young. What I am not a fan of is having to wait an hour for donuts when there are 5 customers in front of me at 11am. Not sure if the manager is intentionally trying to run themselves out of business, but with a closed lobby and a drivethru that services 1 customer every ten minutes... I suspect this location will be replaced by another highly efficient Starbucks within a year. read more

Located in Kapolei Commons, corner end of the shopping center. I figured I would wait a while before I went. Well, I guess I didn't wait long enough. The parking area in that corner is pretty small. Lots of twists and turns. I suggest parking in the main parking area and walk over. The drive thru is no different. I think the main reason for long drive thru wait times is that no one ever knows what to order and can't decide til they get to the speaker. Once I got to ordering, they were out of most of the donuts I wanted. No Boston creme. No vanilla creme. No krullers. Wow. Over half the donut menu was sold out. And it was only 0830 am. Time to make the donuts? Better get crackin. The chocolate sprinkle and vanilla sprinkle donuts were ok. Blueberry cake was a little dry. Nothing spectacular. It was 12 bucks for a dozen. Although the window signs state they are open until 8pm it appears the lobby area is all locked. Therefore the one star is for the lack of service or any type of notification. If you're not gonna open up the lobby then put it on bold letters in your window instead of having me hunt all around for it. After my trip around the island, we visited Kapolei to see how much has changed since I was last there. Since COVID makes time seem even LONGER than it actually is, I was shocked to see Dunkin' located in a mall near Costco. Hubby says I have been here before, but memories before COVID are so hazy... The line for the drive-thru was very LONG. A quick look at the parking lot showed many stalls, so I decided to brave it and go inside. There was a sign that alerted anyone coming in that you had to wear a mask. It was a good choice to park because I walked right up to the counter. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves, and there was plexiglass installed between the cashier and me. I ordered and paid using my Dunkin' app. (Make sure to install and use it so you can rack up rewards!). We ordered two egg & cheese wraps (for the Munchkin), sprinkle donuts (for the Munchkin), a Cocoa Mocha iced latte with oat milk, and two Beyond Sausage sandwiches. We only waited 5 minutes for the entire order. Not bad! The food is always consistently good at all locations. The latte was delicious and so refreshing after a long drive. The Munchkin scarfed down her food, so no complaints from her. The Beyond Sausage sandwiches are so good. I wish there was a Dunkin' on my side of the island so I didn't have to drive so far to get them. The customer service was excellent. I was not rushed to give my order, and I was even told the new Holiday drinks to choose from. Our food was out quick and the donuts were really good. (The Snowflake donuts are so cute and really sweet.) Dunkin' is great for food, drinks, and an easy pick to satisfy those quick cravings! read more

I can't say I've every had a donut I didn't like so with a reputable chain like Dunkin you know the taste and quality are good. Coffee is not my favorite but it's good and there are always really long lines which sometimes slows service. But overall I always enjoy a quick grab and go here. read more

So many times my order has been messed up, wrong donuts, bad beverage...and today was another day. Today, another bad experience. 1. Wrong donuts. Okay so there is 3 types of donuts -- according to the app. So I order 2 "glazed chocolate". Why did I get "chocolate frosted" -- and with sprinkles?? 2. Bad beverage. I ordered "Iced Matcha, with whole milk please" -- Why did my drink taste like colored watered down OR fat free milk...did not taste matcha at all. Who gets donuts and a latte in the middle of the day in a hot city? Well apparently me lol. I met Cuppy (Dunkin's mascot) months ago btw lol. I decided to check out Kapolei's location since I had to work nearby. I usually frequent the airport location more. Unfortunately I misjudged the timing and had to leave the long drive thru line to make my meeting. Came back later only to find the same long line but with different cars. Apparently going inside to order was closed. By the time it was my turn to order, boom, sold out of the strawberry sprinkle donut, boo. I settled for 3 chocolate sprinkle donuts and a few drinks. We got to the window and my order was all mixed up. The guy was sweet and calm though. Seemed like he was new and that's why the line took a while.. Nevertheless, I left with the correct items. Not sure why I got an iced coffee, so plain so blah, I want sweetness. I love and missed Dunkin when they left PC for years, glad they finally made their way back to Hawaii. read more

Just got my 2 drinks, 2 donuts, and a wrap after waiting 10-15mins inside for mobile order. Drive thru was soo long so I decided to mobile order thinking it was gonna be fast ... it wasn't haha. But I can't complain, super understaffed at this location and I just feel so bad. I was a worker once at a pretzel place & I know how hectic it can be ESPECIALLY on a weekend like come'on. Came in for a sweet treat and a cup of Joe with the Mrs. One of the newer locations of D&D. This Kapolei location is neat and trendy in appearance. Maybe it was Saturday evening at 7 pm., but doughnut selection was limited. Still found what we wanted, but I have seen the selection when their were many more doughnut options. Hint: There is free wi-fi here and I noticed people hanging out on their digital devices and the seating is convenient for doing so inclusive of charging stations. For the most part I've had good service using the drive through and when going in to pick up an app purchase. I am not giving them 5 just because there have been some slip ups as far as my order being forgotten front end app and such. Overall, people have been nice and accommodating. I love that this Dunkin' Donuts has a drive through. They also have an app that you can order ahead with or scan when paying for points. Who doesn't love to get perks and rewards? Also, in this age of COVID, convenience and being able to pick up food without leaving my car is a huge bonus. Their donuts are delicious. I usually only order the blueberry munchkins. I like that the flavor is unique to Dunkin'. I'm also a fan of the seasonal pumpkin munchkins. The only problems I have are with any of their savory foods and coffee. On 3 different occasions I ordered the bagel bites, sausage/egg wake-up wrap, and one of their bagel thin breakfast sandwiches. All 3 different menu items on 3 different occasions taste of melted plastic. When I ordered the sausage/egg wrap, I started gagging because the smell of plastic was SO STRONG. Pumpkin lattes were watery and tasteless on 3 different occasions. As a result of the huge problems with savory food and coffee, I can only really come here to scratch the occasional itch for blueberry donuts. In all honesty, Starbucks or even McDonald's up the street would be a way better solution for the family. read more

I've always had a great experience at this Dunkin' that was, until today. With the viral Halloween Munchkin' buckets finally out, I decided to snag one for my kids as an after school treat/surprise. Pulling up to the drive thru there was a decent sized line of cars waiting to order. Once I finally made it to the intercom I asked the employee working the drive thru if they had any more of the Munchkin buckets available and with a huge attitude she replied "we're sold out!" I then asked if they would be getting anymore in and again with an attitude she replied "no!". With nothing else said from this employee but those two responses our entire interaction I was feeling disappointed and a bit taken back at this point, so I kindly let her know that it was ok and that I wouldn't be purchasing anything at this time. As I waited for the few cars ahead of me to get their orders so I could get out of line, I was in complete shock when I saw an employee come out their back door and walk straight to her car with what had to be at least 7 empty Halloween buckets gets in her car and then drives off. And as if that wasn't enough, when I finally passed the drive thru window the employee standing at the window has the audacity to stare me down with the rudest look on her face as if she had some type of problem with me and then rolls her eyes, which I assume is the same person I spoke to through the intercom. Not sure what this employee's problem was, but if you don't like dealing with people maybe don't work a job that requires you to have customer service. Dunkin' do better!! read more

Awful, no customer service whatsoever Went through the drive thru ordered 2 ice coffees, 6 glazed donuts and a breakfast wrap I get home my daughter opens the bag and tells me there is a donut. We tried calling the location no answer so I end up driving back. Told the guy at the drive up what I had just ordered and that in the bag was a donut and not the breakfast wrap and he says ok we will make you another one...???? I said another one? I never even got the first one and he said yah well it's cold.. I get to the window and asked him how does that even happen? Don't you check the bag? He basically doesn't say anything. I asked him what is his name he says Josiah, I asked if there is a manager so after a few mins the manager (Victoria) comes to the window. I explained what happened and said how does that even happen? She explained that the car behind me ordered the donut. I said ok... Doesn't anyone check the bag before they hand it off? Maybe it's my fault, I should have checked it before I left but Um how can you even get that wrong? I told her that her employee doesn't even seem like he wants to work here no apology nothing!! They're located right at the corner of the whole Kapolei Commons property next to the sleep store. You'll have to make a whole round of right turns to get here. Be sure to use the second right when going through the drive thru. This visit compared to the airport location went surprisingly fast for a Saturday 8am visit. All I wanted was munchkins and was completely sold for ten for only $1.99 that we got two orders of just an assortment. I love the cute little box. Christopher expected to get his bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a classic donut. I guess being distracted for getting two for only $5 he forgot to ask. My favorite thing? The hash browns. Get them. 6 for $.99 lol Lastly, the coffee. Last time I got an iced coffee with French vanilla. I thought adding French vanilla was a mistake but it just turns out the iced coffee was. I ordered it again to give benefit of the doubt but the iced coffee is just sour to me. I'll say it. I don't like Dunkin' Donuts coffee.
