slow servic, stale donuts and sweet tea always tastes like coffee!! go to one of the other locations because they have better quality everything!!

    coffee

the service is genuinely slower than the local chick-fil-a...i ordered a large french vanilla swirl. i'm kind of confused on why there are black specks in the bottom of my drink. it has never looked or tasted this horrible.

If you concentrate on it, you can smell that it used to be a car showroom. They seem to have a good menu of baked goods and coffee. Be ready for some non-sustainable prices. 1/2 box of donuts is running over $20 - somewhat of a Ducks Donut model with different flavors and toppings - which are cake donuts made to order. There are some beverage and beer and wine sales too. Folks working behind the counter seemed nice and friendly. Overall good vibe for Leonardtown. Since there isn't a Duck Donuts locally, this is the closest thing to it, but be prepared to shell out more money for donuts than the new DD down the street.

The donuts are fried and prepared when you order, so it takes a little bit to get your order. The cashier was very friendly and helped us choose the flavor of lemonade and wanted. The counter and eating area was clean and cute. There are areas to seat, including tables and bar style tables at the windows. There is also an area with alcohol and sodas for sale. Today was a warm day and they had all the doors propped open to create a breeze. I could imagine enjoying a morning or afternoon working in there or visiting with friends. I look forward to returning and trying their baked goods (cookies, cakes and muffins).

Best coffee/malasada stop in Southern Maryland…read more In this area, there are only a couple of spots I'll go out of my way for when it comes to coffee and pastries and B. Doughnut in La Plata is at the top of that list. The service is always wonderful, and the staff is friendly and welcoming every single time I visit. But let's talk about the real star: the malasadas. These fluffy, flavorful treats blow traditional doughnuts out of the water. I highly recommend the ube malasada it's my personal favorite, and I keep going back for it. It's so good that when I host brunches or have guests visiting, I make a point to pick up malasadas from here. They're always a hit. ALWAYS. If you're anywhere near La Plata, this is a must-visit spot for incredible malasadas, great coffee, and genuinely kind service. It never disappoints.

So I opted for the lemon curd malasada. It was $4.50 for one. when I got in the car I realized she didn't put a napkin or anything in there. When I bit into it, the lemon curd dropped from the bottom onto my dress. It was ok. I don't see the difference between this and a regular donut. I don't think it's worth driving out of the way for to be honest. But to each her own.

Ordered the HALF SMOKED SANDWICH consists of peppers, onion, coopers cheddar, egg, and a hash brown on a brioche bun. The bread is delicious, the half smoked was reminiscent of smoked sausage. I would have liked more peppers and onions. PRALINE PECAN SWEET ROLL is good Nice soft dough texture. The cinnamon spice is delicious very pronounced. I prefer a less sweet roll, the praline made it sweeter than I prefer. I did taste a little tanginess, maybe sour cream or cream cheese. The flavor reminds me of a honeybun. would definitely try the original flavor next time. Tried BANANA PUDDING DOUGHNUT. Doughnut was nice and moist. Filling is light banana flavor. Cookie crumb is my favorite. It tastes like a combo of vanilla wafers and the filling from oreos delish!

The ones I tried were the yeast type of donut and had a terrific consistency being soft and not too dense. Also tried an apple fritter that was almost twice as large as the donuts. The highlight were the croissant donuts. They were layers of buttery, flaky dough in a square format. I've tried the ones from Dominic Ansel when the cronut was at its peak and I prefer the Freddy version. I found the ones with the drizzle on them to be better. If you can't commit to a whole cronut you can get cronut bites for 25 cents each!

The size of the cronut is huge compared to the Dominique Ansel one. Freddy's is the size of your hand where the other is a quarter size smaller. The cronut at Freddy's is also cheaper going at $4.25 versus $7.75 at Dominique Ansel. They come in glaze drizzle, chocolate and vanilla drizzle, maple drizzle and French toast. Cronuts not available or don't feel like a big cronut...ask if they have the cronut bites. They come in a set of three and you can get either glaze drizzle or cinnamon sugar. The size of their classic and specialty donuts are huge. We are talking easily can be sharable (if you want to). Currently the pricing of their donuts are: $1.95 house/ $2.75 specialty/$2.75 cake/ $3.25 monster filled. They have quite the creative list of flavors. No gluten free options though. Their donuts are light and flavorful. It's not overly sweet at all and well balanced. By their size you get your bang for your buck. If you want to get your choosing of flavors, it's better to go at the start of the day. Later in the day you chance that they could be sold out on flavors - especially if they are busy that day. The donuts are packed in whimsical boxes that are colorful and say "You Deserve A Donut." They also have drinks for purchase but we didn't grab any- maybe next time. On the wall they also have cute donut themed shirts with popular cartoons and characters like Bluey, Pikachu and Deadpool. There is limited parking around the shop. Otherwise plenty of street parking. We took our donuts to go but you can also dine there in front of the store where they have picnic tables. The building looks like it might have been a service gas station in the past. It's decorated with a snake mural and they also have neat drawings inside on their chalkboard menu. We will definitely be back since we have friends that live in the next town over who are also huge fan. 100% recommend this sweet place.
